Donating shoes and clothes to folks who need them more

At work, there is a drive to donate gently used shoes for those who are in need of them. I learned about this drive late last week and was hoping that it would stick around. It did.

I found a pair of sneakers that I have never worn. Rather than having them sit at home, taking up space, I donated them.

I felt good placing my shoes in the bin, hoping that someone will put them to good use. It was an uplifting feeling of doing something good.

I need to donate more. I went through this phase several years ago with clothes. It's probably time to do it again.

Sweet guy with thoughtful gifts

My guy never ceases to amaze me. He is a great gift-giver.

He normally asks me what I would like for either my birthday or Christmas. I tend to give him a couple of suggestions. For my birthday, I suggested getting a glass knot. It's a beautiful glass-blown knot with various colours. The one that he got me has blue, green, and white in an eternal knot that signifies love and longevity.

I indicated a while back that he was sweet to try and replace my broken evil eye bracelet. He got me another one, except that the bracelet's length was too short. I indicated that we both have the same bracelet size. He remembered what it was today, which was impressive.

During that conversation, we also had a talk about ring size. My guy, who admits that he is horrible at buying jewellery, bought me a pretty silver ring, with a blue gemstone in the middle, and some crystals on either side of the gem. It looks like an evil eye!

At first, my guy was concerned that it was too snug on my finger. I told him that it was perfect. I simply haven't worn a ring in years. I pointed out that my ring finger was the same colour as all my other fingers, so it wasn't cutting off my circulation!

I love his thoughtful gifts. More importantly, I love him in my life.

Gifts and appreciation

I like my co-op students. I have three of them for this workterm, which is a record number for me.

On Monday, I met with them and gave them small gifts from my Shanghai travels. I tried to get a couple of items that were made or from China. We joke fairly often that most materialistic items come from this country. However, I truly was looking for items that they would like from China.

I got them each a bag of loose leaf jasmine tea. From China? Check. It's fragrant and helps reduce stress, among other things.

My other gift sounds odd. I found the Hershey's Store in Shanghai. I got milk chocolate in the shape of small balls. They were housed in a beautiful Hello Kitty tin with no English on it. You had a mountain behind Hello Kitty with Chinese characters on the tin. Perfect!

On Thursday, they mentioned how yummy the chocolate was and how much they appreciated the gifts that I had given them. They didn't see it coming, which is the best type of gift that I enjoy dishing out.

A spanking is an excellent gift suggestion

The other day, I finally got around to listing gift suggestions for my guy. He requested a list of items that I'd like for Christmas.

Although I feel that he is a great gift-giving guy (say that fast a few times), he always feels at ease when I point out what I'd like.

I'm frankly happy that I have him. It was my first answer when he asked me what I wanted for Christmas.

Anyway, I thought of a few items that he can get locally. The last gift on my list was a good spanking from him. It's my favourite gift that he gives to me. I enjoy receiving it all year long.

Art, students, and learning

Things are good, but busy. My guy and I continue to chat on Skype while he is away on business, which makes us less miserable while we are apart.

Today's post is different. Since early May, I have been working closely with two co-op students. I have trained them and guided them through a number of work tasks.

Perhaps I am in the wrong field. Part of me is thinking that I should have become a teacher. Instead, I drifted from being a mathematician, to a computer scientist, to a writer.

It's funny how things happen. I have no regrets about being a writer. I enjoy it. I also get to explain in writing how to do tasks, which benefits the reader.

I have been told that I am a good teacher by my last two student interns. It's a nice feeling.

This internship is the first one that I have supervised in which we have two interns. It has been wonderful seeing their progress and how they have become stronger writers.

One impressed me so much that I decided to nominate her for an intern award. She finally got the word last Friday. She wrote a lovely, heartfelt e-mail to me. It is one of those e-mails that you want to print out and never delete.

The other intern showed how giving she is. She had a number of tickets to various tourist sites. However, she couldn't go. She offered them to me. This past Tuesday, I decided to book the day off and go to an art exhibit that I have wanted to attend for a while.

I was thankful that she asked me if I wanted to go. Although it would have been nice if she had the opportunity to go to the museum and see all the art exhibits, I bought her a book showing all the beautiful artifacts that I had experienced. The book also came with a DVD. She was elated.

It's nice to make the day of folks that you work closely with. They have also taught me so much in return. The learning experience has been enriching for all of us.

H is for a hug and a hard spanking

My birthday is next month. This year is just flying by!

For the last couple of Christmases, my guy has asked me what sorts of gifts I would like. He is a pretty good gift giver. However, he thinks that I am the ultimate gift giver. I have told him that I love how thoughtful his gifts are and that he shouldn't be comparing. He also likes to retain as many brain cells as he can, so I give him a list.

It is the reverse for my birthday. He has never asked my for a list. If he did, it would be something like the following:

  • At least a hug. Not only do I want one, but I need one. A nice warm hug from my guy is the best gift.
  • A spanking, preferably a hard one. I'm not fussy whether it is over a pair of shorts, panties, or across my bare backside. I just want a hard spanking by him because I deserve one.
As for material gifts, I don't need anything. I would rather have my guy gift himself to me and let me unwrap him.

Spanking, anyone?

I have been without a spanking partner for quite some time. I feel like I am out of practice.

I like to both give and receive spankings, but would like to get back into the swing of things (okay, that pun was kind of intended) by spanking someone who deserves it. I'm not looking for sex here. I'm all about spanking.

If you are in the greater Toronto area and are interested, let me know. If your birthday is coming up, I'd love to give you some birthday smacks. Or, if you've been naughty, I can fix that with a good over-the-knee spanking. Just drop me a line.

Geez, has it been nearly three months since I last wrote?

Yikes! Time does fly by when I'm busy. I'm still figuring out my new job. Well, it's not exactly new, now that I've been with the company for just over four months. I still don't know what I do, though. It'll take some time to understand it all!

I have started my graduate studies, which is the main reason why I haven't updated my blog all that often. I've got a bit of a break now, thank goodness! I must tell you now that I have four assignments due within the next six months. After that, I should be posting more on my blog. When I mean more, I can't guarantee that it'll be every week, but it certainly won't be three months later!

Perhaps I should get a firm paddling for taking this long to post. It's a fitting punishment!

The other day, I did give my hubby, G, a nice over-the-knee spanking. I had asked him to proofread an assignment that I was going to hand in the following day. He had made changes to the first two pages, but didn't bother to edit the last two pages. I reread my paper and noticed that he had missed several major grammatical errors.

Technically, I should be the one over his knee. He should truly give me five swats on my bare bottom for every grammatical error that I had made. However, the onus was on him to correct my mistakes. So, it was fitting for me to spank him.

I started playfully spanking his backside with my hand over his underwear. I then lowered them and spanked him with my bare right hand, with my left forearm holding him down. We both enjoyed the spanking, with my telling him to be more consistent with his editing and pointing out that he should be more thorough.

I think the spanking help. He finished editing my paper and I incorporated the changes.

I think with my next paper, I will deliberately screw up my spelling, punctuation, and grammar, so I can get a sound spanking from him. That shouldn't be too long of a wait. My next assignment is due in less than two weeks.
