- Place gummy bears in an air-tight container.
- Fill the container with your favourite rum (I used Cruzan coconut rum) such that it barely covers the gummies and stir.
- Let them soak overnight.
- Take them out of the boozy solution to dry and bounce back to gummy form.
- Eat!

Making chili from scratch, but with a kit
On Sunday, I made chili that came in a small kit. It included raw beans that required soaking overnight.
I see why I like buying canned beans to make chili. I don't have to deal with soaking them, simmering them, and then getting to the actual chili-making phase. I went through the whole process and my chili turned out well.
Frankly, I like making my own chili. I can control the sodium in it. I used a chili flavour pack that came with this kit and it had more salt than I was used to.
The chili tasted a lot better a few hours later. I imagine that it will be fabulous later on today. I made a lot and it's so filling. I may change things up and make nachos with some of it.
I have two more weeks before there's a long weekend. I am enjoying not doing as many online Zoom calls. It's so much better to use see the world as safely as possible.

Stopping hunger pangs and getting soaked in the rain
The sky was grey. I risked it and didn't bring my umbrella. Bad move.
When I left the restaurant, it was pouring outside. I was parked roughly 200 metres away and was soaked by the time I got into my car. Ah, what fun!
At least I got some volume in my hair once it dried, thanks to my car's air conditioning.

Eating my way through Friday and getting soaked in a downpour
At work, we have a special lunch at the beginning of each month. Those who have birthdays during that month get lunch paid for by the company. I end up expensing these lunches, although I have trained another writer to help me out.
We went to an East Indian restaurant. The food was good. However, it was strange that we all had to dip into a small, communal salad. It was definitely a different experience.
What I didn't like was that the server showed me an itemized list of what we had ordered on her iPad mini, which was the list of items that I would ultimately expense. However, when she printed out this itemized list, a gratuity was added. I noticed this after I had paid for our meals and included a tip. I ended up double-tipping. Ugh! So much for disclosing this detail...
After work, I decided to take part in a local ribfest. I haven't been for several years. It has changed venues. I got a ribs and chicken combo, with cornbread and baked beans as sides.
Unfortunately, I got caught in a downpour of rain. It was to the point where I had to take shelter in a restaurant. My entire front-facing self was soaked in rain. The backside of me was completely dry!
So, I waited in the lobby of this restaurant (I don't know what the name is, but I must thank the place for housing me and others) for forty minutes. I was going to eat my dinner at home. However, all this waiting made me hungry. It was a first for me to eat food that was not offered in the restaurant in said restaurant's lobby.
The food was delicious. When I noticed that the rain was easing and the sun was starting to break out, I headed out to my car. I was parked a couple of huge blocks away. I had to walk through a flooded part of the parking lot. Oh, joy!
There is never a dull moment in my life, especially when it comes to eating yummy food.

I is for inclemate weather
I tend to take a toll highway to get to work during the morning rush hour. Taking the regular highway 401 means wearing out my car's tires due to constant braking, cursing at horrible drivers, and basically crawling along to get to work. Even with the downpour, I managed to go well below the 100 km/h speed limit (80) on the toll highway and still manage to get to work before 09:00.
The rain finally eased by the time I was at the office. Figures!
The other day, I was in my car when my guy called me. We talked. Then, he heard the rain coming down hard against my car's windshield.
"I can really hear the rain," he remarked. "You're safe, right?"When I think of rain and my guy, I think of our trip to Stockholm and getting caught in the rain while on a tour bus. It was fun hearing my guy whine. It felt wonderful holding each other tight and using the umbrella to keep us dry.
"Yes, I am sitting comfortably in my car," I replied.
Rain is kind of romantic. I don't mean kissing in the rain necessarily. It's not attractive looking and feeling soggy. However, making out in the treehouse or anywhere indoors while the rain gentle falls outside is nice.
Of course, showering together is completely different. It's both playful and sensual. My guy loves to lather me up and play with me. I enjoy doing the same to him, along with kissing him under the shower head.
My guy is sweet. After we're done showering, he likes to wrap me up in a bath towel. Of course, he can also quickly undo the towel, put me over his lap, and spank me hard.
Naturally, more fun ensues after that.
