Fully vaccinated and I'm okay!

My second shot went well. I got it at 2:58 pm. The process was fast and efficient. I liked sitting there for fifteen minutes afterwards, outside, in the shade, with a cool breeze!

The drive was congested in certain spots of the highway that I was on. It's crazy that there is so much congestion when the weather is better, and more people are out and about.

My side effects after the second shot are similar to my first one. I have a sore arm. Nothing crazy like what I heard from my friends or colleagues. I am lucky. It's also amazing how our bodies handle vaccines differently.

My friend and I texted each other as I sat outside. We are both fully vaccinated. Just that fact made me absorb its significance. It's a great feeling.

I had taken half a day off as vacation time to head over and get my vaccination shot. My manager sent me an e-mail. He was okay if I took the afternoon off as a sick day and saved my vacation time. It was a nice gesture.

Four more workdays to go. The countdown to my real vacation continues!

Self-spanking thought while driving home

I was driving home from hanging out with two friends yesterday. I do missing being a bad girl and getting a good spanking.

It was different having this thought while driving home during rush hour. Self-spankings have been helpful, as I don't have a partner these days. However, getting into the mood has been difficult. I don't want to make it a scheduled event. It should happen whenever I feel like it.

This weekend will be a good time to self-spank. It is long overdue.

Rush hour traffic is horrible, especially when the weather is poor

I left work on Thursday at 17:00. It's considered early for me.

I had an event to attend in my neck of the woods. I allowed two hours to get there. I got there with 13 minutes to spare.

Traffic is horrible in the greater Toronto area. I was actually on a toll highway, which should have taken me half that time, at most, on a good day. This highway was slow, thanks to all the rain coming down, some sort of accident along the way, and just plain slowness during rush hour.

The event that I attended was both indoors and outdoors. Luckily, it wasn't a windy day. It was pretty mild. I was happy with my umbrella. It ended up being a great night.

First major snowstorm of the season

Ah, snow. Just when I am planning a road trip, our first major snowstorm hit late afternoon.

The timing couldn't have been better. It started just before rush hour. It took me 2.5 hours to get home.

The snow is supposed to subside in the early afternoon. I will assess and see if it's a decent time to head stateside.

The good news is that my vacation starts now. Fortunately, my schedule is pretty flexible. I just need to be somewhere on Saturday night.

Highways, tolls, conference calls, and sleep

I have been using highway 407, which is a toll highway, for over seven years. I am perfectly fine shelling out a bit more to save some time to get to work.

When I first started my current job, I took highway 401. It was a top-and-go commute to and from work. Somedays, it would take me two hours to get home. These days were clear and free of snow.

Traffic in the greater Toronto area is horrific. The infrastructure cannot support the volume of cars on the road.

Taking a toll highway saves my brakes and makes me less fatigued. These days, I take the 407 to work. Coming home, I take a backroad, which is still faster than taking the 401.

Highway 407 rarely has accidents. An accident on Monday morning impacted my drive to work. It was the third accident that I have ever seen on it. It didn't look like anyone was hurt, thankfully.

I was late to work by about twenty minutes. I was also on two consecutive conference calls that I take through my Bluetooth car speaker while I was stuck in traffic.

I am fortunate to be able to work from home at least once a week. It helps a ton.

I get to sleep in a bit today. Yep, I have yet another conference call to take. Ah, what fun!

Allergic reactions, leather, and silicone

It has been an interesting week as far as odd allergic reactions go. I typically don't have any. This week, I had two.

On Monday, my left eye was itchy. It then decided to go into discharge mode. My contact lens hadn't torn, and I didn't have an eyelash caught between it and my eyeball.

It was snowing on my way home. I remembered that I had a small bottle of lubricating drops in my purse. Traffic was stop and go. When my car was at a full stop at a red light, I got some relief putting some drops in both eyes.

I got home and took my contacts out. My left eye had more of the itchy discharge than my right. The latter was starting. I had discharge all evening. Oh, fun! I did some research and it was an allergic reaction. What I was doing, which was putting moisturizing drops in my eyes, was the best solution.

Right now, I have a slight rash on my wrist. I have been using a stainless steel band on my Fitbit Alta. I have a feeling that I am allergic to it.

I changed my band to the replacement silicone one that Fitbit replaced. My original one broke and it was under warranty. We'll see if my rash will go away.

I suppose that I am simply either a leather or silicone strap person. It seems to be the case for watches, Fitbit devices, and perhaps spanking implements.

Black Friday sales... ugh!

For the last three years, I am turned off when it comes to Black Friday sales. I don't know why it has become a tradition in Canada when this ritual comes for our neighbours to the south. However, I feel the same way about Black Friday as I do with Boxing Day sales, with some minor differences.

Black Friday used to be shopping on that particular day for bargains. Yes, you'd be shopping on a Friday. These days, you have pre-Black Friday sales. And, there's a catch, too. You can actually have a full weekend or more of these Black Friday sales.

One word: Ugh.

Boxing Day is a Canadian holiday. In the past, stores would be closed that day. There would be Boxing Day sales on December 27, which is a day after this holiday. These days, you can have your sale start on Christmas or even earlier. And, it's not a Boxing Day sale. Oh, no. It's a Boxing week sale, which could carry on for longer than week. Stores are also open on Boxing Day.

The same word: Ugh.

I don't have much to buy for either sale. It has to be something that I truly need. I am trying to adopt a minimalistic approach to debt and shopping these days.

I have also done all my Christmas shopping. I am that prepared.

On Friday, it took forever for me to drive home. It seemed like everyone was out shopping.

My guy called me from Egypt, where he is there for less than a month. It was great hearing from him.  He is over his jetlag and is safe. Chatting with him made my commute more bearable.
"How's my cute girl?" he asked me.
"I am stuck in traffic. I am literally under highway 400," I replied.
"Are you on highway 401?" he asked me.
"Nope, I'm backroading it," I replied. "It's Black Friday."
"Ah, I see," said my fellow shopper. "You don't get too many deals."
"I agree. You probably do in the States."
It's nice that my guy and I are on the same page. For Canadians, the deals are better during the Boxing Day, week, or month sales.

Staying calm in traffic after a mixup

It has been a long week.

On Friday, while driving home from my various shopping excursions, my cell phone rang. It was my resource manager from the employment agency. I took the call.

He broke the bad news. He explained that the hiring manager who liked my skills during my first interview decided to go with another candidate who was more qualified. I was actually okay with the news. I explained that I hadn't been interviewed in over seven years and was simply pleased that I have a decent set of skills that gets noticed.

It was a cordial call. We hung up.

Five minutes later, my phone rang again. It was the same person. I was still stuck in traffic.

He indicated that he had made a mistake. He is working with two different hiring managers with the same first name. Mine is still interested in conducting a second interview.

It was an odd mixup. My resource manager apologized. I indicated that it has been such a crazy week that mistakes happen.

It's a good thing that I am a calm person stuck in traffic.

Ladybug luck

I was hungry. I was caught in rush-hour traffic. I had worked up an appetite and went through a fast-through drive-in to grab a quick bite to eat.

It was strange that, after placing my order, I was asked to drive around and come back. I looked behind me and there wasn't a car. However, after doing a lap around the restaurant, there was a car in front of me. It was odd to me. If my order wasn't ready, why not have me park in front of the restaurant and have someone hand me my food?

Anyway, I got my food and parked my car. With my car windows down, I ate.

Moments later, a ladybug landed on my lap. I wish that I had taken a photo, but I didn't have a chance. It stayed on me for five seconds and then left.

They say that ladybugs bring luck to you when they come visit you. I hope that this superstition is true. The bright red visitor made my day.

Interviews in the city where my guy resides

Friday was quite the day. My manager and I had to drive to a university about an hour away from the office.

My boss indicated that we should leave the office at 09:00 sharp. I am extremely punctual. I actually had to go upstairs to tell my manager to come downstairs to where I had parked in the lot. I was driving.

Already, we were about ten minutes late. My boss isn't the most punctual person. Add the fact that a tractor trailer decided to balance itself on a guardrail between two sets of highways (the collector and express lanes) during rush hour, which affected us, I knew that we were going to be late.

I do have a lead foot. I managed to make up some time, but we were still fifteen minutes late when you factor in parking at the university, walking over to the building that you need, registering, and settling in your new surroundings. Apparently, being fifteen minutes late wasn't too bad. According to our first intern candidate, her interview before ours was delayed by an hour.

One of our current intern students had recommended a taco place by the university. I reached out to her to get some suggestions. She did a nice job. I enjoyed the tacos. My boss is more of the buffet type. He likes volume. You don't get that at the restaurant. I am a foodie who tries anything and cannot stomach plates of food at a buffet. These tacos were tasty.

We had a surprise, unscheduled interview. As a result, our lunch was shortened. We were still running late, but all the candidates were exceptionally understanding.

We interviewed a total of five candidates. The toughest part now is selecting one from the crop. They are talented, bright, and articulate.

The drive back was decent. The last time we did it, it was stop-and-go traffic. It doesn't work well with my boss, who gets carsick easily.

Although I get along fine with my boss, he tends to be a combination of a worry wart and a whiner. It was a hot day, with temperatures easily hitting the 30-degree mark on the Celsius scale. He constantly complained about how hot it was in and out of my car. I ended up calling him crispy.

It is good that I am patient and calm. Otherwise, I would have told him to stop whining and complaining.

I thought about my guy often during this trip. The university is in the same city in which he lives. I wish that the timing were better. Both times where I have conducted on-campus interviews, my guy has been on the road. It would have been nice to have seen him for lunch or something.

Oh, well. We'll try again soon.

Change of lunch plans due to crappy traffic - what else is new?!

My guy and I had planned on having a late lunch on Wednesday. The problem? He called just before the time when we were supposed to meet and told me that he was stuck in traffic. He had been on the road for nearly two hours and wasn't even close to the restaurant.

I decided to drive to him. He was calling me from Islington and the 401. My guy would tell you that I am the most resourceful person he has ever met. I did a search on my phone for a decent restaurant close to where we was. There was a Vietnamese on a couple of exits from where he was, so I suggested that he do that.

Well, he surprised me by saying that he had travelled further along. He is directionally challenged after all! He was now at Avenue Road. I told him to take that exit. He did and waited for me along Wilson Avenue.

My guy and I were chatting for the whole time on the phone. Yes, we were both handsfree. It was funny that I was waiting at the intersection to turn left. I could see a police car. I asked him whether he saw it. He didn't. Well, it turned out that the police car was there for parking violations. The cop was ticketing the car in front of his. My guy was parked in front of the soon-to-be-ticketed car.

My guy saw my car. I told him to pull into a parking lot as I passed his, to avoid getting a ticket.

We parked. My guy got into my car. He looked good, as usual.

I had debated whether to give him his birthday present the day that we fly off to Seattle or a bit earlier. I decided to go with the latter. He loved his present. We kissed. He was cleanly shaven and smelled good.

We had to figure out where to eat. I wanted to do a search on my phone, but my guy was too busy kissing and holding my right hand. He's sweet. He also said that he would rather eat me than lunch!

Eventually, he let go of my hand for a minute, so that I could find a restaurant. I did! We drove over there, which wasn't too far away.

I will write more in a bit. Stay tuned!

K is for a kiss

My guy and I love kissing each other. When we do, we can often go for minutes. It's a problem when we have to leave immediately for work or something.

My guy had to go to work the day that I was leaving Montreal. For me, it would be an easy drive home, so I didn't have a set time to leave.

After we had breakfast together, we headed back to our room. He gathered his laptop and hat. He told me to drive safely and let him know when I had arrived home. He knows that I have a lead foot when I drive and told me to ease off the accelerator. I nodded obediently.

I wished him a safe drive to work and a great day. You could tell that we wanted to kiss, but knew that we would be in a lip lock for a while. Instead, we embraced each other tightly.

He left the room and I continued to pack.

Five minutes later, I heard him come through the door.
"Hello!" he exclaimed, trying to find me. I was off to the side, packing away my toiletries.
"Hey, you're back!" I said, surprised to see him so soon. "What did you forget?"
"My change," he said, picking up half the toonies and quarters off the desk.
"You're not going to take all your change?" I asked him curiously.
"No, I'm good with half my stash."
Our eyes met. We both knew that we should have kissed earlier. We made up for it. It was one sweet kiss that didn't make us want to make out, take off our clothes, and spend the rest of the day in bed together. It was meaningful and loving.

We hugged yet again. Our hug felt nice, too. It was a decent, long one. I hugged him tight. He reciprocated.
"If I see you back for a third time, I will be concerned. But, I won't mind seeing you so soon," I said, smiling at him.
My guy smiled back at me, blew me a kiss, and left for work.

Cough, congestion, and my first day at the office?

I am still congested and dealing with a hacking cough. On a good note, the mucus and phlegm production is slowly easing.

I have decided to take a sick day on Wednesday. I was hoping to catch up on my blog posts, but all the coughing that I have been doing is draining my energy reservoir.

It snowed today while I was in the office, so the drive home was horrible. For some reason, a light dusting of snow scares Canadians. Sheesh!

Anyway, I wanted to share a quick story. On Monday, I got into an elevator with an older woman and a guy. The guy got off on the second floor. The doors closed and the elevator continued going up.
"Is today your first day?" she asked me.
"No," I replied. "Does it look like it's my first day on the job?"
"Oh, I just see a number of new faces around here."
I take that either as a compliment that I looked fresh-faced for a Monday morning. I could also take it as my looking clueless or lost.

Who knows? Maybe it was all of the above!

Picking up my guy and hearing a threat against my bottom - part 1

Sunday had arrived. My guy was teaching a course for a full six hours, in the heart of downtown Toronto.

Let's just say that the location is a madhouse. There is construction going on in the area. The neighbourhood is busy all the time. It took me ten minutes to drive four blocks.

Then, you have impatient people honking at one another. It isn't exactly stress-free driving.

My guy called me at 17:50. I told him where I was. I didn't realize that his car was near mine, with a dumpster was blocking my sight of his car.

He came out of the building a bit later than expected. He got into my car. We both had the same thought -- that it would be best to keep his car parked and I would drive us to the restaurant to eat.
"Have you done some research on where we should go and eat?" he asked me, knowing that I tend to come prepared.
"Are you in slave-driving mode again?" which made him smile. "I'm heading towards King Street, which is where all the eateries are."
"Sounds good," he replied.
We ended up talking about something else and another discussion happened.
"I am supposedly known as Cheap Bastard," he replied.
"What do you mean you are supposedly?" I teased. "You are Cheap Bastard."
"Really?" he said, with a mild threatening tone in his voice. "We'll see about that when I punish you for that comment."
"My bottom is safe right now. I didn't do anything. I am just driving us to a nice restaurant."
"Well, when we are together for a week in Turkey, you bottom won't be safe when I am done with you."
We held hands as I continued to drive us to our destination. It's always great when he is happy. I am happy, too.

Missing a Skype text

It has been a busy couple of weeks at work. Last week consisted of packing up my desk contents into a box. We have officially moved office locations as of this Monday.

It wasn't packing my stuff that made things hectic. We also had a bigwig executive who wanted an all-employee meeting at a hotel on our last day at the office. The sad part about his talk was that he didn't use a microphone, so you couldn't hear him for at least half the time.

We also had last-team-lunch-at-the-old-office outings and such. I have spent nearly four years working in that office building. It has come to an end and a new era has begun.

I have to tack on an extra ten minutes to my commute to get to the new office. It's not bad now, but I am sure that it will feel chaotic when students go back to school next week. I am not looking forward to the new school year, but I'll be okay once I get used to the sluggish rush hour traffic again.

Last week, my guy (MG) was in India on business. Last Monday, I drove into work. It wasn't until I was in the office that I got my guy's Skype message. I wrote back to him.

We have fun exchanges, especially when we are both missing each other and are horny.
MG: Tried to call you this morning (last night your time), but you were offline. You know that you should be online all the time, right?
Me: I tend to leave home just before 08:00. Am I in trouble again? My data connection wasn't on.
MG: Your problem, not mine. And yes, you're in big trouble.
MG: I've warned you of being offline when I want you. You know what happens when you upset me this way...
Me: But, it's your fault for wanting to contact me while I am driving to work. I can't be distracted while I drive, right?
Me: I am a good girl, so I shouldn't be in trouble.
MG: You can always pull over and tend to my needs.
MG: It's never my fault.
MG: It's your fault and your bottom will get really sore when I see you.
Me: Yes, you have a point there.
Me: True, but for now, by bottom is safe from Mr Meanie.
MG: Not for too long. I'll make it really red and achy.
It's always great when we both know how to arouse each other, no matter where we are.

Lunch, congestion, emotion, and a handjob

A couple of Wednesdays ago, my guy and I went out for lunch. We couldn't meet after work, so we opted to have a pleasant chat over food.

We always have fun when we chat at our usual Chinese restaurant. Now and again, my guy reverts to being a horny boy, lusting after the girl that he wants and needing relief. He's charming that way. This lunch hour was one of those days.
"Can we have a quick meeting at our usual spot?" he asked me.
"Are you sure?" I asked him.
"I want you so badly," he explained.
Of course, today was just the worst time of day to drive over to our usual spot. The two main arteries near our spot was reduced to a single lane due to construction. It was a slow crawl to get there.

The next challenge was that our usual parking lot was being repaved. We had to find a different spot elsewhere. At one point, while we were parked and talking in the front seat of my guy's car, a construction worker came over and told us to move.
"We can move to the other side of the lot," I explained.
"We'll be here for a brief time," he said, hinting at his hard cock slightly resurrecting itself within his pants.
He wanted me to jerk him off. I was game. His erect penis was exposed for me to wrap my hand around it and do what we both enjoy.

My guy loved that I was able to talk dirty to him while looking like everything was okay. At one point, I was on the lookout for more construction workers.
"Is someone coming?" my guy asked me.
"There's a construction working walking near us. He has two (coffee) cups from Timmy's," I reported.
"He doesn't have nice cups like you do," my guy remarked.
He is better at emoting these days.
"I love you," he said to me.
"I know. I love you, too."
"I love you so much. I don't ever want to lose you. I can't lose you again."
Moments later, my guy ejaculated all over my hand. Everything was lovely.

Lunch suits us both well.
