Travelling in December and January

The other night, I booked my first flight in over 1.5 years. I am flying to the States just before Christmas. I'm spending three weeks there.

I am hoping that it'll still be safe to travel by then. I am there to attend three hockey games and to pay my respects to my friend.

I am contemplating whether I want to fly in late November. I can see two hockey games and work away from home, but away from home, if you catch my drift.

A productive Sunday

I had a productive Sunday. I tend to cook in the morning. I made a batch of French toast to enjoy throughout the week. The bread has no sugar, which is great.

I also made mini turkey quiches. I'm still using up my leftover turkey, and added spinach and cheese to the egg mixture. They turned out better than I had expected.

My dad needed me to help book a doctor's appointment for him. Everything is done online and he isn't there. He's booked for a phone appointment later on today.

I also finished filing tax returns for my parents. He gave me all tax receipts on Easter Monday and wondered why I hadn't done them on Thursday. I have to work. I do my best tax work on the weekend when I'm not pressured. It was odd. Our tax deadline is always at the end of April, so I didn't understand why he felt like rushing things.

Sadly, the weekend is over. Here's to a new workweek!

Theory about a mysterious gift last Christmas

Just before Christmas, I received a book from an anonymous person. I saw the Amazon Prime sticker on the box and thought that it was something that I had ordered that had arrived. I ripped the box open and still don't know who sent me this book.

I have been thinking that it may have been the ex-guy. He has an Amazon Prime membership. He obviously knows where I live. I haven't communicated with him since I told him to stop contacting me last July. He has never mentioned anything about this book. He likely got confirmation that the shipment was delivered and was satisfied with that information.

The book? It's The Longevity Paradox by Steven R. Gundry. It's essentially a book about how to live a long, healthy, happy life.

Perhaps the ex felt guilty that he broke my heart and ruined a part of my life that this book would help me. Maybe he truly wants me to live a longer, happier life.

Anyway, I haven't read much from it. I suppose that I should and see if I do grow old, happy, and healthy.

Cookbook and charging adapter from Amazon Prime Days

I participated in my first Amazon Prime Days event. I typically don't have a thing to buy. However, there were a few things that I wanted this year.

One was a vegan recipe book. I'm not vegan. The fact that the recipes are dairy-free suit me, as I'm borderline lactose-intolerant.

I got a charging adapter that has more electrical outlets, including three USB ports. I installed it in the basement.

This charging adapter is perfect. It has a screw that stays put when plugged into the wall outlet. I needed it and solves my issue with any plug that wouldn't stay plugged in. Yay!

My ex and his YouTube channel

I feel that I need to get rid of my ex-guy as a connection on LinkedIn. It's good that he was never interested in social media, so distancing myself from him on those platforms after he broke my heart has been easy.

He isn't on LinkedIn much. Neither am I. I go on there once every month or two. Well, in my feed wiht twenty notifications was a post from him. He invited people to look at his YouTube channel where he does book reviews.

My eyes rolled. They rolled hard. I checked one video out. I stopped after a minute.

He isn't the guy I fell in love with. All I see is an insensitive jerk who only contacts me these days when he's horny. He looks sincere in the video. I know better. It's a facade.

It took him a year to post these videos. He actually posted these videos in August 2019. I don't know why it took him a year to promote his channel.

I'm glad that he has a hobby. I simply don't want to hear about it.

Book on coping with a breakup and periodic thoughts about my ex-guy

A few weeks ago, I bought a book on how to cope with a breakup. I started reading the first chapter, but got busy with a couple of trips. The chapter that I did read put me at ease.

My problem isn't keeping busy. From being on vacation, and being out and about, to getting through work tasks, I don't have a chance to think about my ex-guy.

The problem occurs when I am not busy. My mind floats over to the loving moments that we had together, as well as the fact that I deserved better towards the end of our relationship. Before I go to bed, I think of him. When I am driving home and my commute is nothing to sneeze at, he pops up in my head. It just happens.

I didn't have this issue with my ex-hubby. The difference is that I loved my ex-guy. I fell out of love with the ex-hubby.

I am far from being over him. Baby steps. Gone is my mild anxiety about us not being a couple, which is a positive sign.

This weekend, I hope to read more chapters out of this book. Perhaps my memories and thoughts of him will slowly subside.

Fun weekend with friends and upcoming vacation

It has been a good weekend. I got together with a couple of friends on Saturday. I was out for practically the entire day, which was the main reason why I didn't have anything to post here. I was tired from being out and about.

I still have moments of sadness. They mostly happen at night, just before I fall asleep.

Last week, I received my book on how to handle a breakup. I need to find time to read it. I am off on vacation starting this upcoming weekend, so it'll give me some time to relax, unwind, and read.

Weekends are way too short. Luckily, it's my last workweek before I can make this upcoming one much longer.

7 Habits of Highly Effective people and spanking

The weekend went flying by. I am pleased that I got to sleep in.

This week, I get to go back to my regularly scheduled program of working from home for a couple of days. Here's hoping that I can get some quiet work done.

My guy is teaching a course based on The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, written by Franklin Covey. I read this book in my mid-twenties. It's nice that my guy is applying it to engineering and the Information Technology fields.

We had a fun talk the other day about it:
"Do you think you could apply it to spanking me?" I asked him.
"Sure. The first habit is being proactive. I'd be proactive spanking you daily," he said.
"That sounds good. Habit two is beginning with the end in mind. You begin spanking my end," I said.
"Yes, that's for sure," he laughed.
I like when we are funny.

Trip-planning is nearly done

Our plane tickets and car rentals are booked. I'm joining my guy a day after he arrives in Dallas and a day before his course ends. We are both pleased.

He had originally sent me his itinerary on Monday. I didn't get anything, so I asked him about it on Tuesday. I finally got it and was able to book everything. His bookings go through the company. Mine is obviously personal.

We are both looking forward to spending some time with each other.

Booking flight, train, and cell phone plan for European work trip

On Wednesday, I spent roughly half my workday booking my flight and train tickets for my upcoming work trip. I dislike how strict certain rules imposed by my company are.

My destination is a remote part of Sweden. It's actually more convenient to fly into Copenhagen and then take a train to this town.

I booked my flight. Going to Copenhagen was fine. The challenge is booking a flight back home, keeping in mind that the train ride to get back to the airport is three hours.

I wanted to take an afternoon flight. This flight selection got flagged by the travel booking system that I was using as being more expensive than the recommended flight. So, my departure schedule consists of taking the first train out on a Saturday at 6 am and getting to Copenhagen airport by 9 am. I then have two hours to board my flight.

It's doable, provided that everything is on time. I don't like travelling under tight circumstances.

The roughest part of my travel plans is actually after I land at Copenhagen airport. I have two hours to find the train station. Normally, it's one train to this town. On this particular weekend, it's a train-bus-train route. Each segment is roughly an hour. I have eleven minutes to transfer. Again, I hope that it's enough time. Luckily, all three segments run practically every hour.

I also went ahead and got a SIM card for my phone. It comes with a gigabyte of data and a fixed number of minutes for calls. I can use it anywhere in Europe, so it'll cover my Denmark-Sweden visit just fine. It should get to me in a week.

I don't mind researching travel route and plans. They are definitely more enjoyable when I am planning a vacation than a work trip!

Hotel, gifts,and lots of kisses

On Thursday, I drove to my guy's town. The drive wasn't bad, as I had bypassed most of the ugly rush-hour traffic. I also have a hunch that other folks have taken this week off, like I have.

I checked in at the hotel room at 16:30. I then went to grab a pizza and more, and came back to the hotel.

My guy called me. He was commuting and said that he'd drop by at 20:00. I was thrilled.

I wore a cold-shoulder top, which he has seen me in once before. I had my skirt ready. I had asked him to call me when he was close by. He completely forgot. Instead, I was wearing shorts when he got to the hotel. They still worked.

After he knocked on my door, I let him in and we hugged tightly. I always feel good in his arms.

He took off his winter gear (it has been -22°C during the day, with a windchill that makes it feel more like -30°C) and we moved over to the loveseat.

He was sweet to have brought a couple of gifts for me. The first was a small, cuddly owl plush. I love it! The other was a pressure cooker cookbook. I didn't have a chance to leaf through it. My guy was too busy kissing me all over.

It's amazing how much he misses me. I've missed him, too.

Horn-y with gifts, including a wooden paddle

My guy and I are punny people. We also have a fun sense of humour.
"I love my winter tires. I don't know why I held out. It's great driving. So much grip on the road," I remarked.
"I would like to simulate the same thing with your boobs. More grip is great," my guy said, grinning.
We wanted some quality time after lunch. We often joke that it's my guy's let's-go-let's-go spirit that makes things fun.

We got into my guy's car. It has been a while since we were in his treehouse. It was cold, as it has been a colder-than-normal winter so far. My guy got out of the treehouse and had to head over to the driver's side to start his car. He accidentally hit the horn.
"You're so horn-y," I said.
Eventually, he started his car up and got back into the treehouse.

He had purchased my Christmas gifts. He's thoughtful and sweet. He got me the following:

  • Jann Arden's "Feeding my Mother," which is a hardcover book
  • A ceramic owl bobblehead that I had hinted about wanting a few months ago
  • A sturdy wooden paddle
We had a chat about the wooden paddle.
"It's solid and huge," I replied.
"Yes, it's enough to smack both your cheeks at the same time," he remarked.
"It's going to hurt," I replied.
"Of course. It's perfect for my bad girl," he hinted.
More on its effectiveness in my next post.

Boxing Day, cuddling, gifts, and reading

Happy Boxing Day! I normally don't go out on Boxing Day for sales. It's too crazy dealing with aggressive shoppers. I also don't have anything I truly need to get.

The other day, while my guy and I were cuddling, he asked his usual question.
"What would you like for Christmas?" he asked me. "I'm late, as always."
"I know. I have your presents already," I cited. "You've been travelling, so you have a good reason."
Naturally, my gift was having him to myself when he came off the plane and drove to the hotel to spend some time together. I truly have all that I need.

Frankly, I feel like I don't read as much as I should.
"I don't have Jann Arden's latest book," I replied. "It's a hardcover one."
"I didn't realize that she was an author," my guy admitted, as he knows that I love her music.
"Yes, she is. I have all her books so far, but haven't got around to picking up this one."
I have two weeks off from work. It's the perfect time to curl up and read when it's all white outside.

Reading Grey in the doctor's office and thinking about ben wa balls

I had my quarterly doctor's appointment on Wednesday afternoon. I work from home on Wednesdays, so it isn't a big deal for me to work an extra couple of hours or so, to make up for my time away.

As expected, my doctor was running late. I was the first appointment after lunch, too.

I do come prepared. I have done everything from playing games on my phone to actually doing work on my laptop.

This time, I decided to pull out my Kobo app and read a book. I am more than halfway through reading Grey, which is essentially the Fifty Shades of Grey book, except that it is written from Christian Grey's perspective. I got it on sale just after Christmas.

Before my doctor came to see me, I was reading the part where Christian inserts ben wa balls in Ana, and then spank her across his knee with his hand. He first spanked her over her black lacy panties with his bare hand and then took them down to continue spanking her.

Before he spanked her, he tucked her hair behind her ear. He wanted to see her expression after each smack. He also kissed her backside afterwards.

All these details are reminiscent of what my guy and I do. I like wearing lacy black panties. He likes to spank me with them on and then eventually giving me a hard bare-bottomed spanking. He is known to kiss my backside sweetly after a spanking. He also likes seeing my reaction during a spanking.

The only difference? Ben wa balls. We don't own a set. Perhaps we should.

My doctor took my blood pressure. Luckily, reading Grey didn't affect my blood pressure. Instead, it made me feel aroused and happy.

Flights are booked for upcoming vacation -- just need to pack a paddle and oral gel

My guy is travelling home today. I can't wait to see him on Monday.

It's a rough weekend for him. Not only does he have to travel and adjust to the regular time difference. As an added bonus, it's Daylight Saving Time. He has to sprint ahead an hour, just for kicks.

He did manage to send me a quick e-mail yesterday. He has booked his flight to and from Seattle. Within the hour, I had booked the same flight segments as he.

Seating is strange. I managed to get a seat next to his on three out of our four segments. The seats are exactly what I have specified online through the Web site. When I use this particular airline's app, it says otherwise. Perhaps it's a database synching issue.

Anyway, I am happy that we will be travelling and spending a week together at the end of the month. I just finished booking my car rental. I just have to pack important items, such as a leather paddle and fruit-flavoured oral sex gel.

It'll be fun. We are travelling on his birthday, so we get to celebrate when we get there. I'm so excited!

March questions: Travel, favourite time of the year, books vs. e-readers, and kinks

Questions in March continue. They are a ton of fun to answer! This batch of questions comes from Ronnie:
Do you prefer to drive or fly when travelling?
I like both methods! I love to do road trips. The longest road trip that I have taken was driving from Toronto eastbound, through almost all the Atlantic provinces, except for Newfoundland and Labrador. I then took a ferry from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia to Portland, Maine. I then drove through the United States, making my way back home. It was fabulous!
I am a frequent flyer. I have no problems being on a plane, except for folks next to me who either hog the armrest or who elbow me. The latter annoys me more because I am ticklish. These days, I tend to visit European countries. I have only been to four countries so far and have plenty left to explore. This year, I hope to visit Shanghai.
What's your favourite time of year?
What a great question! I like early summer, because the snow is finally behind me! I love late summer and early fall. I like how warm it gets before change comes. There's a crispness in the air that I find comforting. It's just nice.
Do you prefer to read actual books or use an e-reader?
I sort of hinted about my preference when I had answered Han's question the other day. I prefer a physical newspaper or book. I suppose that I am old-fashioned that way because I like the feel of the pages between my fingers.
I don't mind reading a book with an e-reader. It's convenient when you're on a plane or public transportation. I would sooner support my local library or bookstore by getting books, though.
Do you have other kinks other than spanking?
This question is similar to the one that Han had posed. Great minds think alike! I like light bondage. My guy and I are still exploring it. So far, it has been pleasurable and fun for both of us.
If you'd like to ask me a question or more, please feel free to leave them in the Comments section. Thanks!

A dinner date and more...

On Thursday night, my guy and I let the GPS decide where we'd go for dinner in Lidingo. We thought that a restaurant called Cleopatra would serve Middle Eastern food. We were so wrong. It was a pizza place owned by Asian folks.

Instead, we went to a Thai place next door. Naturally, neither of us could read Swedish, but we did figure out the gist of some of the dishes. We ordered a couple of dishes, which were delicious.

I don't know how to drive a standard car. My guy can and he is willing to teach me.
"I won't charge you money. You'll pay in services."
"Sounds good. I know how to drive yourt type of stiff... um, I mean stick shift."
After a fine time at the restaurant, we headed back to the hotel to unwind and to start packing. It was nice to just converse and relax, while leisurely packing. We had a late checkout time tomorrow, so we weren't in any hurry to get all our packing done.

We were both lounging in bed. My guy was looking up plane tickets. He was booking his business trip to Frankfurt, which is where he is this week. I snuggled up to him as we both were comparing prices. He finally booked his flight, after kissing me and wanting to play with his cock, which was getting harder with each passing minute. He actually heard me tell him to book his flight first and we'd book playtime a bit later!

He powered off his laptop. We began kissing. I am sure that we'd be content kissing each other all evening long, but we always do more than that.
"How have you been?" he asked me.
"That's an unfair question," I protested.
"How so?"
"When I tell you that I have been good, you don't believe me and spank me. When I say that I have been bad, you still spank me."
"I just want to hear your side of the story," he reassured me, extending his hand to hold mine and guiding me to stretch across his lap.
"You're tricking me," I said, playing a whiny, hesitant girl.
"I just want to hear your thoughts."
I was over my guy's knee. He started to grope each buttock, which made me wet and excited. He proceeded to caress each buttock.
"Have you been a good girl?" he asked me.
"Of course," I replied.
"I don't think so."
My spanking started. He used his hand to deliver increasingly harder smacks across each buttock. He paused and pinched each buttock.
"You are such a stubborn girl," he told me while providing a brief spanking pause.
"I'm not stubborn. You're just a meanie!"
I do enjoy provoking him playfully. He scolded me some more, and spanked me longer and harder. I could feel the increasing warmth across my backside.
"Do you want me to stop punishing you?"
"Can you please stop?" I said.
"That's more begging," he pointed out, slapping each buttock. "What will you do to stop me from spanking you?"
"I can give you a handjob..."
He liked that. He caressed my backside, signalling that my spanking was over.

I got up and loved how warm my bottom felt. I couldn't help but to passionately kiss him, kneeling in front of him. He did a fine job spanking me.

He took down his pajama bottoms and briefs. I wrapped my hand around his hard cock and began jerking him off. We continued to kiss.

I am not sure what happened exactly. I fount that my guy was taking over the jerking duties and I was playing with his chest. I have always found his chest sexy. He was wearing a long-sleeved shirt. I managed to put my hand under his shirt and caress his bare chest underneath. He liked it so much.
"Play with my nipple," he said, without any hesitation.
A while back, I had asked him whether he liked nipple stimulation. He told me in the past that he liked his nipples played with, but he has not had that done to him for years. We both figured out the answer to this question. I played with his left nipple, pinching it gently, and making circles around and on it.

Our legs were intertwined. His hard cock was rubbing against my thigh. He came on it. It was wonderful. We cleaned up and rested in each other's arms for a bit, engaging in some silly talk before drifting off to sleep.

It was a perfect evening.

Travelling guy

Work is picking up for both my guy and me. My guy will be on the road for the next four weeks. As for me, I have been doing interviews with my boss to hire someone to help me out. For months, I have been doing the workload of roughly four people. I ended up feeling exceptionally overwhelmed a few weeks ago. My manager has been good about holding back a number of tasks, as we have a client who is highly demanding. I can't doing it all.

This afternoon, my guy and I got to talk briefly before we both had to get back to our work. I had my regular meeting with my manager. My guy ended up helping a programmer with code. I actually found out through my manager first that he was going to be on the road.
"How is Friday the 13th treating you?" my guy asked me when we both had a free moment at 18:00.
"[Our manager] told me that you're travelling next week."
"Yes, I'm in Germany," he stated.
"I'm really happy that you're on the road. It's what you have been waiting for," I said, genuinely happy for him.
"Yes. I am happy, too," he said confidently, but had a look of concern.
We can read how we feel. He knew that his being away for four weeks would be difficult for me. That happened a few months back. My workload got me down a couple of weeks ago. It was the first time that he had seen me so low in spirits. He actually hugged me for the longest time to tell me that things would get better. He was right. I am doing a bit better.
"It's funny. When I was recovering from surgery, I wanted to come back to work," I stated.
"Yes," my guy said, listening attentively to me.
"Now, when I have so much work thrown at me, I want to be home, on employment insurance again, earning 55% of my salary."
"And reading a book," he said, referring to a spanking book that had short stories, which I had read to him a few times.
"Yes," I admitted.
"Slapped with tons of reading time!" he said, which made me groan.
My guy is off to Germany for a week. He will then be Turkey, Egypt, and Thailand.
"I'll be in Bangkok, where there will be a number of red light districts," he said, with a sly, boyish expression on his face.
"You'll be right at home," I said, playing his game. He likes to try and make me jealous.
"I will be massaged at least 5,000 times," he said. "I'll be back here in a wheelchair afterwards, as I won't be able to walk."
"Won't there be a lot of chafing, even for you?" I stated nonchalantly, which made him laugh.
We left work at the same time.
"I'll be depressed after two weeks," I said, referring to how I felt the last time we were apart for three weeks.
"Don't be. We'll be in touch," he said, with a huge smile on his face.
The sun was still shining brightly outside. I was happy. So was he. We'll be okay, as always. It just means that we'll be having more phone sex!
