Spank me, it's Valentine's Day

A friend of mine posted this photo on Valentine's Day:

I like it, although I didn't have anyone to spank me on this day.

You have probably noticed that I haven't talked about anything about spanking as of late. I'm just not in the mood. I realize that it's tough when you don't have someone to spank you. Self-spanking hasn't been gratifying as of late.

However, it's little pick-me-ups like this one that help a bit.

Quiet day thanks to snow

It snowed for most of the day on Tuesday. I went out briefly before lunch to fetch some food and buy a few items when the snow took a brief break. As I drove back to the hotel, it started to snow again.

It was nice spending some quiet time in my room. I watched a lot of TV, took a nap, ate and drank, and had me time.

I love being on vacation. It's getting cold here, so staying indoors isn't a bad thing.

Stronger - then and now

When Kelly Clarkson's song, Stronger, came out back in 2011, it became my anthem on multiple levels.

I was dealing with a colleague who was incompetent. It seems to still be the trend at my workplace these days. This guy was originally my manager. He had issues doing his job. Sleeping on the job will do that. Eventually, he made enemies with everyone, including me, and decided to leave the company.

I was going a back issue during this ordeal. I ended up getting back surgery to remove a disk that was causing a ton of numbness and pressure down my right leg. My guy and I became a couple just before I had surgery. Stronger became my song to get better and be my best self.

Frankly, I stopped tearing up a week ago. I was driving home from work and Stronger came on the radio. The lyrics hit me. It's okay to be sleep alone. The bed does feel warmer. It doesn't mean that I am over because you're gone.

It's trying to find the person that I was before the relationship. I have found her. I am hopefully wiser after this relationship, but I am strong and I will be okay.

In a past post, I had mentioned that I deserve better. I do, both in a romantic relationship and in a friendship. I am perfectly fine walking away from my friendship with him. I don't need to deal with his indecisiveness.

Last Friday, we had lunch together. There were a couple of hints that he still has feelings for me, but I didn't act on them.
"I have always loved your purple nail polish," he said.
"It's not the same colour. The one that you are referring to is long gone. I used the bottle up," I replied.
As we walked out of the restaurant, he touched my lower back. He hasn't done that in ages. I am thinking that it is habit more than anything.

When we got to the office, I simply said, "See you whenever," and walked away. It's exactly how I feel. I am not waiting for you. I don't want us to get back together. It's over. I am moving on and seeking someone who loves and respects me.

As for diving into a relationship, I'm not ready yet. I am going to enjoy some time to myself. If something happens, I'll figure it out then. Right now, I can't handle being in a relationship.

Long day, tired me, and more

One word to describe my day on Friday: long

One word to describe how I feel: tired

I'll be back with a longer post when I get more sleep.

B is for being me #AtoZchallenge

I have a unique relationship with my manager. We have a respectful employee-manager work relationship. It has also developed into a friendship, which still feels new to me.

Last Thursday, I had my performance review for 2016. Don't ask why it came so late. My company is messed up that way.

When it came down to what I could do to improve, my manager polled a rather toxic individual who naturally gave negative feedback. He hinted that both he and I dislike this person.

I flat out told him how I felt. This person seems to always have something negative to say about me and cannot back up her comments with factual information. She is highly toxic and is probably acting this way because I seem to be a threat to her. I ended saying that I would take her statement with a grain of salt, as she doesn't even know me.

I never asked why my manager asked this individual for feedback. We don't work closely with each other. After saying my two cents, he nodded in agreement.

My performance review was positive. My manager confided in me. He said that there are two writers whom he can count on to meet deadlines and get our work done. I am one of them, which is a nice compliment. The other compliment was that I was the only one on the team who received a comment saying that my work is of high quality.

The younger me would have been upset over the toxic woman's negative remarks. The person writing this blog post now is not. I am pleased with my performance at work. I balance the workload of at least two writers. These days, it seems like three. I will not let one idiot's negative remarks with no factual information to back her accusations up dampen my spirit.

I like who I am and how far I have come. It's good to grow.

Spank me, please

I drove home on a foggy Saturday night and heard Ray Parker Jr's "Bad Boy" on Sirius XM.

There is a lyric about spanking in this song. Naturally, I'd like my guy to spank me. I'm due.

I wrote about this song a while back. It still holds true. When I look back at the early 80's, this song was rather daring!

Unicorns

Renee Rose has nominated my blog for the Meta Awesomest Blog Unicorn award! Thank you so much!

Meta Awesomest Blog Unicorn award

It has taken me a bit of time to write a post about it, but I'd rather be late than to completely forget about it. Sometimes, life gets busy, so being a bit late is okay!

So, the award rules are as follows:
  1. Include the award logo somewhere in your blog
  2. Answer 10 questions you have about yourself.
  3. Nominate 10 to 12 blogs you enjoy. Or you pick the number.
  4. Pay the love forward: Provide your nominee’s link in your post and comment on their blog to let them know they’ve been included and invited to participate.
  5. Pay the love back with gratitude and a link to the bloggers who nominated you.
Here are ten random tidbits about me that you may have already figured out from reading my blog:
  1. I like to give and receive spankings. With the ex-husband, we were both switches, although he seemed to like to get spanked than spank me towards the end (no pun intended) of our marriage. My guy spanks me these days. He is open to receiving a spanking, but I have not pressured him into it. When he is ready, I will be, too. For now, I enjoy being spanked by him, so all is good.
  2. I have lived in two Canadian provinces and spent two years working in the United States. I am Canadian and never expected to move to a different country for employment, but am certainly glad that I had that opportunity.
  3. I am a writer by trade. However, the professional writing that I do has a completely different style than how I write in this blog. I also write in this blog in the wee hours of the morning, so expect typos that will get fixed when I am more alert down the road!
  4. Growing up, I was a tomboy. I still feel that I am. My guy is extremely supportive and encouraging. These days, I am comfortable with wearing sexy underwear and short skirts for him. They were his suggestions, but he has never forced them on me. I just want to make things fun for us and I like feeling good in them.
  5. I was never spanked as a child. I was always a goody-goody. I was the geeky girl who never did anything wrong. I suppose that is one reason why I enjoy being spanked. It turns me on when my guy tells me that I have been naughty, simply because it is not the case in real life. I enjoy being bad. It's kind of my "dark side," according to my guy. He likes that side of me.
  6. The thought of having anal sex both intrigues and scares me. My guy and I are novices. For the past few months, he has been fingering my butt, which we both enjoy. So, we are taking baby steps. I like the idea of being spanked and then engaging in anal sex. I wonder how it would feel for have his balls rubbing against my backside as I am pleasured from behind. What scares me is the pain that I may experience, for my guy's member isn't exactly tiny. Again, we're taking baby steps.
  7. It's related to point 3, but I tend to blog after midnight. I tend to shower late at night. After I'm done, I feel relaxed and am in a blogging mood.
  8. I am a music enthusiast. I have over 19,000 songs on my iPod. My guy likes music, but he isn't a fanatic like I am!
  9. My guy is the first guy I have dated who is taller than I am. He is 6'. I am 5'10".
  10. I can't stand listening to my recorded voice. When I pick up my voicemail and hear my voice recording, I have to immediately skip over it. It's strange, but I have been told that I have a nice voice. I just can't stand having it played back. I literally cover my ears and want to curl up in the fetal position until the pain subsides.
I would love to nominate someone for this cool award, but I am horrible at having so many great options to choose from. Seriously, anyone on my blogroll is worthy of this award. So, if you're on my blog, please feel free to participate. I would enjoy reading your answers and being in your award company!
