Clearing out my belongings from my car and looking forward to the long weekend

I have been slowly cleaning out my car. What remains are items in the trunk that I need to remove. It won't take too long.

At this rate, I don't think that my new car will arrive this week. I am somewhat relieved, mainly because it's not payday for me this week. Next week would be better. I'm also going into the Labour Day long weekend and don't necessarily want to feel poor before it by putting down my down payment!

I will miss my current car. It has been great. I always feel sad when I trade my current car in, but the sadness doesn't last.

I am more looking forward to having a longer weekend to relax.

Paid off a credit card

On Friday, I paid off a credit card that I've had for over a decade. It felt good.

I actually had to call customer service to get the final payoff balance. I had to wait another seven minutes on hold to have the woman calculate it.

I was on hold for nearly half an hour. At least I got the payoff total that I needed.

That's one problem about Canadian banks. They aren't upfront with your final balance. You are expected to pay what you owe on your statement. You then wait for another statement that calculates the interest.

I like how my bank in the US does it. There's the payoff balance and your statement balance for credit cards and lines of credit. You know exactly how much to pay off. You don't need to call customer service to have someone calculate the payoff balance for you.

Weird, Canada.

I'm happy that I have got rid of a loan and a credit card so far this year. My financial situation is looking better.

Hit-and-run bumper scratches

On Friday night, I went out for a drive-thru event. After it was over, I went to order some pizza for dinner.

I parked in a plaza that I hadn't been in over a decade. It was raining and windy at around 8:30 pm. I got my goods and headed back to my car. The rain had stopped.

There was enough light for me to notice that my passenger front bumper had yellow scratches on it. A yellow vehicle must have grazed my car.

On Saturday, I went to file an accident report. It went smoother than I had anticipated. I then went ahead and called my car insurance to create a claim. I am waiting for a link to upload photos of my car's scratches and then find out when I can get my car fixed.

Ah, the joys of a hit-and-run incident. Luckily, I wasn't in the vehicle and this issue can be fixed.

Hair salons and Canada Day

As expected, hair salons were busy the first day out of lockdown. I did a quick look at an app that I have with my salon and there was a three-hour wait.

I will wait to get my hair cut next week at the earliest. Perhaps things will be better then.

I had a nice day doing my usual grocery run earlier in the afternoon. I ended up shopping at a couple of places that I haven't dropped by in over three months. It felt great and freeing.

My pay got deposited a day early. Today's Canada Day. Many have heavy hearts this holiday, but there is always something good to look forward to.

Fully vaccinated and I'm okay!

My second shot went well. I got it at 2:58 pm. The process was fast and efficient. I liked sitting there for fifteen minutes afterwards, outside, in the shade, with a cool breeze!

The drive was congested in certain spots of the highway that I was on. It's crazy that there is so much congestion when the weather is better, and more people are out and about.

My side effects after the second shot are similar to my first one. I have a sore arm. Nothing crazy like what I heard from my friends or colleagues. I am lucky. It's also amazing how our bodies handle vaccines differently.

My friend and I texted each other as I sat outside. We are both fully vaccinated. Just that fact made me absorb its significance. It's a great feeling.

I had taken half a day off as vacation time to head over and get my vaccination shot. My manager sent me an e-mail. He was okay if I took the afternoon off as a sick day and saved my vacation time. It was a nice gesture.

Four more workdays to go. The countdown to my real vacation continues!

The weekend and an appointment change

My weekend is coming to a close. I often wonder why weekends end up blowing by so quickly and the workweek tends to not do the same thing.

I am contemplating changing my in-person doctor's appointment to having it over the phone like I have been since this pandemic started. The woman at the lab made it in-person. I don't trust her judgment. Half a year ago, she insisted that I get my health card updated even though expired ones are considered valid during this pandemic.

We'll see what happens. I dread waiting because it's horrendous and I could be doing better things with my time.

Visa debit and loan update

Yesterday, I paid off my loan in full. It is the first time that I have done it within two days of opening the loan account up. It feels weird, but I'm glad that I am not paying it off in 48 months.

My bank is setting up its bank cards with Visa debit. I have requested a new bank card. I was invited to make the request. I'm not sure if everyone who has a bank card gets invited and it's just a formality, or the bank is rolling this update out to customers in waves. It's be great, as I can use my debit card as a credit card should I making online transactions.

I'm waiting for the equity from my secured loan to get deposited into my account. It takes up to five business days. This loan is officially closed. I'm pleased.

Car maintenance that cost me nothing

On Monday, I finally bit the bullet and took my car in for servicing. I have put off getting my car's winter tires off due to the pandemic. When my oil change light lit up on the dashboard, I knew that I had to bring my car in. Thank goodness we are in stage 3 of businesses reopening.

I normally drop off my car and get a shuttle ride home. With the pandemic happening, shuttle service is unavailable. Instead, I had to sit there with a mask on and wait for my car.

The work done on my car took two hours. I will say that sitting under air conditioning with a comfortable cotton mask on was great. I used three hours of paid time off from work that I was supposed to take in early July, but was on vacation. I loved sitting there, relaxing, and vegging.

How much did I pay for the car maintenance. Nothing. Crazy, huh?

My car service was under warranty. Getting my all-season tires on was free, thanks to the tire rotation part of the servicing being done. I had paid for two seasons of tire storage at the place, so I didn't need to pay for more.

To top things off, I had a great service advisor. He was kind. It was nice chatting with him about everything from running out of printer paper, to pointing me in the right direction to get my free messenger bag. Yes, I got a free bag that's pretty nice.

It was a good day.

Donuts and the wait

Last night, I slept like a rock. It was great.

It's a long weekend. I have been craving donuts for a couple of months. I went a bit crazy on Saturday. I ordered six donuts from Tim Hortons and a dozen from Krispy Kreme.

I waited for nearly three hours to go through the Krispy Kreme drive-thru to place my order. Yes, these donuts are that good.

I don't consume donuts often. This pandemic has made me want some badly.

The wait truly didn't feel that long. Mind you, I am pretty patient to begin with. However, I ended up reading, listening to music, and writing. It certainly made the time pass by faster than I had anticipated.

I am pleased with my donut haul. I will be pacing myself!

Mac mini update and new iPod touch

I cringe whenever my old Mac mini has a software update. The update is happening right now. Either it goes smoothly or I lose two days trying to get it to boot up.

I'm not ready to get a new one. I have a MacBook Air that is getting on in years, but works a lot faster than my MacBook Air. I don't need to shell out for a new one. They aren't cheap!

I went ahead and got myself an iPod touch. I have been doing so well with paying off my debt this year. I thought that it would be a nice gift for me that I know will last for years. I need a bit of joy.

I'm writing this post on my phone. The software update is expected to take another forty minutes. Here's hoping that all goes well.

Waiting

I miss my guy. This week is his last one away before he returns home.

I can't wait to see him again.

Electric and sporty cars

On Tuesday, I had to take an early morning teleconference, so I worked from home for most of the morning. I then left to pick up my guy at work for lunch.

I got there and waited. I didn't see my guy at all. I decided to text him when he was running twenty minutes late. He apologized and said that he would be downstairs soon.

While I was waiting in the parking lot, I noticed that there was a nervous guy in a Hyundai Ioniq car. He kept looking at the two cars that were parked in the charging spots. He took a look at the meters, took photos, texted on his phone, and more.

He then moved his car in front of both cars. He went inside the office and came back out. He then moved his car.

I then saw my former boss with a colleague get into his Volvo electric car and pull out. I thought that perhaps the nervous guy was running out of juice and needed to charge his car. Nope, he pulled into the upstairs parking lot. Huh?

I was exhausted analyzing the whole situation. I went into the office to use the women's washroom for a change of scenery.

I walked over to my car. My guy was following suit.
"I'm so sorry," he said again.
"It's okay," I replied, as we both got into my car.
"Everything went wrong with the software, so I was trying to fix it," he noted.
"It's okay. You expect imperfections when you teach a new course," I said, squeezing his hand.
"I know," he said, smiling at me.
I drove us over to our Chinese restaurant. The ice storm did quite a number on it. The restaurant was still closed. We went back to the Afghani restaurant for lunch. Once again, I got salad dressing with dairy on my salad when I said that I didn't want it. Ugh!

It was a nice lunch chatting. My guy showed me a purple sportscar that he likes.
"Hey, it's purple," I noted.
"It is. I like it," he admitted.
"I like it, too. If you get it, you'll have to let me drive it. You'd be in my good books," I teased.
"We'll see," he said.
"That's a positive sign. Normally, you give me a firm no. I didn't get that. You're making progress!" I exclaimed.
"Maybe. We'll see," he smiled.
I enjoy teasing him about having me drive his car, even though he doesn't have this purple one. He knows it, too.

Why can't medical folks communicate well?

My biggest beef this year seeing various medical folks is that they don't communicate with one another. As someone who needs to communicate with people often, it drives me crazy.

The other day, when I went in to see my doctor for my regular quarterly checkup, as well as for my bronchitis. She asked a ton of questions about my eye stroke. I couldn't answer any of them. I asked if she got the report from my ophthalmologist. She didn't. I know that I gave him my family doctor's name and address.

She asked for the phone number of my ophthalmologist's office. Luckily, I had that on my phone. So, I showed her the number on my cell phone. She called her receptionist and asked to get my report from that office.
"Do you mind waiting for the report?" she asked me.
"Frankly, I want to go home and sleep," I admitted. "I don't know how long it will take."
"You have a good point."
I had already waited for 40 minutes in the waiting room to see my doctor. Why do I need to do it for an unspecified period when I am obviously not feeling well with all that coughing and sniffling?

My doctor is understanding. She said that she would follow up with me once the report comes to her. I just wish that medical folks made my life easier, rather than causing more havoc that I do not need to be subjected to.

T is for T-minus four days before the Fifty Shades Darker digital download #AtoZchallenge

I went to see Fifty Shades Darker three times at the theatre. You have the option of getting the digital HD download with your ticket. I went with it.

The good news is that the digital download is released earlier than the DVD. I get to download it on April 25. I can't wait!

Naturally, I will still be getting the DVD version, simply because I am a fan and would like to see what goodies accompany it.

I haven't started my countdown to Fifty Shades Freed. I am sure I will get excited about that when it's out next February.

Reading Grey in the doctor's office and thinking about ben wa balls

I had my quarterly doctor's appointment on Wednesday afternoon. I work from home on Wednesdays, so it isn't a big deal for me to work an extra couple of hours or so, to make up for my time away.

As expected, my doctor was running late. I was the first appointment after lunch, too.

I do come prepared. I have done everything from playing games on my phone to actually doing work on my laptop.

This time, I decided to pull out my Kobo app and read a book. I am more than halfway through reading Grey, which is essentially the Fifty Shades of Grey book, except that it is written from Christian Grey's perspective. I got it on sale just after Christmas.

Before my doctor came to see me, I was reading the part where Christian inserts ben wa balls in Ana, and then spank her across his knee with his hand. He first spanked her over her black lacy panties with his bare hand and then took them down to continue spanking her.

Before he spanked her, he tucked her hair behind her ear. He wanted to see her expression after each smack. He also kissed her backside afterwards.

All these details are reminiscent of what my guy and I do. I like wearing lacy black panties. He likes to spank me with them on and then eventually giving me a hard bare-bottomed spanking. He is known to kiss my backside sweetly after a spanking. He also likes seeing my reaction during a spanking.

The only difference? Ben wa balls. We don't own a set. Perhaps we should.

My doctor took my blood pressure. Luckily, reading Grey didn't affect my blood pressure. Instead, it made me feel aroused and happy.

W is for waiting

When it comes to meeting my guy somewhere, I tend to be the one who waits for him.

My guy isn't always tardy because it's his fault. I may be waiting for him at the airport and his flight is delayed. We may have set a time to meet at a restaurant, but traffic causes us both to be late and I still manage to get there before he does.

My guy and I haven't seen each other for a while. My guy is on an upswing from his recent bout with depression. I have been sad roughly a month after his depression set in due to my ex-hubby's passing, the space that I have given my guy to get out of the depression hole, and the stress that work tends to cause me these days.

When my guy's depression was at its worst two months ago, I was the one who initiated conversation with him. He wanted nothing to do with me for a bit. Things have changed.

He surprised me on Monday by texting me. He asked if I was free to do lunch. I was. I told him that I had to be back at the office by 14:00, for I had set up a meeting with the entire team of writers then. My guy said that he'd get me back in time.

He texted me at 12:45 and asked whether I could meet him in the lobby in two minutes. I was game.

Unfortunately, I bumped into my manager going to the elevators. He, too, had to buy lunch. He suggested that I take him out somewhere. I didn't want to say that I couldn't, but that I did indeed was going out for lunch.

My boss doesn't know that my guy and I are an item. He does know my guy, who was waiting in a corner down in the lobby, staring at his phone. I said hi to him, as did my boss, who understood that I had a lunch date with a colleague who doesn't come to the office as often as he used to. To my guy and me, it was a lunch date.

It was a nice change to have my guy wait for me. When we finally had some time alone while walking to his car, he was checking me out.
"You're all in pink... pink earrings, pink shirt under your black cardigan, and pink toenails. Are you fingernails pink?" he asked me.
"Nope, they're red," I replied, showing him my nails. "My fingernails did match my toenails last week."
Later on in the restaurant, he looked and smiled at me for the longest time.
"Are you okay?" I asked him.
"I am. It has been a while since I saw you," he said, grinning from ear to ear.
"It's nice seeing you smile."
He also noticed that I had cut my bangs.

When my guy is happy, he notices such details. They are are wonderful signs that he's getting back to his old self.

Friday night date and spanking

It has taken me quite some time to write this post. The Friday I am referring to was two Fridays ago.

My guy and I had another passing-like-ships-through-the-night experience on Friday, except that we were in the office. I got into the office and my guy wasn't there. He was likely helping out a new colleague. I had an impromptu meeting with one of my writing colleagues, which lasted an hour.

My guy and I finally saw each other and said hello. An hour later, he logged on to Skype. He wanted a proper dinner with me at our favourite Chinese restaurant. I was game.

I left work and waited for a long time for my guy to arrive in front of the restaurant. My guy apologized. He was booking his flight to New Jersey slated to take off on Sunday.

We had dinner. I had lollipop chicken, which was technically an appetizer, and hot and sour soup. My guy had the Manchurian chicken.

We chatted for quite some time at the restaurant. My guy talked about how he would be working from home more. It saddened me a bit. He reassured me that we'd working something out.

He said that working from home would allow him to get a more expensive car. Seeing him talk about a BMW was nice. His eyes lit up. He was so happy. He reminded me of a sweet, happy boy.

And, yes, he is boyish. He told me that I would never be able to drive a manual car in his fancy car. I teased him about it, which made us both laugh.

We ironed out a few minor issues, mainly my waiting for him. I even pointed out that I had to wait for him at the restaurant as he had to go to the washroom. He touched my back lovingly. He told me that he'd try and do better.

We left the restaurant and headed into our treehouse. He liked my new capri jean pants. He caressed my leg from top of my thigh to my ankle.

As always, we started off kissing. I made a joke about how he was still thinking about his car. He thought that I was jealous. I wasn't. He told me that I made him much happier than that car would. He is the king of smoothness.

I was wearing a grey shirt. He unbuttoned it and and played with my black bra strap. He caressed my breasts as we continued to kiss.

My guy told me that it was time for me to be punished. I playfully protested. It didn't work.

He used the wooden ruler across my backside. I still had my jeans on, which were fitted. He slapped my buttocks, the backs of my thighs, and my calves. I told him that his aim was bad, which prompted him to slap my butt even harder.

My guy warned me that he was going to undo my fly and zipper. I giggled, as it was ticklish. He proceeded to finger my pussy. I came soon afterwards. My guy didn't want to waste any time and made me come again.

He wanted to finger my backside. I told my guy that I wanted to take a breather. I needed him to hold me in his arms. So, he did just that and we laughed, telling each other dopey things.

He looked at me, and said that I was both beautiful and cute. He played with my hair and had his hands cupped on either side of my face. He kissed me. It was yummy.

My guy went ahead and fingered my backside with his thumb and worked his other four fingers up my pussy. Wow! The experience was incredibly intense. I came moments later.

I got up from his lap and kissed him. He had the wooden ruler and used it across my backside. It was enjoyable to kiss him and get whacked with the ruler.

My guy and I kissed. My hand naturally rested on his cock, which was hard. I told him that it would be over a week until I'd be able to touch it again. My guy agreed.

I went down and nuzzled his cock, rubbing my cheek against his jean-clad, hard member. He liked it. I went and playfully wrapped my lips up and down it. He asked me to bite it. Considering how thick jean material can be, I did just that. I could feel his cock expand. It was nice.

I had to pull out early, as I was beginning to drool. I didn't know how long it would take for a huge patch of saliva to dry, so I played it safe.

Normally, my guy unbuttons and unzips his jeans, and pulls down both his pants and briefs before I get to work on him. It was a memorable moment when I unbuckled his belt with my left, and unbuttoned and unzipped his jeans. He took over by taking them and down and briefs. It was nice to see how erect his penis was.

I gave my guy a handjob. He adjusted my bra strap and shirt, exposing the former and pulling the latter off my shoulder. He played with my breasts. I continued to jerk him off. Moments later, he came all over his thigh and my right hand.

I took a photo of the end result on my hand. Both of us agreed that it was a nice momento.

We spent the next couple of hours talking. In a way, it seemed like we were trying to make up for the time that we'd be apart. However, we vowed that we'd chat on Skype as often as possible. He knows that I tend to go to bed late. He would be shopping after work and would love to chat afterwards.

New sandals, a spanking, and a cookie

It was an odd day. I got to work and didn't say a word to my guy. Our timing was simply off.

My guy was talking to a colleague when I got to my desk. I ended up returning a phone call. They walked away over to the colleague's desk. I ended up talking to two of my three writing colleagues, which took up most of my afternoon.

My guy was at his desk for most of my talks with my colleagues. We finally exchanged words on Skype. He asked me when I wanted to leave work. I told him the sooner, the better, before I would get bombarded with more questions.

The funny thing was that I had said goodbye to my colleagues. My guy apparently didn't hear that, as he was too focused on filling out his timesheet. He eventually made it over to the treehouse, explained that he was deaf, and apologized for being late.

We got into the backseat. I rubbed my guy's leg. It had cookie crumbs all over his navy blue slacks. He brushed them off. I told him that he was "crummy." He smiled and also noted that it didn't sound so charming.

I got hungry. My guy was kind to offer me his last cookie. We talked as I munched. Afterwards, he took the empty cookie wrapper from me.
"You're Cookie Monster," I said to him as we kissed. "But, you're not blue or have big eyes on top of your head."
"You must be a cock monster," he hinted. I looked at him funny. We both laughed.
"You mean Cockie Monster?" I asked.
He brushed the cookie crumbs off my skirt. He continued to place his hand on my tummy, leg, lap, and inner thigh, to gauge how ticklish I was.

He wanted to talk more about how ticklish I can be. I told him that I'd have to kiss him to make him shut up. It worked!

When we came up for air, he told me that I was a naughty girl. He wanted to spank me. I was game.

I obediently went over his knee. He started to spank me with his hand over my skirt. He lifted it up moments later and continued spanking me over my panties.
"I don't know why you're punishing me. I am a good girl."
"No, you're not," he replied. "A good girl does not wear black lacy panties and have fingers up her wet pussy."
He was still spanking me. They were hard smacks, with several of them landing on my left buttock. It hurt a bit, which caused my legs to kick up.
"You're wearing your old sandals! I told you not to wear them," he said, pretending to be angry and smacking my left buttock even harder.
"They are new sandals!" I exclaimed. He paused.
"You're right. I apologize," he said, rubbing my left buttock. "I take that back."
"How can you take a spanking back?" I asked him.
"You're right. I need to spank the other buttock as many times as the left."
And, so, he did just that. It was cute.
