Nail polish

I have been working with three students since May. The longest-serving one has been with me since January of this year.

The building management at work had a barbeque lunch for us on Thursday. I went with my students to fetch some food. It was good. I got a beef sandwich with greens, a corn and bean salad, a Diet Pepsi, and a fudge popsicle.

I had lunch with them, which I don't often do on a Thursday. It was good.

We all had manicures. We all had different colours of polish. My three students looked at my nails and thought that I went to the salon every week.

I give myself a manicure every Sunday. I have only been to a salon once this year, if I am not mistaken. They felt that my polish looked professionally done. It was a nice compliment.

My guy loves my nails. Perhaps I don't notice how much I take care of my nails. I'm glad that I do.

Incompetent co-workers are everywhere!

It has been a busy week. My team of students and I had to work on a software release. We got our work done on time, with quality and accuracy, and planned it as far in advance as possible.

There were some hiccups. The main one was with a project manager. She used to be a software build programmer. She was supposed to train her predecessor. She failed.

It was the perfect storm. Her predecessor decided to take a week of vacation during a major software release. If I ever did that, my manager would not be impressed!

Her backup knew absolutely nothing. To make a long story short, our deliverables needed a couple of changes to two build scripts. It was a simple update for the project manager in the past. The backup build person had no clue what to do. The person who went on vacation had to come back and also had no clue how to update these scripts.

All of us asked the project manager to help out. She didn't. I don't get it. Sure, you have moved on to a different role. However, not helping folks who do not have the knowledge to edit build scripts caused even more issues.

This project manager had the audacity to tell me in an e-mail on Wednesday to send a couple of document links to someone. She even copied my manager. I looked at her responsibilities checklist that she had attached. This task was for her to do. I also have never dealt with this person.

What did I do? I sent her the links, copied my manager on my response, and restated her statement to send them to this person.

It is obvious that she can't do her job well. I am not doing it for her. I have plenty of other things to deal with. Moreover, if she can't answer any my questions, I do not owe her any favours in doing her work.

Spying and spanking

My guy and I have fun conversations.
"I saw you on the conference call this morning," he said to me.
"How come you didn't message me and say hi? Were you spying on me?" I teased.
"No, I would never spy on you. You need a good spanking for calling me a spy," he reasoned.
It's fun being good at being his bad girl.

Ha-penis and do-penis after sex

After sex, my guy and I end up having dopey conversations. We simply do.

On Thursday evening, I had just given my guy a handjob. We had cleaned up and were cuddling.
"You bring me a lot of ha-penis," I said, smiling at him while pointing at his member.
"That's clever and funny!" my guy said, with both of us laughing a lot.
Moments later, it was my guy's turn.
"How come my head hits the roof of your car?" he asked me, looking adorably like a lost little boy.
It's funny how he just sat at the edge of the seat, with his head touching the roof. He asked me why and just kept his head there.

Ah, good do-penis times!

No bra under my t-shirt makes my guy happy

A couple of weeks ago, my guy got turned on by a photo of me in shorts, showing my bare legs. I sometimes forget how turned on he gets. It doesn't take much. He simply loves who I am.

Last week, we were in the treehouse. I could tell all day that he wanted to play with my breasts. I was wearing a pink t-shirt with a scoop neckline.
"Take your bra off. I want to play with your breasts under your shirt," he said, highly aroused.
"Okay," I said.
I unfastened all bra hooks at the back. Moments later, with a bit of help from my guy (he likes to assist, being the polite person that he is), we took my bra off without having me take off my t-shirt.

He played with my breasts that were still under my t-shirt. We both enjoyed the sensation.

I then played with his hard cock in his khaki pants. He loved how my lilac polish looked on my nails as I stroked his erect member.

Eventually, we took his erect penis out of his pants and I gave him a handjob. It was good. My guy said that he loves me, as if it were a mantra.

He came. We saw cum. We did well.

We cleaned up and cuddled afterwards.

I would say that roughly forty minutes later, I put my bra back on. He whistled at me. He's a fun, sweet person.

Treehouse time, a spanking, and kisses

Last Thursday, my guy asked me whether we could have some quality time together. I was game.

My guy had parked next to my car in the lot at work. We decided to take my car over to our usual parking spot. We would then go to our regular restaurant for dinner.

It was nice placing my hand on my guy's left thigh as I drove us over to our regular parking lot. I parked and we go into the backseat. We haven't had treehouse time in my car for a while.

We cuddled for a bit. We kissed and hugged a lot. It was great.

He immediately pulled down my black jeggings and panties. He proceed to pleasure me. It has been such a long time that I came hard. I was lethargic immediately.

He hugged me and was sweet letting me rest for a bit. We chatted. He then started lightly spanking my bare backside.
"I need to spank you," he stated.
"Right now?" I asked him.
"Yes," he replied.
"Oh, no. I'm dopey, though," I replied.
It didn't matter to him. I went over his lap. It was a bare-bottomed spanking right off the bat.

He spanked me fairly hard. It wasn't has hard as it has been in the past, but there was a good sting. He was more interested in pleasuring me, teasing me, spanking me, and finally pleasuring me until I reached orgasm. All of it was nice. I wanted it so badly.

He kissed my left buttock afterwards.
"Hey, did you kiss my butt?" I asked him.
"Yes," he replied lovingly.
"I love when you kiss my butt," I confirmed.
He kissed my right buttock. He's sweet.

I'm a sweet, awesome girl who continues to be spanked

My guy and I had this fun exchange on Thursday.
"I'm a good girl," I told him.
"Yes, you are a good, sweet girl," he replied.
"Are you feeling okay?" I asked him, feeling his temperature by placing my hand on his forehead.
"I'm fine," he said, smiling.
"But, you always say that I'm bad," I replied.
"You're a awesome, good girl. I just say that you're bad so that I can spank and punish you," he admitted.
It's nice that he calls me his good girl. He continues to spank me, which I love, too.

Kisses, hugs, gropes, and smacks during a surprise visit

My guy likes to surprise me now and again.
"Hey," he said in a text message.
"Hey... you're lost?!" I asked him.
"Not yet," he replied with a smiley. "I'm in the office. I just got here."
"What brings you in?" I asked him, as it was 4:48 pm.
"I am trying to talk to a software developer. Did you want to drop by?" I asked him.
"Sure," I replied.
My guy gave me the room number that he was in. I walked over. I caressed his head. He groped my left buttock and ran his hand down the back of my left thigh.

I kissed his head and caressed his back. He played with my crotch.

I sat down and we talked. I teased him and he gave me a playful smack across the upper part of my left buttock, which I enjoyed.

He looked at my cleavage. I was wearing a pink scoop-neck t-shirt. He reached in and helped himself to fondling my breasts. I helped myself to caressing his hard cock in his new khakis.

My guy had to briefly step out to make a phone call. He came back and kissed my neck from behind while hugging me.

We obviously had missed each other. Considering how hectic this week has been at work, his appearance at the office made my week much better!

Reminiscing about my eyesight these days

I have been nearsighted since I was sixteen years old. The nice part about my nearsightedness is that it has never been a horrible prescription.

For a few years after getting my first pair of glasses, I could still get away with not wearing my glasses all the time. It wasn't until I got my first pair of contact lenses towards the end of my undergraduate years that I embraced my prescription.

I have been working from home these past couple of days. On Wednesday, I did a quick outing. I hopped in my car and drove off.

It wasn't until I was at the stop sign at the end of my street that I realized that I wasn't wearing my contact lenses. I was letting my eyeballs breathe. I didn't have my glasses with me, either. Yet, my sight was pretty good. I continued to drive to run my errand and was fine.

My right eye has gone through an eye stroke back in March. It's amazing how far I have come. My eyesight these days reminds me of being sixteen years old again. It's neat. I am just glad that I'm not that age!

Being compassionate is positive

I am fortunate to have three students this term. One of them, before she started her internship, had indicated that she needed surgery in July.

She had her surgery last Wednesday. She stayed in the hospital for a couple of days and has been discharged. She is resting comfortably at home.

I am a sensitive person when it comes to such matters. When my manager injured his eye, I got everyone on the team to chip in for a fruit bouquet. When another writer on my team got injured in a car accident, I ordered a flower and food basket while I was in Montreal training writers over there on behalf of our team.

With my other two students, I made the suggestion to send her a get-well gift. They liked the idea.

As expected, the one student who started in May took the initiative to look up floral gifts and even order it! The other one, who has worked with me the longest, is the youngest, and doesn't exhibit as much initiative, seems to be more comfortable with these two students than the last one that she was with. I am glad, because the other two are slightly older and are mature beyond their years.

We all corresponded back and forth about the floral gift, how to expense it, what to write, and so on. It was a good exercise in being caring human beings.

They will do just fine in this world.

Ladybug luck

I was hungry. I was caught in rush-hour traffic. I had worked up an appetite and went through a fast-through drive-in to grab a quick bite to eat.

It was strange that, after placing my order, I was asked to drive around and come back. I looked behind me and there wasn't a car. However, after doing a lap around the restaurant, there was a car in front of me. It was odd to me. If my order wasn't ready, why not have me park in front of the restaurant and have someone hand me my food?

Anyway, I got my food and parked my car. With my car windows down, I ate.

Moments later, a ladybug landed on my lap. I wish that I had taken a photo, but I didn't have a chance. It stayed on me for five seconds and then left.

They say that ladybugs bring luck to you when they come visit you. I hope that this superstition is true. The bright red visitor made my day.

Show plans and progress

I have spent this weekend doing a bit of work. To make a long story short, I worked a couple of hours on Saturday. It's the perfect time to do this specific work, as no one else has any files open. If they did, I wouldn't be able to do what I needed to do.

I will leave work early on Friday to compensate. It's the perfect plan, for I am going to a show with my former student who is now a friend. She recently got her full driver's licence and is a bit nervous about driving to the venue's lot on her own. So, I will pick her up from work and go together. It makes sense that we park as one and save some money on parking. We'll grab a bite to eat before the show.

On Sunday, I spent the day trying to clean up. I made a dent, but I have plenty more to do. Some progress is better than no progress at all!

Weekends fly by too quickly. The countdown begins to get to the next one.

All you need is love... and math

My guy and I love math. We are nerdy that way.

He sent me this graphing gem today:

It put a smile on my face. He's sweet and thoughtful that way.

Eating my way through Friday and getting soaked in a downpour

I ate my way through Friday. Needless to say, I am pretty full right now!

At work, we have a special lunch at the beginning of each month. Those who have birthdays during that month get lunch paid for by the company. I end up expensing these lunches, although I have trained another writer to help me out.

We went to an East Indian restaurant. The food was good. However, it was strange that we all had to dip into a small, communal salad. It was definitely a different experience.

What I didn't like was that the server showed me an itemized list of what we had ordered on her iPad mini, which was the list of items that I would ultimately expense. However, when she printed out this itemized list, a gratuity was added. I noticed this after I had paid for our meals and included a tip. I ended up double-tipping. Ugh! So much for disclosing this detail...

After work, I decided to take part in a local ribfest. I haven't been for several years. It has changed venues. I got a ribs and chicken combo, with cornbread and baked beans as sides.

Unfortunately, I got caught in a downpour of rain. It was to the point where I had to take shelter in a restaurant. My entire front-facing self was soaked in rain. The backside of me was completely dry!

So, I waited in the lobby of this restaurant (I don't know what the name is, but I must thank the place for housing me and others) for forty minutes. I was going to eat my dinner at home. However, all this waiting made me hungry. It was a first for me to eat food that was not offered in the restaurant in said restaurant's lobby.

The food was delicious. When I noticed that the rain was easing and the sun was starting to break out, I headed out to my car. I was parked a couple of huge blocks away. I had to walk through a flooded part of the parking lot. Oh, joy!

There is never a dull moment in my life, especially when it comes to eating yummy food.

Eager to please on a Friday

Last Friday, my guy was waiting for his ride to a camping site. He wanted to see me before he left. He was in a meeting room by himself.

I walked over there. I couldn't help but caress his perfectly uniform head. I have always found it sexy. He likes that I do.
"I wish that I could pleasure you right now," he said, looking at me lovingly, eager to please.
"I know. You need to hit the road. There will be another time," I replied.
We kissed before we both parted ways. The good news is that I get to see him in the office in just over a week. It's great when we are together at work. We both agree that it makes the workweek tolerable.

Purple Woolly is my guy in disguise

I tell my guy often that the purple, cuddly stuffed sheep that he bought me was a wonderful, thoughtful gift. I hug him often, as he reminds me of my guy.

We had a talk about my stuffed purple sheep, Purple Woolly, recently.
"When I hold Woolly, one hand caresses his head and the other gropes his butt, kind of like what I do with you," I said.
"I'm glad," he said, smiling at me.
My guy thinks that he isn't a great at giving gifts. He is terrific at it.

Staycation and floss

I did a staycation this past long weekend. I went to a city roughly an hour away from my home, stayed at a hotel, and relaxed. It was nice.

My guy sent me a message as I was driving home on Tuesday, hoping that I had a wonderful staycation. It's nice when he thinks of me.

I wrote back once I was home. He would have liked the hotel, especially since he had spent the weekend camping. Costco was within walking distance, which is his favourite store. The movie theatre and one of our favourite Persian eateries were also within walking distance.

A while back, I had ordered dental floss dispensers that remind you to floss. The light flashes and you press a button to dispense your floss. I ordered one for my guy and one for me. They finally came. I shared the good news with my guy. We both are avid flossers, which is funny, but true.

My birthday

My guy spent this long holiday weekend camping. He absolutely dislikes camping, but it was a family event and had to join in.

This year, his family got a camper. I can't wait to hear what happened.

My birthday was on Monday. It was good. Many friends sent me nice thoughts and wished me a great day. I went to see Wonder Woman for free at the movie theatre. I ate my favourite pizza. It was a good day.

My guy has promised me a spanking when he is rested. It makes me happy, especially when he says that he likes when I am his bad girl.

A bracelet for my birthday

My guy gave me an early birthday present on Friday. He tends to steer away from getting me jewellery. However, he took the plunge and got me a nice bracelet.

He knows that I used to have an evil eye bracelet. Several months ago, it broke and I couldn't get it fixed. He got me a sterling silver bracelet (all I wear is sterling silver) with blue beads and a blue evil eye.

The problem was my trying to wear it. It felt like rocket science trying to put it on. He figured it out for me. I then told him that it wouldn't fit me.

I have a large wrist for a woman. It's not an unusual size, though.
"My wrist is 7.5 inches," I said.
"I didn't know that bracelets have wrist sizes," he admitted.
"It's okay. It's the sweet thought that you had that counts," I replied.
It was a romantic, thoughtful gesture. It was a shame that he had left the price tag on the bracelet. Then again, he is returning it, so it all works out.

It takes one photo of me to turn him on

Last Tuesday, my guy and I had lunch together. After I had indicated that I wanted to unwrap him as my birthday gift, I shared some photos with him of my trip to Shanghai.

I had visited Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. There were Yao Ming's footprints there, so I took a photo of my feet over his and showed my guy.
"You're wearing shorts," he said, admiring my bare legs.
"Yes, it was hot there," I replied.
I sometimes forget how turned on he gets by my bare legs. There have been times where, after we have been intimate, he has hugged my legs and has told me that he loves them.

After we had finished lunch, he stood up. I was still seated for a couple of seconds. My eyes were level with his crotch. I saw a bulge. Yep, he was bulgy boy.

We left the restaurant and got into his car. He pulled out of the parking lot.

At the intersection, he hesitated.
"It's a left turn to get back to the office," I said.
He turned right. This turn goes to our usual parking lot for treehouse time.
"We're going to Starbucks!" I exclaimed happily.
"No, that place steals your money," he said.
He parked in our usual parking spot. We got out and headed into the backseat.

It was nice to hug and kiss. He has the sweetest lips. We had both missed making out.

He managed to place his right hand down my pants and underpants. He fingered my butt and said that he missed my backside.

Moments later, I came. I enjoyed it so much that he did it again, kissing my neck and shoulder the second time. I felt so lethargic afterwards.

I caressed his hard cock that was still in his pants. We eventually let it out so that I could give him a handjob. I loved wrapping my hand around it.

He told me that he loves when I am a bad girl that makes him feel good. He ejaculated. There was so much cum that it coated the entire back of my hand. It was almost as if I had dipped my hand in paraffin wax.
"No cum on my seat. It's all on you," he remarked.
"It was perfect timing. You came at the same time as the downpour of rain," I remarked.
We cleaned up and cuddled for a bit before we had to go back to the office and attempt looking alert.

Happy 150th birthday, Canada!

Happy Canada Day! Canada celebrates its 150th birthday today. It looks pretty good. =)

It's a long weekend here. I'm wishing my fellow Canadians a happy, safe long weekend.

Great day with my guy and former student

Thursday was a wonderful day. I had lunch with my guy. I ended up caressing his head for a minute in his car after lunch, in the parking lot. He loves when I do it. I love it, too.
"You need a replica of my head," he pointed out.
"I know. You keep changing your hair, though. First, you grow it. Then, you shave it all off. Now, it's in-between the two lengths. I still need Velcro for your hair on the replica," I explained, caressing his head.
"That's true," he replied, smiling.
"I love your perfect, uniform head," I replied.
"I know. Rub away!"
My guy is sweet.
"You're in the office tomorrow, right?" he asked me.
"Yes, I am. We're doing lunch together tomorrow?" I asked.
"Of course," he said, smiling.
After work, I had dinner with my former co-op student, who is a wonderful friend. She is taking another co-op term at another company. She works and lives in the same city that I work in. We spent a good 3.5 hours catching up and eating at an Indian buffet. Good times!

Multiple visits at work because we miss each other

This post is slightly out of sequence. I was going to talk about part 2 on Tuesday. Instead, this post is about Monday.

I can always tell when my guy misses me. When we are in the office, he visits me multiple times.

In the afternoon, he came by my desk and dropped off a couple of manuals that I needed.
"Ooh, are those manuals?" I asked, happy to see him.
"Yes, they are," he replied, looking happy that I was hugging the manuals with glee.
"Thanks so much!" I said.
"You're welcome," he replied, smiling.
"I was going to say that it's like Christmas in July, except that it's June," I admitted.
"Yes, but it's only for one product instead of two," he confirmed.
"That's okay. I'm still happy," I replied.
"So, it's Christ, without the mass," he joked, which made me laugh.
My department is hiring another writer. I actually had to ask my manager what this person would be doing. At long last, this person would be taking over some of my work.
"You know that we are hiring another writer. You could join my team. The problem is that you'd be working for me," I said to my guy, smirking.
"You're really tough, though," he said, smiling back.
It was a nice pick-me-up moment in the afternoon to see him. We both loved seeing each other.

Just before I left the office for the day, I sent him a text message, wishing him a good night and to drive home safely. He reciprocated.

As I was putting my bag into my car, my guy pulled up in his car. It was great. We chatted for a bit. I reached in his car and caressed his perfectly uniform head. He has started to grow his hair, so it's short and soft to the touch.

I went and gently caressed his left cheek. He liked that so much that he kissed my hand twice.

I thanked him for making my day by letting me drive his car. He was beaming, loving this moment before we both headed home.

Birthday suggestions, including unwrapping my guy

My guy and I had this chat over lunch on Tuesday.
"Thanks for letting me drive your car yesterday," I said. "It was like an early birthday present."
"Speaking of birthday, what gifts would you like?" he asked me once again.
"The usual... I want you. Can we put you in a box? It may be difficult finding a tall one, but we'll make sure that there are holes at the top so you can breathe," I teased.
"How about just putting a bow around my hard member?" he said, smirking.
"We need an elastic for the bow, as your member expands and contracts," I remarked.
"What else would you like?" he asked me.
"I want a spanking," I replied.
"It doesn't have to be on your birthday," he hinted.
"I know. I want one, though. I'd also like to unwrap you," I pointed out.
"I would like that," he replied, smiling.
We had a good lunch. I told my guy that he is great at giving gifts. I did give him a gift suggestion. He liked it and it won't be difficult for him to find the item.

There's part two of our day, which will be covered in an upcoming post. It has been a great couple of days seeing my guy so far this week.

Miracles happen... I drove my guy's car!

For probably a good two years, I have been teasing my guy to let me drive his car. He is like a little boy when it comes to his car. He doesn't want to let anyone drive it. It's his.

I did my usual routine as we walked over to his car on Monday.
"Can I drive your car?" I asked him.
"Sure! I don't see why not," my guy replied.
"Really? You're feeling okay?" I asked him.
"Yes! You're a good driver," he told me.
He let me drive his car. I had to brush the crumbs that he had left from eating breakfast while driving into work. He apologized. He's boyish that way.

I was shocked to drive his car. It handles well. It's like my car, with simulated manual gear shifts, except his car is built like a tank. I also got to check his temperature by touching his forehead. He wasn't running a fever. It was also the perfect time to caress his perfectly uniform head, which I find highly attractive.

We visited our usual Chinese restaurant for lunch. Our usual servers commented that it has been a while since we were there.

While waiting for our orders, I was still stunned.
"I still can't believe that you let me drive your car," I said.
"Maybe it's because I miss you so much that I said yes," he said, smiling at me.
Maybe. He advised that he didn't get a brain transplant, so I will go with his theory.

I suppose that his letting me drive his car is one of my early birthday gifts. I got him a few gifts from my trip to Shanghai:

  • Jasmine tea, which he told me that he loves
  • Chinese currency (Yuan or Renminbi), as we are both currency collectors
  • Dark chocolate, which he loved, including the tin box
It was a happy day for both of us. We both missed each other.

Seeing a hailstorm and my guy

It's officially summer where I am. On Sunday, we got rain. It was unexpected to see a hailstorm!

Ah, got to love how unpredictable the weather is. What is predictable is seeing my guy this week. Yay!

Meeting new employees over lunch and finding out that I am appreciated

While I was away on vacation, we had three new employees joining our team. I am typically the one who trains anyone new who joins our team. For the last couple of waves of new hires, one of my co-op students has been doing it.

It's nice to get some of this work off my plate. It's reduces my workload and stress. My co-op student realized the first time that she did training that it requires a lot of water and admitted that she doesn't know how I can talk so much!

Getting back to the three new employees, I hadn't officially welcomed them to the team. I did it through an e-mail before I left for my vacation. I didn't feel too bad, though. After all, I had interviewed all three of them.

On Friday, I got to sit down and have lunch with them, as well as a few other colleagues. Our team has a weekly lunch on Friday. No one is obligated to go, but I then to go because I like food and don't want to pack a lunch that day. It was great catching up with them over a leisurely meal.

While I was away, my manager took over working with my three students. It's funny, but one of them told me that my manager admitted to them that I do more work than he realized and that he was appreciative. Perhaps I should go on vacation for extended periods and make my manager even more appreciative of what I do!

Turkish delight and tastebuds

A couple of weeks ago, I picked up two boxes of Turkish delight that my guy has bought for me from Istanbul. He left them on my desk at work. I picked them off after having flown in from Shanghai and had to pick up my car at the office. I have grown to love Turkish delight.

Years ago, I tried the Turkish Delight candy bar that you get at the local convenience store. I disliked it. It tasted gross.

The authentic, flavourful version from Istanbul is yummy. My guy and I went into a store and I sampled raspberry Turkish delight. It was so good. I have longed for it ever since. I asked my guy if he could get me some.

My guy apologized that he couldn't find any. I was so sick with bronchitis that my tastebuds were shot. I had a cube of Turkish delight once I got home and imagined that it tasted like raspberries. I could only figure out that there was some acidic flavour in there, but couldn't make out what flavour I was eating.

My tastebuds are back. He got me two boxes of assorted fruit flavours, with rose ones mixed in. The orange, lemon, and strawberry and yummy. I have always enjoyed the rose.

He did well. I am also thankful that I can enjoy tasting what I eat again!

Gifts and appreciation

I like my co-op students. I have three of them for this workterm, which is a record number for me.

On Monday, I met with them and gave them small gifts from my Shanghai travels. I tried to get a couple of items that were made or from China. We joke fairly often that most materialistic items come from this country. However, I truly was looking for items that they would like from China.

I got them each a bag of loose leaf jasmine tea. From China? Check. It's fragrant and helps reduce stress, among other things.

My other gift sounds odd. I found the Hershey's Store in Shanghai. I got milk chocolate in the shape of small balls. They were housed in a beautiful Hello Kitty tin with no English on it. You had a mountain behind Hello Kitty with Chinese characters on the tin. Perfect!

On Thursday, they mentioned how yummy the chocolate was and how much they appreciated the gifts that I had given them. They didn't see it coming, which is the best type of gift that I enjoy dishing out.

Seeing my guy all next week and noticing improvements in my vision

My guy works from home most of the time. He doesn't have a huge need to come into the office, unless he is there for training or has to talk to someone.

He let me know that he is in the office all next week. It's wonderful news, as it means that we will have lunch dates. We both miss them.

The other thing is that he is normally the one who is delivering training. This time around, he is attending a course.

My good news is about my right eye. If you have been reading along for a while, you will know that I had an eye stroke back in late March. On Wednesday, I went back to my ophthalmologist for my third eye injection.

To recap, my first injection containing a pretty powerful drug did a lot of good. A lot of the blood clotting in my central vision dissipated. My second injection continued the trend, although the improvement wasn't as drastic.

I did an eye test on Wednesday. The eye assistant was pleased that I was reading the eye charts well for both eyes.

I then talked to my ophthalmologist, who said that my right eye is "almost perfect." It's great news! After this injection, I will go back in a month to get another assessment. If all goes well, my monthly injections will be staggered over longer periods.

My second injection wasn't too pleasant. We both felt that there wasn't enough numbing done to my eye, so I felt more than I should have. This time around, his assistant put more numbing fluid in my eye and he made sure that there wasn't any stinging happening when he cleaned my eye with iodine. All went well with the needle.

It's definitely encouraging news about my sight. I am glad that I am recovering nicely. My guy never doubted that, which I love him for being so positive and supportive.

Concert and parking lot changes

The other night, I went to see a concert. I had a fabulous time!

I used to work downtown. I have a particular parking lot where I park and walk over to the venue. It has been roughly a couple of years since I have parked at this lot. It has changed! It no longer is dumpy. Luckily, the price is still right.

After the show, I walked back to the building in which the parking lot is located. The security guard and I had a brief conversation. He was pleasant and asked me if I was going to the parking lot. I was and even indicated the level. He was kind to point to the elevator that would take me down. I had used a different elevator that got me on the mezzanine level earlier in the evening. I thanked him and continued on my merry way.

Unfortunately, leaving the parking lot was annoying. The person in front of me could not get his payment method going at the exit area. After patiently waiting for him to get his transaction done for five minutes, I went to a different kiosk, put my ticket in, and left.

I do like the new parking lot. The parking spaces are wide, which prevents idiots from dinging my car if I am parked next to them.

2011 - year of the Cutiebootie

A while back, my guy and I had this conversation.
"We started dating back in 2011," my guy remarked.
"I'm impressed that you remember," I said to him, thoroughly impressed.
"How can I forget? I will always remember it being the year of the Cutiebootie," he said, smiling.
It doesn't seem that long, but it was a magical day in September. He met me at work, fresh from a trip from Portugal. It was the first time that we hugged, kissed, and he spanked me across a desk at work.

I got in a reflective mood. It is a good thing that I blog. It was nice reminiscing by reading a number of posts from early on in our relationship.

I love that the spark is still there and that we have grown as a loving, fun couple.

Coughing fit after seeing poultry blood at the supermarket

It has been an interesting learning experience when it comes to having bronchitis and how my coughing gets worse when I am mildly stressed out.

On Saturday, I felt well enough to go out and get some groceries. I haven't had much to eat for breakfast, other than cereal and English muffins. Then again, my appetite has been shot until now.

The person in front of me at the supermarket checkout had packages of chicken drumsticks. One of the packages had the plastic wrap torn wide open. I was watching the man try and put it back together. He then had chicken blood and juices on his hand, which he decided to wipe on his jeans.

I used to work in food services. It's not the proper way to handle food. I sensed a ton of food contamination happening, among other things. Considering that I am recovering from being sick, I am sensitive to spreading germs.

I spotted chicken blood that his package had started by the product scanner. Sure enough, the cashier scanned my mixed bean salad across the blood and the scanner. I had to point out that she needed to wipe the blood off her scanning area as well as my bean salad container.

She was good with my request. I was so grossed out, but thanked her. I paid for my goodies, put them in my bag, and headed over to my car.

By the time I had loaded everything in my car, including me, my coughing fit had started. A minute later, I was okay.

I am typically not that squeamish when it comes to seeing poultry blood. However, I am not my normal self, so it was an observation that I found intriguing when I am sick.

Why can't medical folks communicate well?

My biggest beef this year seeing various medical folks is that they don't communicate with one another. As someone who needs to communicate with people often, it drives me crazy.

The other day, when I went in to see my doctor for my regular quarterly checkup, as well as for my bronchitis. She asked a ton of questions about my eye stroke. I couldn't answer any of them. I asked if she got the report from my ophthalmologist. She didn't. I know that I gave him my family doctor's name and address.

She asked for the phone number of my ophthalmologist's office. Luckily, I had that on my phone. So, I showed her the number on my cell phone. She called her receptionist and asked to get my report from that office.
"Do you mind waiting for the report?" she asked me.
"Frankly, I want to go home and sleep," I admitted. "I don't know how long it will take."
"You have a good point."
I had already waited for 40 minutes in the waiting room to see my doctor. Why do I need to do it for an unspecified period when I am obviously not feeling well with all that coughing and sniffling?

My doctor is understanding. She said that she would follow up with me once the report comes to her. I just wish that medical folks made my life easier, rather than causing more havoc that I do not need to be subjected to.

Sick day, windshield replacement, sleep, and a one-word meme

I decided to take a sick day on Thursday. It worked out fairly well.

I got a solid block of sleep overnight. However, I wanted more. It wasn't going to happen, as it was garbage day. All I heard were doors opening and closing on my street, garbage and recycling trucks stopping and going, and kids screaming as they made their way to school. Ugh!

On a good note, the windshield to replace my car's cracked one was in stock. I drove my car over to the glass shop and got a courtesy shuttle back home. Three hours later, it was done. So, said shuttle came back to fetch me and my car looks new again. I'm thrilled!

I slept from 15:30 till 18:45. It did a world of wonder! I feel less grumpy and more rested. More importantly, I don't seem to be coughing as much. Perhaps my bronchitis is slowly dissipating.

The other day, I saw a one-word meme on Fondles' blog. So, here goes:
  1. Where is your phone? Lap
  2. Your hair? Medium
  3. Your dad? Sleeping
  4. Your other half? Sleeping
  5. Your favourite food? Tiramisu
  6. Your dream last night? Jumping
  7. Your favourite drink? Mojito
  8. Fear? Heights
  9. Favourite? Vacation
  10. Favourite way to relax? Sleep
  11. Your mood? Tired
  12. I love? Relaxing
  13. Where were you last night? Home
  14. Something that you aren't?  Petite
  15. Muffins? Sometimes
  16. Wish list item? Money
  17. Where you grew up? Toronto
  18. Last thing you did?  Showered
  19. What are you wearing right now? Pyjamas
  20. Something you hate? Tardiness
  21. Your pets? Fish
  22. Friends? Grateful
  23. Life? Rollercoaster
  24. Regrets? Some
  25. Missing someone? Boyfriend
It's tough to narrow a description down to a single word. Give it a try if you feel like it!

First day back at work and a sticky note message for my guy

I made it through working from home. Barely. Towards the end of my workday, I actually had to take it easy. I felt tired. Coughing up mucus will do that to a girl.

On a good note, I did get a few e-mails welcoming me back. That was nice. I have thoughtful colleagues.

Tomorrow, which is really today now, I will take a sick day. I need to rest and recover. We'll see how that goes.

I wrote my guy a brief e-mail. It's better than coughing up a storm and sounding like a guy over the phone. He's doing well. He can't wait to see me, but he wants me to get better soon with a ton of rest.

Before I left for Shanghai, I parked my car at work, walked over to his, and placed a sticky note on his driver-side window. It said, "Welcome home, CB!" He told me that he loved that. We were about four hours apart that day between his arriving and my leaving the city.

Anyway, I signed my e-mail with good girl. I like doing that, because it makes him tell me that I'm bad. It's fun.

Bronchitis

On Tuesday, I went to see my doctor. It was my regular quarterly appointment. I was also coughing, so I had to get this issue taken care of, too.

I spent nearly two hours at the doctor's office. While waiting there, I called my car insurance to make a claim on my windshield damage caused by a stone. Fun! There is far more to this story, so I will save it for another post.

Anyway, when I finally saw my doctor, she determined that I have bronchitis. I am now on an antibiotic and am using an inhaler to clear up my airways. I sometimes find that I can't breathe as well as I should. So, it's my first experience using a puffer.

Ah, the joys of coming home from a vacation sick.

I slept for most of the day when I got home. There were a number of annoying phone calls that I had to take from my windshield guy, the insurance woman, and more.

I technically go back to work on Wednesday, but will be working from home. I will likely be taking a sick day, depending on how I feel. Perhaps I will extend my sick absence, so I can rest properly.

Back home -- sick, tired, and happy

On Sunday night, I returned safely home from my vacation. The flight was rather long. It wasn't the smoothest trip.

I didn't realize that you can't pack nail polish in your checked-in luggage in Shanghai. Sadly, I had to surrender three bottles of Formula X polish that I had brought with me. I just found out that this entire line of nail polish is being discontinued at Sephora. It's a bummer, for this polish works well for me. It stays on for a long period and I love the colours.

I also had a can of dry shampoo. Apparently, it is okay to pack that in your luggage. I also had a bottle of water with me. You can bring that through security. I don't get it, but what do I know?

For the first time, I left my passport at security after my carry-on belongings and I went through the scanners. I normally hold my passport in my hand, but the guy tossed it with my laptop. So, I didn't fetch it until five minutes later when I realized that I didn't have it with me.

I didn't sleep much on my fourteen-hour flight back. The three folks in front of me were constantly yakking for the first four hours. The guy in the same row, separated by the aisle, had his reading light on the entire time. I also flew back with a cold and an annoying, mucus-abundant cough, so that wasn't fun either.

And, yes, my flight was delayed by forty minutes. Customs in Toronto took forever. I managed to select one that was interrogating every little thing with folks who could not speak English and needed an interpreter. Wonderful!

When she got to me, my interaction with her took a minute. I didn't mind the wait, as I was sweating so much from dashing here and there that I needed to cool off.

I do like the express walkway. That helped a ton.

I took a limo taxi to my office. My car was still there after over two weeks.

When I was driving to my workplace to ultimately catch a taxi to the airport back then, a stone hit my windshield and chipped it. By the time I had arrived at my workplace, it was a good four-inch crack. On Sunday, it was much larger. It was a swirl. Sadly, I will need to get the entire windshield replaced. Ugh!

There is a silver lining, though. I went into the office after the taxi had driven to my car and had offloaded my luggage. On my desk, my guy had left two boxes of Turkish delight, which made everything better.

Wooden shoehorn and brush

My hotel room is fancy. It has a nice shoe-shining kit.

I looked at the shoehorn and thought that it would make a nice spanking implement. I love the wood and the feel of it in my hand. I feel the same thing about the brush.

It's too bad that I can't take these items back as souvenirs.

Birthday gift? You and a spanking!

My guy tends to ask me what I want when he wants to give me a gift. He's sweet. I don't need anything, but he insists.

My birthday is less than a month away. I am impressed that my guy is planning ahead.
"What would you like for your birthday?" he asked me.
"The usual... I want you," I stated.
"You always have me. What else?" he asked again.
"A hard spanking," I admitted.
"I can do that. I love spanking you, especially on your birthday," he confessed.
He has still asked me what he can get for me. I'm good with just his love and a good spanking.

If my guy and I were babies...

I saw this photo on Facebook. Sadly, I don't know who to credit.

If my guy and I were babies, I am pretty sure this incident would happen:

I love his uniform head. I wouldn't hesitate to touch it, even as a baby.

Butt and heart tattoo

I found this photo on Instagram. It's actually a tattoo that I dig.

A post shared by Heart Magazine (@heartmagazine) on
It's cute. I love it. My guy does, too. He tells me often that he loves my butt, especially spanking and groping it.

Kissing and vacationing

My guy misses me. The feeling is mutual.
"I miss kissing you," he admitted the other day.
"I miss kissing you, too. It's always enjoyable," I indicated.
"It sure is," he agreed.
My vacation in Shanghai is more than halfway over. It's hot and humid here, although there have been breaks here and there. I tend to duck into air-conditioned places when it gets unbearable for me.

I feel relaxed. All is great.

Marriage reflections

June 5 was my wedding day ages ago. It's pretty scary to think that if our marriage had worked and if he were still alive, we would have celebrated our 22nd anniversary.

I don't feel that old. Then again, I did get married at such a young age.

I like where I am at these days. I am content being in a solid, loving relationship with my guy. We don't need an official piece of paper stating that fact.

In a way, I am relieved that I am not married. As of late, several friends who got married are now divorced. Perhaps it is easier to not be committed legally and to love unconditionally instead.

Then again, I don't know what the right answer is. It's best to do what is right for you.

Going with an airport shuttle instead of a taxi

I decided to go with a airport shuttle service for next Sunday. I see this shuttle bus every day in front of my hotel.

My experience dealing with two different taxi companies when I got to Shanghai was not enjoyable. It was way too stressful than I had anticipated.

After doing a bit of research and using a different Web browser (it works fine in Firefox, but not Chrome), I completed booking my ticket online. Here's hoping that it comes to fetch me on time!

Offloading items and being sweet

My guy and I had this conversation before I started my vacation:
"Do you have any extra training manuals that I can take off you? I need the beginner-level ones," I asked.
"Sure. I like when you take them off me. I like offloading things, as you put it," he teased.
"You know that I like when you give me stuff. I still have the sleeping mask that you gave me. I remember wearing it and you kissed me," I said, fondly.
"Yes, I always love kissing you, with or without the blindfold," he remarked.
As usual, he's sweet.

Birkenstock sandals and blisters

I have a love-hate relationship with Birkenstock sandals. They support your feet nicely and are comfortable once you break them in. The problem? The entire breaking-in process.

Every year, I need to break them in. I had thought that a couple of days of wearing them would be enough. Nope.

I wore them on my first full day in Shanghai. By the time it was late afternoon and I was sitting on the tour bus heading back to the main stop closest to my hotel, I touched my left heel and noticed blood. Not only did I develop a blister, but it had burst. Both blood and fluid was at the bottom of my heel. Luckily, I carry tissue, so I wiped up and tried to stop the mess from oozing out.

I do come prepared. I came back to my hotel room, cleaned up my heel area, and found my stash of bandages. It has been three days and the area has nearly dried up.

If you do experience a blister on your foot that bursts, do not try and get rid of the flap of skin. It's better to have it there to protect the area from any infection. Just wait for the area to dry on its own. I tend to have a bandage on it when I am out. When I am back at home or the hotel, I let the area breathe without wearing any shoes or socks on.

Being on vacation is never dull!

Trials and tribulations travelling

Hello from Shanghai! All is well. It's hot, hazy, and humid. I am enjoying being away from work and being a tourist.

My VPN access works well. You can tell because I have managed to write this blog post!

My first day of travelling started off rough:

  • While driving to my workplace, my car's windshield got a stone ship. By the time I had parked at work, I had a three-inch crack on my windshield. I am hoping that my windshield hasn't shattered by the time I fetch my car.
  • I called a taxi number on my cellphone that I typically don't use. Luckily, the nice driver got to me in ten minutes.
  • My 14-hour flight was good, except for the woman next to me who kept flip-flopping everywhere. She slept on my shoulder. She sprawled across her husband's tray table. She curled up in both her husband's and her own seat, bumping her head against my thigh. Thankfully, for the last two hours of the flight, her husband changed seats with her. I was able to sleep for longer than twenty minutes.
  • I got to Shanghai and got a taxi driver who dropped me off at the wrong hotel. He was yelling at one point. I don't understand Mandarin.
  • I asked the woman working at this hotel whether it was the hotel name that I needed. I was still in the taxi. She said yes. I checked in and realized that she just nodded without understanding a thing. After talking to her manager, he got me a courtesy taxi ride to my hotel.
  • The taxi driver seemed to be on the ball, However, he also had some trouble finding the hotel, too. To put it into perspective, my flight touched down at 15:00. I got to my hotel at 18:35.
The good news is that the staff at my hotel have been exceptionally accommodating. The check-in process was smooth. I had ordered a cell phone plan for Shanghai. My SIM package was ready for me when I checked in. My luggage was set upstairs. I get lounge access, so breakfast and dinner are free, along with any beverage under the sun.

Both the bad and good balance out. All is great. I will write more when I am not exhausted from being out and about. Hope you are all doing well!

My vacation has started... bon voyage!

I am finally done packing. I leave in roughly twelve hours. I am officially on vacation and it feels great.

I have the sweetest co-op students. Two of them came by my desk before they called it a day on Friday to wish me a nice vacation. The third one, who sits a couple of desks down, also did the same.

My guy travels home today. He chatted with me fairly late his time on Friday. It was nice to hear from him as I was buying Chinese yuan currency for my trip.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Sending a suggestive photo to make each other happy

My guy and I miss each other. The unfortunate part about our travels on Saturday is that we will miss each other by a few hours. My flight leaves at around 13:00. He arrives in the late afternoon.
"I can leave you some raspberry Turkish delight on your desk at work," he said, being his sweet self.
"That would be great. Thanks! Do you know where my desk is?" I asked him.
"No, just where your locker is," he replied.
I like that my guy listens carefully when I give him step-by-step directions to get somewhere. He's thoughtful, which is one of his many strengths.

He was also horny on Wednesday afternoon, as was I.
"My nail polish matches purple Woolly," I noted, with Woolly being his plush sheep that he gave me.
"I love when you have that nail polish on. It turns me on. I don't know why," he admitted.
"I can take a photo of my polish," I suggested.
"I would like that. It would also be nice if you could send me a suggestive phone of your gorgeous hands," he replied.
I don't normally send such photos to him, but decided to provide one of my supporting my left breast in my hand, with my hard nipple clearly appearing. He loved it.

We then went into phone sex. It's fun imagining what we'd like to do to each other.

We both came. It was good. We both needed it.

My guy's version of VPN is much better

I have been packing here and there each day. I am starting to see the finish line. There are a few items that I need to fetch from the drug store before I head off to Shanghai.

Yesterday afternoon, my guy and I were chatting about various topics. One of them was my getting access to a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
"I got VPN access, so I'm ready to try it out," I advised.
"What does VPN stand for? Very Pornographic and Naughty?" he asked.
"I want to be in your VPN," I replied.
"You are," he replied.
He's fun.

Opposites attract to a certain degree - expenses and timesheets

My guy and I get along because we are similar. There are a few exceptions, though. One of them is doing expense reports.

I am diligent when it comes to completing expense reports. I just want to get them over with, get my money back, and move on.

Then, there's my guy.

Yesterday, he told me that he has four trips to expense. He spent some of his evening completing two of them.
"I hate doing expenses. I have to find all my receipts and enter them all," he complained.
"I don't mind helping you, provided that your money gets deposited directly into my bank account," I stipulated.
He chuckled. We are complete opposites when it comes to expenses.

Similarly, when it comes to logging our time in our corporate timesheet application, I do mine every Monday and I don't have to think about it for the rest of the workweek. My guy forgets about doing his timesheet all the time, often getting warnings that he needs to do it after a month has elapsed.

He's sweet. I love who he is.

Cheap, cheap, cheap!

Sometime last month, after my guy and I had some quality time in our treehouse, we heard birds chirping nearby. We were both in a happy, lethargic state, which led to this conversation.
"The birds are calling your name. They are saying, 'Cheap, cheap, cheap!'," I noted.
"I'm Cheap Bastard," my guy said affectionately.
On Sunday morning, just after 03:00, I woke up to what seemed to be chatter. I then realized that there were birds chirping in the nest in front of my bedroom.

I told my guy about the birds.
"I don't get why the birds are chirping at that time of day. It's not like they have a sale to go to and are letting you know that deals are cheap, cheap, cheap," I said.
"Are you telling me that I'm cheap?" he asked, with a teasing tone to his voice.
"I call you Cheap Bastard, but you know that you aren't cheap. You like good deals and saving money. You're frugal," I replied.
"I know. I can't find birds that chirp frugal, frugal, frugal," he replied, which made me laugh.
"Well, if you got a parrot, you could teach your pet to say that," I pointed out, which made him chuckle.
We chatted for an hour on Monday afternoon, which was Victoria Day in Canada. It's always nice to chat with him while he is abroad.

Cars, packing, plan changes, and travel

I wrote to my guy the other day, indicating that his car is safe in the parking lot at work. I sent him a photo of my car parked next to his. He liked that a lot.

On Sunday, we chatted on Skype before he had to turn in for the night.
"Your car keeps telling me that I need to drive it," I told him.
"It did? Right now, you can do whatever you want," he replied.
"You miss me, don't you?" I noted.
"I do. I miss sweet and sexy you."
He's sweet, as always. I miss him, too. He is in Istanbul, safe and sound.

Things have changed. We were supposed to meet when he returns home this Friday. However, he has been asked to return to Cairo after his trip to Istanbul this week. So, we won't see each other until I am home from Shanghai next month. It seems like an eternity.

On a good note, we will be chatting more regularly this week. So, all is not lost.

My packing is going okay. I am slowly chipping away at my list of important items to bring along. Thank goodness for this long weekend! I always feel like I am missing something, even if I have prepared a list. My list continues to grow.

It's a long weekend!

I need a long weekend. I am glad that it is here.

Work continues to stress me out. I look forward to this longer weekend. It gives me a chance to gather my thoughts, sleep in, and figure out what to pack for my trip

Off to bed. I'm exhausted!

A compliment on my nail colour goes a long way

As crazy as work is these days, I find that the new folks that I have welcomed and trained recently bring a smile to my face when I least expect it.

I was in our regular team meeting on Thursday. I don't normally bring my laptop into these meetings because I don't like being distracted. However, I had another meeting after this one that required my pulling up information that I had prepared on my laptop.

My manager posed a question to me that he should have known the answer to. He had booked the meeting, for heaven's sake! So, I answered it and continued to listen to him.

A new writer (NW), whom I interviewed and helped train with one of my co-op students a few weeks ago, shot me an instant message. As of late, our corporate instant messaging systems causes me stress when folks pick my brains.

I enjoyed this brief exchange:
NW: Hi, Cutiebootie. I love your nail colour!
Me: Thanks, NW! I thought that I needed a bright colour to liven up our workplace. =)
NW: I agree
All it takes is a small compliment to make someone's day. I have a cheerful berry colour polish on my nails. She made this meeting far more bearable!

Being contacted by my manager while on vacation... really?

My manager is in worry mode, as my guy had predicted.

I received a long e-mail message from my boss, asking me to prepare a list of who, out of my three students, will be handling a number of tasks while I am away.

I dislike when my manager gets in this mode. He only asks this task from me. It does not happen to anyone else on the team.

The kicker is this last request:
In case of emergency, how to contact you with a minimum (not maximum) 24-hour response time.
What? I am on vacation. There is a reason why I am on vacation. I am not doing work.

I don't think that the mandatory course that we all took about work-life balance has properly register in his head. As someone who has worked from home for years, I am pretty good at distinguishing between doing work and then stopping to focus on my life.

How would you handle such a request? I am inclined to say that I am on vacation. I need to de-stress and recharge. Being contacted by my manager on vacation is not ideal. I should not be checking work e-mail or picking up work calls.

Last September, I took a Friday off as a vacation day. A contractor had quit after three days. My manager sent me two e-mails about this contractor's departure and then left me a voice message on my home phone. To me, this situation is not an emergency that warrants contacting me at home. I foresee a repeat, but amplified in a negative way.

Noticing details about data plans, travel, and jet lag

I feel like I have been living in some secluded area for ages. I have noticed details that I have never really paid close attention to.

Let's take my Internet plan at home. For years, I was on a monthly plan that gave me 300 GB of data. The nice, crazy part of this story is that my Internet service provider dropped the price that I was paying each month. I recently noticed on my bill that it also gave me unlimited data and I have been paying the same price. Where have I been?

It comes in handy. I stream a lot of programs these days. I cut my cable cord well over a year ago. Netflix and a bunch of programming on my Roku have filled in the void nicely.

These days, I am in travel-planning mode. I am bringing two suitcases with me to Shanghai, simply because I can without paying extra. I have three sets of travel adapters. I actually appreciate the fact that I am that prepared.

Naturally, my guy is so used to travel that it's second nature to him. The only exception is jet lag. He is horrible at flipping over.

The last and only time that I was in Asia was Hong Kong. It took me a couple of days to flip over. We'll see how I do this time around. Here's to melatonin to help make the transition easier!

My vacation is fast approaching and folks are worried about my being away

I go on vacation at the end of the month. I can see some concern among my colleagues, particularly my co-op students and my manager.

A few weeks ago, when I said that I was going to get my tourist visa from the consulate office, my manager paid attention. Since then, he constantly has the fact drilled in his head that I am on vacation for 2.5 weeks.

He is a worry wart. I gave notice of my vacation time five months ago. Yes, I am that prepared.

My guy says that my manager has every right to be worried. Without me, things will sink. My guy is sweet, but he does have a point. I am the longest serving writer on the team. I am knowledgeable. I am reliable and am good at what I do.

On Monday, one of my co-op students asked me when I go on vacation. I am easing her into some of my meetings. She is a bit concerned, but I tend to ease her mind. Same goes with the new co-op students. I guide them with whatever tasks that I give them. I do feel bad that I will be leaving them after a month since they first joined us, but they do understand that I am busy and deserve time off.

I am not sure whether I will be able to blog while in Shanghai. I do have a VPN, so that would be one method to try. I don't feel like writing a ton of posts before I leave. I like more spontaneous posts.

Teasing my guy about driving his car continues

My guy and I enjoy teasing each other. I tend to tease him about his beloved car. When I drove him to the airport, we had this conversation.
"I can't wait to drive your car," I said to him.
"Keep dreaming," he said to me, holding my hand.
"No, you said that I can drive it. You can't renege on your promise," I pointed out.
He stayed quiet. He knew that he had said yes. Then again, he does know that I am not dying to drive it. I simply like knowing that he said yes.

He continued to hold my hand and squeeze it lovingly.

The sheriff hat for my guy's cock has arrived

A few months ago, I had mentioned in a blog post that Cocktopz had followed me on my Instagram account. It sells fun hats for your favourite hard member.

I decided to get the Sheriff hat and it finally arrived. I hope that it fits my guy's head. I like the packaging.

The hat looks exactly like the tag! I just need to have my guy try it on for size.

Parking next to my guy's car is comforting

I miss my guy.

On Friday, I went out for lunch with my colleagues. It was at an all-you-can-eat sushi place. Both my guy and I typically avoid such restaurants, for we don't enjoy overeating and wanting to nap for the rest of the day. However, I was pretty good about not going into a sushi coma. The variety was nice.

After we had finished eating at the restaurant, I drove three of my other colleagues back to the office. I got a free spot in the parking lot, which was next to my guy's car.

Even though he has been away for a week, I feel comforted parking my car next to his. It's good.

Last week, when I drove over to the restaurant to meet my guy for dinner, I couldn't find his car. I drive a blue car, so it's easy to spot. In contrast, he drives a white car, which is pretty common.

I tried calling him, but his cell phone was dead and needed charging. He is horrible at charging it, but has always remembered my trick of putting it in airplane mode to charge it faster on the plane.

He walked over to me, as he spotted me when I first drove into the restaurant's lot. We walked over a part of the parking lot with gravel. He instinctually grabbed my hand and wanted to make sure that I was okay.

I miss his natural sweetness of just being himself.

On a good note, I have my purple woolly stuffed plush that reminds me of him. I would miss him a lot more if I didn't have purple woolly to cuddle.

One week down. Two more to go before I see him again.

Dealing with incompetent insurance and drug representatives

I dread talking to both my insurance company and the drug company program these days. It seems that every time I have an upcoming appointment, I get annoying calls from them. I then get all worked up dealing with their stupidity.

Today, just before a meeting at work, my cell phone rang. It was from my insurance company. I let it go to voice mail. I then let it sit there for over three hours before I decided to listen to it.

It was from my assigned case manager at my insurance company. She was the one who gave me the option to either have my insurance company dispense the drug for my eye injection or go with my ophthalmologist's pharmacy. I elected to go with the latter when I was asked a couple of weeks ago. Instead, both my insurance and this drug program went with the former. Um, so why call me to ask what I want and then not respect what I want?

The case manager asked me to call her. She had more questions for me. Again, I wasn't thrilled.

I was driving over to Starbucks. It is frappuccino happy hour and I managed to get my order in before the 18:00 cutoff time. I decided to call this case manager.

She seemed friendly. She didn't annoy me as much as the first time I had spoken to her, simply because I asked her the question that has been on my mind for a while. Why wasn't my decision to go with my ophthalmologist's pharmacy honoured?

She advised that she had told this drug program what I wanted. For some reason, it assumes that everyone wants to go with the insurance company's pharmacy. I flat out said that I get stressed out dealing with all these people who cannot communicate with one another. I told her that these calls get me all worked up, which is contrary to what I need to do. She understood and apologized, saying that she would fix everything.

Finally, I asked her whether I was going to continue talking to these various insurance and drug program folks every time I go to my next appointment. She confirmed that I would not.

I find that when you have too many parties involved in such a situation and they aren't as bright as you'd expect them to be, no one communicates effectively. The patient suffers the most.

I do hope that I don't hear back from any of them anymore. For the first time, I actually felt good after speaking to one of these folks. Let's hope that it was my last.

Fifty Shades Darker uncut version - the verdict

If you have been reading my blog for the last year or so, you know that I got hooked on the Fifty Shades of Grey movie in April of 2016. I love Fifty Shades Darker more.

I have no desire to read the trilogy. I have commented in the past that those who have read the books have noted that the grammar isn't the best. I would rather not bother getting annoyed.

So, I watched the uncut version of Fifty Shades Darker. It is roughly an extra eleven minutes longer that the official movie release.

My comments may spoil it for you if you haven't seen the uncut version. If you haven't, read this post later!

On the whole, I liked the majority of uncut scenes. There were some scenes that I didn't think added that much value to the movie, so I can understand why they were cut out:
  • The phone conversations between Ana and her mom (they were sweet, though). I learned that Christian called Ana's dad and asked him for his blessing to marry Ana.
  • The alleyway kiss between Ana and Christian when they were trying to get back together.
The one scene that I am still on the fence is the billiards scene between Ana and Christian. It was hot how competitive they were and how close they were from each other. Ana lost the match, but she hinted that she wanted to be spanked. Instead, he bend her over the table and they had anal sex. It was hot, but I really wanted a few smacks across her backside first. I suppose that it was okay that the scene wasn't included in the original movie release because I wanted more than just a quickie.

The following scenes should have been included in the original movie:
  • The longer version of Charlie Tango, Christian's helicopter, going down. I like the imagery, the banter between Christian and Ross, and how he tried to safely land his helicopter. It was much more exciting than the final version.
  • Christian coming back home after his crash, and being with his family and friends. It was nice to see them all de-stressing at the dining room table, drinking beer, with Christian describing how he was trying to avoid the trees. Ana held his arm as he talked. You also saw Jose and Christian chat, with Jose being okay with accepting Christian as Ana's boyfriend, which you don't fully see in the official movie.
  • Christian's speech on his birthday was better in the uncut version. He thanked his parents for putting up with him, which was sweet.
  • The red room scene after they have sex. The image of both of them naked, with Christian embracing Ana while they are both seated on the bed was sweet and endearing. Ana says that she loves him. Christian reciprocates, which you don't hear him declare his love for her much in dialogue.
  • The text exchange that started with Christian asking whether Ana had a job after her boss had resigned. It was short that it didn't need to be cut out. It also saw a compassionate side of Christian.
I am sure that I have more thoughts, but those are the ones that stood out.

I got my copy from Best Buy, which doesn't come with any bells and whistles. I have heard that the DVD version from Walmart has a picture book. I will need to swing by the store and see if that's true.

Naturally, the DVD versions in the States are more elaborate. I don't think that I will be over the border anytime soon, unfortunately.

I am so happy with my uncut version. I will be watching it on repeat for a while.

Working from home and being less stress, especially watching Fifty Shades Darker

I worked from home on Tuesday. I do it again today, which is my regular day working from home.

I enjoy working from home. It's not for everyone. For me, I am more focused and I don't have as many interruptions compared to being in the office.

I have always known that I am far more productive when I work from home. Tuesday was no exception, especially when I started my day at 06:45.

Tuesday consisted of my being on two conference calls. The second was my usual half-hour meeting with my manager.

He asked me how I was doing. Naturally, I am busy. However, my stress levels have subsided. These days, I wind up entering a zen, peaceful mode when I am focused on my tasks at home.

I also feel that a few changes have made me manage my stress better:

  • Going into do-no-disturb mode on my work instant messaging app
  • Blending a green drink every day and drinking it
  • Eating out less
  • Removing myself from annoying e-mail messages that get me worked up
  • Not dealing with my insurance company's "courtesy" calls, as they irritate me
  • Sleeping more
  • Delegating my work rather than having the need to do it all myself
Here's hoping that my stress levels continue to subside.

The best part about Tuesday? When I was done with work, I headed out to get my DVD copy of Fifty Shades Darker. Needless to say, my stress levels are definitely reduced!

Fifty Shades Darker - the day is here to buy the unrated DVD!

I am working from home today, which is now Tuesday. I have a conference call at 07:00. It just screams fun, especially when it lasts for four hours.

I shouldn't complain. It's nice to be in my pyjamas while doing work. It's not a video conference, thankfully!

Today is a big day for me. After I am done with work, I am heading out to get my copy of Fifty Shades Darker. Yes, I am snatching my physical DVD copy that is unrated.

I can't wait!

Dinner date before flying off

Whenever my guy and I are at the office, we often go out for lunch together. We haven't done that since late November.

For some reason, the demand for classes held at our workplace has subsided substantially. He hasn't been travelling all that much, either. I can't complain, for I have been lucky to see him more than I used to when he was constantly on the road.

I do miss having lunch with him, though.

Dinner with him on Saturday felt like our lunch dates. We revisited the same restaurant close to our workplace. The place has revamped their menus, which was the only change.

Despite the restaurant being pretty packed for a Saturday night, we managed to get seated quickly and got out of there in an hour.

I went with my regular dish, which is the spicy garlic chicken. I scoured the new menu for something with ginger in it, for my guy loves ginger. I found ginger beef, which he automatically ordered.

We were both happy to have our favourite dishes. It was also nice to catch up. My guy looked tired from the stress of doing a last-minute task that was unexpected before heading to meet me. However, he was happy hearing me talk. I suppose that it gave him some time to unwind.

After dinner, we walked holding hands to our cars. Naturally, I led the way to the office. First, I have a lead foot when I drive. Second, it allows my guy to follow me without getting lost.

We parked at work. My guy got his luggage and such out of his car and into mine. We then got into my car, with my offering to car-sit his car for three weeks. Naturally, my guy held onto his keys rather tightly.

I caressed his head, which had stubble that was soft to the touch. We then held hands as I drove us over to the terminal.

I parked. He gave me his usual just-stand-there-and-don't-lift-anything-because-I-don't-want-you-to-hurt-your-back look as he unloaded my car's trunk and placed each item on a cart.

We hugged. It felt like a minute being in each other's arms. He smelled good. I felt good. I could tell that he did, too.
"Send me a quick note that you have arrived safely," I said to him.
"Will do," he replied, blowing me a kiss as he headed into the terminal.
He's gone for three weeks. It's a good thing that we have Skype.

Being late and asking for directions to the restaurant

My guy relies on a GPS, either the unit in his car or his GPS app, to get to where he needs to be. Saturday night was no exception.

He originally thought that his flight was at 17:00. Instead, he texted me, indicating that it was at 22:30. He asked if we could do dinner before my driving him to the airport. I was good with that suggestion.

He left his place and called me.
"Are you running late?" I asked him.
"Yes, a bit. I'm late guy," he explained.
"I'm nearby. I'm punctual girl," I replied, which made him chuckle in agreement.
We are opposites when it comes to directions and punctuality, which may be one reason why our relationship works. We accept each other for who we are.

We chatted as he drove over. He was only eight minutes late, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. He had an unexpected change to make, so he ended up forgetting to bring a few items, like his pyjamas and dual-SIM phone. Still, they weren't crucial items. He can always buy the former and he still has his regular cell phone that is unlocked.

My guy asked an interesting question as he drove along.
"Which exit do I take to get to the restaurant?" he asked me.
"You'd use the same exit as you would to get to work. It's the Druxy exit," I replied.
"What do I do next?" he asked me.
"When you exit off the ramp, it's Druxy. At the lights, turn left. On Druxy, you need the far left lane. Find the street on which our workplace is and turn left. At the next set of lights, turn right. Then, you should see the restaurant on your right."
He is good at listening to me. He got to the restaurant. I arrived a bit after he did.

We have never had dinner at our usual Chinese place on a Saturday night. It was busy. However, we were promptly seated and we finished dinner in an hour, just in time to drive him to the airport.

While we were eating, we chatted. He never feels uncomfortable telling me about his challenges with directions.
"I never exit off Druxy," he admitted. "I normally take the exit after that. Your method is much faster."
"Oh, I didn't know that," I replied.
I then remembered using my GPS to get to work from southwestern Ontario. It gave me the same directions as what my guy got. Everything made sense to me.
"For some reason, GPSs tend to tell you to go to the next exit and wind your way back to the office. It's not the most efficient route, but it still gets you there. Yes, use Druxy instead. See, you learned something today," I remarked.
"I always learn something from you," he said with a smile on his face. "I'm both directionally and technologically challenged."
"You're sweet that way. It's who you are," I replied.
He continued smiling at me.

My vision is getting better

I am glad that the weekend is here. I am beat.

On Friday, I had my ophthalmologist appointment. I have good news.

A month ago, I went to my first ophthalmologist appointment. One of the tests consisted of wearing my glasses, covering my left eye, and trying to read the eye chart with my right eye. My right eye is the one that has blood blocking my central vision. I could only read the largest font presented to me. Everything else was blurry.

A week ago, I went out for a drink and appetizers with my manager after work. I recall looking at the TV over his head. Everything looked clearer. I covered my left eye and remarked that it did.

Switching back to my appointment on Friday, I read the eye chart with only my right eye. I was able to read up to the sixth row before things looked fuzzy.

My eye is getting better. My ophthalmologist is pleased. I got my second eye injection.

My third one will be a bit later than what we had wanted, simply because I am going on vacation and so is he. He says that it's okay to get my next injection in over a month. Getting the injection before I leave may be risky.

For nearly a month, I have been venting about my insurance company and my experience dealing with various folks there. Today, I got confirmation from the receptionist at the eye office that she, too, dislikes dealing with my insurance company. We both ended up venting. We both felt good that we were on the same page.

We both agree that it is best to go with my ophthalmologist's pharmacy to get the drug that I need injected in my eye. However, my insurance company insists on using its own, regardless of what I want when I was asked. My say meant nothing, so why did my insurance company pose the question to me? We both find that the process makes you do way too much work and gets you frustrated.

It was nice that it wasn't just me feeling this way. The reception has to fill out multiple forms every time I need an injection.

I am thankful that my vision is improving. Despite getting incredibly stressed out dealing with my insurance company, this stress hasn't stopped my vision from getting better. Let's hope that this progress continues.

New hires, training, and my eye

It has been a busy workweek, which isn't surprising considering how crazy my workload can get. However, there are quite a number of exciting changes.

First, my longest-serving student is training two new students and a new technical writer this week. It is odd that I am not fully doing the training. My student doesn't know all her stuff, so I need to fill in the knowledge gaps. As a result, I still need to be a part of the training sessions.

I always find meeting new hires to be exciting. I get to know them and understand how they learn. We haven't scared them, which is great. They are also good at asking questions. So far, so good.

My manager has odd expectations that my student will train and I will provide support, meaning that I don't have to do much. However, we both know that his assumption is false. He is pretty worried that I will be away for more than two weeks. It is new territory for both of us.

My guy and I talked the other day about my being away. He says that my manager should be worried. He is dependent on me. I have hinted that he is far too dependent, particularly being his go-to person for team expenses. My being on vacation for a longer period shows my point to be the case.

Today, I have my second eye injection for my eye stroke. I find that I am seeing a bit better. However, I can't tell if the drug injection is working, time is helping to clear up some of the blood in my central vision, or my eyes are simply adjusting to my eye's current state. I can only hope that my vision improves as much as possible.

The good news is that I no longer get dizzy when I look at objects. When it first happened, looking around made me so dizzy that I would have to either close my eyes or look down. The latter works because I don't see the blood and my vision is clearer that way.

I am working from home afterward my appointment. It simply means that I am on a conference call, listening in on my student training and following her presentation, and my taking over when there are gaps.

There are plenty of gaps. It's not unexpected. I am more a part-time trainer this week.

My student is doing a pretty good job for her first attempt. It simply means that there is room for improvement as she acquires more experience.

A spanking before travelling

My guy and I are on travelling schedules for the next few weeks. It's nice that my guy is already planning my spankings before and after he flies off.

He leaves for Cairo on Saturday, so I am taking him to the airport. He is there for two weeks before he travels over to Istanbul for a week. Thank goodness we have Skype! So, I have a spanking coming up.

My guy returns a day before I fly to Shanghai. Unfortunately, we couldn't take our vacation weeks together. It's still fine. I have seen him a lot more on weekends these days.
"It's a pretty long flight for you," my guy remarked.
"Yes, it's a day sitting on a plane," I estimated.
"You are going to be so uncomfortable sitting there with a sore butt," he noted.
"That's mean! You can't spank me hard before I fly off," I playfully protested.
"Sure, I can. You're my bad girl and I will spank you before you go on vacation."
I like when he spanks me before I travel. I remember the first time he did that. It was a day before I few off to Las Vegas a few years ago. It's a sweet reminder of how loved I am and how much he enjoys spanking me.

Pleasing my guy by sucking, kissing, jerking, and fingering him

While cuddling and resting my head against my guy's chest in the treehouse, I couldn't help but to rest my right hand on his crotch. I could feel his member grow harder in his jeans. I liked caressing it for a bit at this stage, which made my guy happy.

I then unbuttoned his jeans and unzipped his jeans. I reached in and helped myself to playing with his erect penis in his underwear. Eventually, my guy pulled them down and I got to hold his cock in my hand.
"Can you suck it?" my guy asked politely.
"Sure," I replied.
I reached for my strawberry-flavoured gel. My guy remarked that I came prepared. I placed some of the gel and distributed it on his member's head, and kept on spreading it downwards. I then began licking, kissing, and sucking him. The oral gel definitely adds an extra excitement layer to the experience.

My guy was growing in my mouth. He asked me to pull out and continuing jerking him off, which I did. I added a bonus step by fingering his anus with my middle finger, which drove him crazy. He loves when I do that. He eventually came all over my hand, which flowed down his shaft and onto his tummy.

I kissed him afterwards. It gives me great joy and satisfaction when he ejaculates.

We cleaned up. We then took a brief nap with my head on his shoulder, and his head resting on top of mine.

I love that our love for each other grows, which makes sex wonderful and special.

A good girl gets a hard spanking

My guy and I met on Sunday at 16:30 in our usual spot just outside where my guy works. It was the last session that he taught for this course.

He is the first to admit that he is always late. I know that, too. He's not exceptionally late, but it's funny how sleeping and shopping at Costco take precedence before showing up for work. I laughed. He's sweet that way.
"I need to spank you for teasing and laughing at me," he said to me over the phone.
"No. You like when I do," I said.
"Yes, that's true," he admitted.
"You don't need an excuse to spank me. You just do," I replied.
Sure enough, he parked next to my car about ten minutes later. We both got out of our respective cars. He popped his car's trunk and fetched all the almond beverage that he bought for me at our favourite liquidation store. I love how thoughtful he is. I moved them over to my car's trunk before we climbed into his treehouse.

My guy always has cold hands. I am the complete reverse. So, I warmed up his hands. We then cuddled for a bit. He said that he loves me. The feeling is mutual.

He loves kissing my neck and shoulder. I was wearing a pink scoopneck sweater. The back scoopneck dips lower than the front. He loved looking at my lacy black bra under it. He caressed my right breast by popping it out of my bra, which was nice.

We kissed. He has such sweet lips. It's heavenly when our lips meet.
"Are you horny?" he whispered in my left ear.
"Very," I admitted.
He unbuttoned and unzipped my jeans. He let me know that the temperature was cool earlier in the day and didn't want me to freeze in a short skirt. He liked my black, lacy panties and decided to finger me from behind. It felt good. It put my horniness into overdrive. I came and rested my head on his chest.
"I must be a good girl because you pleasured me," I said, smiling.
"No, you're still going to be spanked," he said firmly.
"I'm a good girl. Just say it," I said.
"You are a good girl," he said, which made me look at him.
"Hey, I'm a good girl!" I replied.
"You are anything you want. You're special," he said sweetly.
We kissed some more. Eventually, I was led over his lap. He loved the black lacy panties that I was sporting. He pulled them down, which got me even more excited.

He spanked me with his hand. Each smack felt harder than the previous one. I loved each smack that he delivered. I whined that it hurt, which made me spank me even more. It was great.

Eventually, he fingered me and wanted me to beg him to make me orgasm. It was so hot. I did. It was intense and great. I rested over his lap for a bit.

My guy pulled up my panties. He liked how pink my buttocks were underneath my lacy panties. He caressed my backside before he pulled my jeans up, being the gentleman that he is.

We cuddled. I thanked him for making me feel special and good. He kissed me several times on my forehead and he continued to hold me.

Natural sweeteners and a sore bottom

My guy and I are similar, even when it comes to wake-up times this past weekend. We both got up at 10:40 am on Saturday and at 10:00 am on Sunday.

On Sunday, my guy called me while driving off to his course. We had this conversation.
"How is your green drink blending program going?" he asked me.
"Good. I have been varying the original recipe. I have been experimenting with removing the green apple," I replied.
"Don't you want any sweetness in your drink?" he asked me.
"I can actually do without the sugar. I drink iced green tea without sugar. I also drink hot tea black," I replied.
"Well, if you lick your lips before each sip, that would be sweet enough," my guy said, being mushy and sweet.
"If I kissed your lips first, my drink would be perfectly sweetened," I replied.
"You're so sweet," he replied.
We are both mushy. Our date was in a few hours. It went well. I am sitting here with a sore backside to prove it.
