Humidity and Starbucks

I didn't sleep as well as I could have last night. It was so humid overnight that I woke up all sweaty. It's still humid outside and I appreciate the air conditioner. It's effective.

My usual Starbucks is a five-minute drive away. As of late, I don't enjoy going there. Staff keep on saying, "So, it's just the iced green tea?" What's up with just? I tore two baristas by telling them to drop it. I don't want to buy anything else and my drink matters to me.

I actually said to one of them, "You aren't just a barista. You are a barista."

I also don't enjoy going there right now because it is out of iced peach green tea.

My third-closest Starbucks is my new favourite place. When I order iced peach green tea, they never ask whether I want lemonade in it. I don't. If I did, I would have specified lemonade. They get it right.

This place also has plenty of iced peach green tea. It's now my go-to cafe for a cold drink on a hot day.

Free frapp

Yesterday, I ran my errands a day earlier than I typically do. It was such a sunny day that I needed to get some vitamin D. Later on today, we are expecting a mix of snow and rain. I want to simply stay at home and avoid driving in it.

I dropped by my local Starbucks. I am a regular customer. I approached the drive-thru and the barista knew who I was just looking at my car.

When I got to the window to pick up my beverage, she said that she had made an extra drink by accident and wanted to give it to me. She knew that I'd likely want it. She was right. It was a double chocolatey chip creme frappuccino. I thanked her for the free drink.

I have never had one before. I must admit that it was pretty good. It was nice that she thought of me.

End of my vacation and a Starbucks birthday memory

In a few hours, I head back to work. I am working from home till the end of this year.

This staycation has been nice. I have enjoyed being stress-free for over a week. I am relaxed. I am sad to see my vacation end, but it eventually had to.

I will share a nice memory of this vacation. At Starbucks, if you are a part of the rewards program, you get a free beverage or food item on your birthday.

I visit my local Starbucks often, which is roughly twice a week during this pandemic. I am and have been a regular customer for several years.

On my birthday, when I went to pick up my beverage, the barista over the drive-thru speaker wished me a happy birthday. I returned the following day and two baristas wished me a belated birthday.

It was such a sweet gesture. They made me feel special.

Hacked information in the wrong hands and my cell phone reported lost by someone

Here's a follow-up to my post on how a few personal details can get into the wrong hands and how worried the guy is about his actions.

A few months ago, my Starbucks account was compromised. I was at the car dealership, waiting for my car to be done with servicing. I logged into my Starbucks app and noticed two transactions that were foreign to me. One happened in Miami. The other in New York within five minutes. There was no way that I was in two states in that period, especially when I was still in Canada.

I called Starbucks support and the woman was helpful. I didn't like when she asked which card it had come from. I have Starbucks cards in both the United States and Canada. Sure enough, it came from a U.S. card. The balance wasn't huge. The person purchased a drink and some food. Nevertheless, Starbucks reimbursed the funds and cancelled that card for me.

My Starbucks account had my phone number there. If this guy logged on and used that card, he likely got my cell phone number. I have since removed my cell phone number from the account, as it's far from being mandatory.

As for tracking me with check-ins on Yelp and Twitter, he has too much time on his hands. It was a good wakeup call for me. I stopped the Twitter check-in from Yelp. I tried it out on Saturday and all was good.

I don't go down without a fight. I'm interesting that way, as I like to gain a bit of information about this person.

On my Twitter account, which was still public, I replied to my own tweet. I addressed the guy who stalked me. I said that he has been reported. He was messing with the wrong person. I have both voice recordings with his swearing and threats thanks to an app that I have. I recommended that he back off, as he was messing with the wrong person.

It is all true. I lucked out and bought an app that tells you whether phone numbers are safe to pick up. You can also report numbers that are considered nuisances. It also records all calls for protection and potential evidence down the road.

He got scared. This part of the story is still speculation, though.

On early Monday morning, just after I had posted my last post, I got an e-mail alert acknowledging that I had reported my phone lost. Really? It wasn't me.

I got that issue resolved online. As a security measure, I have a PIN associated with my cell phone provider on my account. This person reported my phone lost through the phone, which the person at my provider confirmed.

The woman with my service provider said that it is likely that the person entered his phone number incorrectly when reporting his phone stolen over the phone. Part of me hopes so. The other part of me thinks that this guy panicked and thinks that reporting my phone lost will help slow things down. Revenge? Perhaps. It's dumb, though.

The other thing is that my phone number, if you searched for the first seven digits, comes out being with a different cell phone provider. He would have to do a ton of digging to figure out that it's with my current provider. So, it leads me to believe that my number was reported by accident. I can't prove anything here, though.

Ah, the joys of having information in the wrong hands in a digital age.

Currently, my Twitter account is private. We'll see if that helps, too. I have learned so much this episode. Hopefully, we have reached its end.

Learning from checking in on apps and broadcasting my location on social media

I had something odd happen to me yesterday. Some may consider it scary. I have a feeling that I have put some of the puzzle pieces together.

After work, I went to Starbucks to get a beverage. The baristas there were nice. I ordered my drink through the app like I usually do, went through the drive-thru, got my drink, and drove home.

I normally check in using my Yelp app. Some people are afraid of having their location shown. For me, I used to be in this camp. My thought is that checking and then leaving is okay. I'm gone that any stacker can't catch up to you.

Well, here's the odd part. I must have been twenty minutes away. I got a call from this Starbucks location. It was the cafe's phone number on my phone. It was one call after the other for a total of four calls. No message was left.

It then shifted to a completely different number. When the third call came in, I was waiting at yet another drive-thru. I answered the call and stayed silent.

The guy on the other end knew my first name and my phone number. He was wondering why I wasn't answering. Well, I was at a drive-thru deciding on what I wanted to order. He eventually hung up and called back for a fourth time.

I had placed my order. I picked up and said hi. He proceeded to say that I had checked in on Yelp and asked, "Why the f*ck do you check in so many times?" I decided to hang up on him. I didn't like the swearing and I didn't understand why he was so upset.

I have an app on my phone that not only blocks these calls, but I can report them to a database and add my comments. I did just that.

I see a couple of things that contributed to this incident:
  • When I checked in on my Yelp app, it also broadcasts that check-in on Twitter. The guy saw my tweet on Twitter. I looked at the interactions and found one hit in my statistics. Only my friends on Yelp know my check-ins and they are decent people who would not harass me.
  • As for getting my phone number, my Starbucks app was compromised a few months back. My phone number was likely obtained from that incident.
Put my tweet and my phone number together, and you have someone out there who doesn't have a life.

I also feel that he has a software application where he can change the phone number that ultimately gets displayed on your phone when you receive a call. It seems rather clean that he used the Starbucks number to call me four times, and then used another one with a different area code exactly four times in the same rapid succession.

When he swore at me, it was quiet in the background. He obviously was not at Starbucks. You cannot be in two different cities in the Greater Toronto Area within seconds.

When I was in Dallas, I disabled my check-ins being broadcast to Twitter. I don't know what possessed me to put it back on, but I have decided to permanently stop it.

It's quite the lesson. The good news is that I have set up these precautions and will see if it makes a difference.

Wish - reusable drinking straws

I have been shopping on Wish for roughly two years. I like that you can find cool items for cheap. The downside is that these items come mostly from China and it takes a month for them to arrive.

I am a patient person. However, I don't recall what I had ordered until I see something in my mailbox.

For a while, I have wanted to get reusable drinking straws. I often go out to Starbucks to get an iced drink or someplace else for a fountain drink. I seem to use a straw every other day, which is not helping our planet.

I got a five-pack of purple glass drinking straws. They also come with two straw cleaners. I am extremely pleased with my purchase. It was also carefully wrapped in massive bubble wrap. I was impressed.

The downside is that I do not have some sort of travelling case for my straws. I guess that I need to look on Wish for it... haha!

Reaching out when someone is hungry

At various intersections across the greater Toronto area, there are often folks who will walk between cars stopped at a red light to ask for money. Sometimes, if I have some change, I will give it to them, hoping that they use the money wisely instead of buying a pack of smokes.

The problem these days is that I rarely use cash to pay for anything. I am often using my debit card to pay for purchases. Sometimes, I pay using a credit card.

On Saturday, it was different. There was a man at the intersection that I was stopped at. He was holding a sign saying that he was "very hungry."

The thought that someone is hungry is horrible.

I don't recall his sign saying that he wanted money. Hungry was all that was in my head.

On Friday night, I had stopped by a Starbucks on my way home to buy a two-pack of dark chocolate peanut butter cups. I quickly remembered that it was in my purse. I had used my mobile app to pay for this item, which had a label with my first name on it and the date when I had purchased it.

I grabbed the package, rolled down my window, and handed it to the man. He seemed genuinely thankful.
"Thank you. God bless you. Have a good weekend," he said, cracking a smile.
"You, too," I replied.
The traffic light turned green. I drove off. I saw the man on the cement island, opening the package and eating. It made my day knowing that I helped someone out because I could.

Dealing with incompetent insurance and drug representatives

I dread talking to both my insurance company and the drug company program these days. It seems that every time I have an upcoming appointment, I get annoying calls from them. I then get all worked up dealing with their stupidity.

Today, just before a meeting at work, my cell phone rang. It was from my insurance company. I let it go to voice mail. I then let it sit there for over three hours before I decided to listen to it.

It was from my assigned case manager at my insurance company. She was the one who gave me the option to either have my insurance company dispense the drug for my eye injection or go with my ophthalmologist's pharmacy. I elected to go with the latter when I was asked a couple of weeks ago. Instead, both my insurance and this drug program went with the former. Um, so why call me to ask what I want and then not respect what I want?

The case manager asked me to call her. She had more questions for me. Again, I wasn't thrilled.

I was driving over to Starbucks. It is frappuccino happy hour and I managed to get my order in before the 18:00 cutoff time. I decided to call this case manager.

She seemed friendly. She didn't annoy me as much as the first time I had spoken to her, simply because I asked her the question that has been on my mind for a while. Why wasn't my decision to go with my ophthalmologist's pharmacy honoured?

She advised that she had told this drug program what I wanted. For some reason, it assumes that everyone wants to go with the insurance company's pharmacy. I flat out said that I get stressed out dealing with all these people who cannot communicate with one another. I told her that these calls get me all worked up, which is contrary to what I need to do. She understood and apologized, saying that she would fix everything.

Finally, I asked her whether I was going to continue talking to these various insurance and drug program folks every time I go to my next appointment. She confirmed that I would not.

I find that when you have too many parties involved in such a situation and they aren't as bright as you'd expect them to be, no one communicates effectively. The patient suffers the most.

I do hope that I don't hear back from any of them anymore. For the first time, I actually felt good after speaking to one of these folks. Let's hope that it was my last.

R stands for reaching for my hand and his butt #AtoZchallenge

My guy considers me to be affectionate. He doesn't realize that he is equally as affectionate.

I tend to be the one who reaches to hold his hand whenever we are together. However, it is especially sweet when my guy does it in public.

When we got out of his car the other weekend, he didn't hesitate to take my hand and walk with me to Starbucks. It's simply a reflex reaction. He even helped me onto the sidewalk to get there. He's polite and sweet.

My guy also managed to get me many cartons of almond beverage that I love. While he was gathering them from his car's trunk, I helped myself to groping his butt. He looked over and smiled. He liked that a lot.

If any of my neighbours were looking, I'm sure that they got a nice view. I enjoyed groping him that day, which was followed by a long kiss and embrace. It was probably the most affection anyone has seen on my street for years!

L is for love #AtoZchallenge

After my guy and I had breakfast together at my friendly neighbourhood Starbucks, we walked out of the cafe holding hands. My guy stopped and was looking around.
"Do you know where you parked?" I asked him.
He was still standing there. I pulled him gently to where his car was. He laughed.
"Ah, there it is!" he said.
"That's why I am with you," I replied. "Can I drive your car?"
"Sure, if you want to," my guy replied.
"What? But you love your car," I replied, shocked that he said yes at long last.
"I love you more," he replied in his sweet way.
We kissed right in front of his car's trunk, still holding hands. I love when he misses me. He just oozes sweetness.

K is for kneading my butt #AtoZchallenge

I couldn't think of a better word. My guy groping my butt is the usual way that I would describe what he does. However, I am at the letter k. So, knead, it is!

On Saturday, as we were standing in line at Starbucks, my guy was groping my left buttock. I love when he does it. It shows how affectionate he is. It also turns me on. I immediately get wet.

My guy went to grope my right buttock.
"You're phone is in your right pocket," my guy observed.
"Yes, after you let me know that you had arrived, I slipped my phone in my right back pocket," I reasoned.
I took my phone out of my right pocket. He proceeded to grope my right buttock. It was nice.

J stands for jumping out of bed to talk to my guy #AtoZchallenge

My guy and I had talked about meeting on Saturday for some quality time. I was expecting to talk to him. However, things changed a bit.

I tend to sleep in on weekends. I enjoy it more these days, especially when work drains me.

Last Saturday, I woke up briefly at 09:30. I looked at the clock and went back to sleep.

I wear a Fitbit Alta tracker on my wrist. I get notifications whenever my cell phone rings.

I woke up just after 10:00 to my Alta vibrating on my wrist. I looked at my cell phone. It was my guy. I felt like I had jumped out of bed.
"Hey," I said, in a sleepy tone.
"Hey," he replied. "Did I wake you up?"
"Yep," I said.
"Sorry," he apologized.
"It's okay. What's up?" I asked him, trying to snap out of being in snoozyland.
"I was wondering if we could meet for breakfast instead. Unfortunately, I have to pick up my cousin downtown after my course," he explained.
"Okay. Where did you want to meet?" I asked him.
"I can come pick you up," he insisted. "We can have breakfast in your area."
"Okay. Let me think of a place to go," I replied.
"Great. I will start my drive," he said.
My guy was in downtown Toronto. It would take him about forty minutes to drive up to see me. I told him that it was sweet of him to come pick me up. It would also give me time to wake up and look presentable.

Sure enough, he called me once he was outside my house. I came outside and walked over to his car. He looked good in his blue sweater, jeans, and black coat.

We agreed to go to my local Starbucks, which was a five-minute drive away. It feels like my second home, as he knows how much I like frequenting the place. I had to give him turn-by-turn instructions while trying to snap out of sleepy mode. We held hands all the way.

When he parked, I gave him his belated birthday present. Coincidentally, I couldn't find a decent gift bag to fit all his goodies. Instead, I used a Starbucks paper bag.

He thanked me for the gifts and we kissed.
"Woo hoo! Woo hoo!" said the noise coming out of my coat pocket.
"Someone is happy," my guy said, smiling.
"It's my owl LED light on my keychain," I said, pulling it out and demonstrating.
"Woo hoo!"
My guy let me know that he had visited our favourite liquidation place on Friday and it finally had almond beverage in stock.
"I'm glad that it took the place a year to restock," I replied.
"I got you some boxes," he said.
"You're so sweet," I replied. "Oh, no. That means that you are going to upsell and make me pay $30! Stress!"
"I was joking back then. It's free for you, sweetie," he insisted.
"Okay. Thanks!" I said, smiling at him.
"I will bring your gift into Starbucks."
We both got out of the car, he grabbed my hand, and we walked over to Starbucks for breakfast. It was a nice way to start the day.

A couple means three to my local Starbucks barista

I am a regular at Starbucks. I don't drink coffee, though. I am there for tea and the occasional bakery item.

I decided to grab an iced green tea before I headed off to work. I ordered through the mobile app, which has been wonderful. I often get iced green tea without the lemonade. For some reason, at Canadian Starbucks locations, most baristas think that I want lemonade when I say that I want iced green tea. Um, no. Ordering through the mobile app has resolved this issue.

On Thursday, I felt like getting a donut. I don't eat donuts often. I used to do rotating shift work and we ate tons of them. I got sick of them. These days, if I eat a few in a year, I'm laughing. So, I ordered a donut on my app.

Two orders. Two items.

I headed over to my local Starbucks. It has a drive-thru. It's roughly a five-minute drive away from home.
"Hello, what can I get started for you?" asked the male barista.
"Hello. I am picking up a couple of orders for Cutiebootie," I said to the speakerbox.
"Through mobile order?" he asked me.
"Yes," I replied, puzzled that there is perhaps another ordering method before you arrive.
"Three orders?" he said in the form of a question.
"No, a couple means two. I have two items."
It amazes me that there are folks out there who do not know what a couple means. You guys make a lovely couple. There are two of you in a romantic relationship. If there were more, you'd have a threesome or a more-some.

I drove over to the window. Wait, it gets worse...
"Here are your three items," he said to me as he handed them over. "Your drink, your donut, and your straw."
"I still ordered two items," I replied.
"The straw made me think that it was three items," he explained.
"Okay. That's not what I had in mind."
So, when I order an iced green tea, I am actually ordering the straw as an item.

If I ordered a grande mint majesty tea, I can be potentially ordering a multitude of items:

  • Teabag
  • Honey
  • Sugar
  • Milk
  • Stir stick
  • Paper cup
  • Cup lid
  • Hot water
  • Napkin
When I order a grande tea, I am not ordering a single item. Oh, not at all. I am essentially ordering nine items. Wow, I get so much for so little. Incredible. NOT!

Storm, travel, and Turkish delight

My guy is here for a few days before he flies off to Istanbul for business this weekend. We both didn't see each other on Tuesday, due to the snowstorm.

The snowstorm was a bit disappointing. Both of us did not get the predicted accumulations in our respective neighbourhood. We both worked from home. The good news is that I am glad that I did. The winds were extremely gusty that it wouldn't have been worth it to do the commute to and from work.

As usual, my guy is sweet.
"What would you like from Istanbul?" he asked me.
"I just want you back in my arms," I replied.
"You always have me," he said sweetly. "Did you want some Turkish delight?"
"Sure. If there is raspberry, I'd like that."
He's thoughtful. He told me that he thinks of me fondly whenever he is at this airport. It was my first time in a fancy lounge that had leather seats, a movie area, and fresh popcorn.

I remember how he bought me a snack from Starbucks and how he had to ask me where the lounge was. My guy is the first to admit that he is directionally challenged. Luckily, I am different.

Keeping his word by spanking me

On Friday night, we had this conversation over the phone while we were both driving home in our respective cars:
"Starbucks is expensive," my guy remarked, favouring Tim Hortons more.
"Starbucks is good, just like me," I said.
"You are never good! I am going to punish you tomorrow," he replied.
"No, I'm a good girl. Maybe I shouldn't come see you," I teased.
"No, you will come and I will make you cum," he insisted.
"You want to see me because you miss me," I hinted.
"I miss punishing you," he pinpointed.
"You're so mean!" I replied.
He kept his word. I am sitting here with a sore backside. All is well!

Two phone calls to a good girl

It has been a while since my guy and I spoke over the phone. I can tell when he misses me. He doesn't have to blatantly state it. His calls say so much.

He called me after he had touched down, while he was waiting to go through security. We talked from that point to the baggage carousel where he picked up his luggage.
"Is that really you?" I answered his call.
"Yes," he replied. "You're on the road, as usual."
"I just left home to get a drink at Starbucks," I replied.
"That's so you," he said.
We chatted for a bit. It was nice to catch up. He was between flights. He flew in from Istanbul and he was off to some place in Mexico. I told him to get some rest, as it was a pretty long travel day for him.

Just before 20:00, he called me again.
"You must be on the plane," I replied.
"Yes, I am. I decided to call you to see how you're doing," he said.
"You're sweet. I hope that you can get some sleep on the plane," I stated.
"I will do my best."
I told him a brief story about being in Anaheim and how the Starbucks at the hotel that I was staying at was more a resort cafe. In other words, it charged more for everything and did not honour any Starbucks rewards.
"See, you must admit that it was a ripoff there," he teased me.
"It was. It's like when you tell me to admit that your jokes are funny and clever. Now, I need to admit that the products at that Starbucks were overpriced," I replied.
"Yes, you must admit all of that," he said, probably grinning.
"I admit that I am a good girl," I replied.
"That's one thing that you can't admit because it's untrue," he told me.
"You're still Mr. Meanie!" I exclaimed, with a slight whiny tone in my voice.
"Nothing has changed. I'm still Mr. Meanie," he stated.
"I'm glad."
At around 20:10, the announcement to turn off your cell phone happened on his flight. I wished him a safe flight and lots of sleep.

I miss him, but much less after speaking to him twice in a day.

Snow, David Bowie, and an afternoon date at Starbucks

It seems like ages since I last wrote. Between dealing with snow at long last and the sad passing of David Bowie, I have neglected blogging for a bit.

I was fortunate to see David Bowie once in Winnipeg. It was an amazing show at the old Winnipeg Arena. It must have been back in 2004. He was an amazing artist and musician. He also loved to read and had a wonderful sense of humour. He will be missed.

My guy is in Montreal for work. He's away for a good two weeks. He promised to buy me bagels. He's such a sweet guy.

We met up on Sunday at Starbucks. He calls it Stealbucks because he finds the prices inflated. However, he ordered a coffee that day, which kept him awake for his entire road trip to Montreal. So, his regard for the store is changing.

He actually arrived at Starbucks before I did. It was different. Normally, I am waiting for him. Anyway, I called him and said that I saw him in the parking lot. We got out of our cars. He walked over to me. We then walked over to the cafe.

He gave me a side hug. He also gave me several lovetaps on my left buttocks I loved that.

He ordered a coffee and a croissant. I had a mint tea with a cinnamon swirl coffee cake. We sat at a table in a quaint little corner of the cafe, laughed, chatted, ate, drank, and held hands. It was nice. He looked good in his new wool coat.
"Can we cuddle for fifteen or twenty minutes?" my guy asked me.
"I'd love to, but you're on a tight driving schedule," I replied.
"It's okay. I have time," he said.
We held hands walking out of Starbucks. It was a nice little date that we went on.

Brown M&M's image on my cell phone's lock screen and legs

I am a fan of the M&M's characters. It made sense to me to have a new M&M's wallpaper for my new cell phone's lock screen. I decided to use this one, courtesy of M&M's:

I showed my guy the photo at lunch the other day, which sparked this conversation:
"I like this photo. She reminds me of me. I have the same type of glasses. I also like going to Starbucks," I told my guy.
"Yes. You are also sophisticated and stylish like she is," my guy explained.
"Really? Are you sure that you have the right girl?" I asked him.
"I am positive," my guy replied. "You have nicer legs that she does, though."
My guy is sweeter than the candy-coated chocolate that never melts in your hands.

From flight to teaching, and an automatic punishment

Last night, I drove over to my local Starbucks to get a slice of apple pound cake. Well, it's more like a circular apple pound cake. I like it a lot. It's both comforting and yummy.

In the same parking lot, there was a car with steamed-up windows. That sight made me smile. You could see an arm or two come up slightly now and again. It made me reflect on the numerous treehouse times that my guy and I have had. Sure, it isn't the most private location to be intimate, but it sure beats lying on the ground!

The other night, my guy and I talked over Skype.
"I'm back in the office in a week," my guy explained.
"That week feels like forever," I admitted, obviously missing him.
"I know. It won't be too long," my guy reassured.
"I wish I could meet you at the airport, but you don't have much time," I pointed out, as he gets off the plane to immediately teach a course.
"You know that as soon as I see you that I have to punish you," he hinted.
"Perhaps I should show up at the arrivals level," I remarked, which made him laugh.
"With your cute bottom exposed?" he asked me.
"I am sure the security folks would have an issue with me if I did that," I said, smiling.
It's less than a week now. At least I get to see him at the office for the whole week in a few days, so I'm pleased.

Meeting my guy for lunch as a stop on his trip eastbound and getting a punishment threat

My guy drove to Montreal for business a couple of Sundays ago. He wanted to do lunch with me en route. I was game.

My guy called me at around noon. He sounded sleepy, which worried me.
"You sound like you just got out of bed," I remarked.
"I did, pretty much," he replied.
"That worries me," I admitted.
"I'm in Mississauga," he stated.
"Oh, geez. You have been on the road for an hour!" I calculated.
We agreed to meet at a Starbucks in Scarborough. It is located just off highway 401, so it was perfect for him. As for me, getting to this location would take me fifteen minutes.

I could hear my guy drive away with a dinging noise in the background.
"Put your seatbelt on," I told him politely.
"You can hear that?" my guy remarked.
"Of course," I said. "Good, the warning chiming has stopped."
He chuckled. He knows that I mean well.

I saw him an hour later. He had missed my text message with the exact address. He was going on the exit information that I had given to him, but saw my text after stopping at a gas station close by the Starbucks to fuel his car up.

We met just outside of Starbucks. When we had talked, we both weren't too hungry. However, we were now. We decided to try out the restaurant across from Starbucks. My guy and I held hands as we cut across the parking lot.

We had a good brunch. He went with the Spanish omelette. I went with French toast with strawberries. Both dishes were larger than we had anticipated, but were yummy.

My guy broke the news to me that he had finally put down money towards a pre-owned manual car. I was pleased. He showed me photos. It looked nice.
"So, I get to drive it, right?" I said, teasing him.
"If you get manual driving lessons, I'd be happy to pay for them. Then, we'll see," he said with a grin.
Later on, my guy was complaining about something. I also tease him about his whining.
"Don't make me drive your manual car!" I threatened him, which actually made him stop whining temporarily.
Anyway, my guy perked up. It was probably a combination of seeing me, having food in his stomach, and downing a cup of coffee.

We left about 1.5 hours later. My guy asked me where my car was.
"Do I always have to point it out to you?" teased my directionally challenged guy as he squeezed my hand.
"At least I know where you car is. It's right there!" I said, pointing it out in the fairly busy parking lot.
We walked me over to my car like the true gentleman that he is.
"Give me a hug," my guy said, with his arms extended.
"What happens if I don't?" I asked him after I was in his embrace, hugging him back.
"Well, you'll get punished so hard that you won't be able to sit down for a couple of days," my guy stated casually.
I wished him a safe drive. He blew me a kiss and we parted ways.
