Cookbook and charging adapter from Amazon Prime Days

I participated in my first Amazon Prime Days event. I typically don't have a thing to buy. However, there were a few things that I wanted this year.

One was a vegan recipe book. I'm not vegan. The fact that the recipes are dairy-free suit me, as I'm borderline lactose-intolerant.

I got a charging adapter that has more electrical outlets, including three USB ports. I installed it in the basement. 

This charging adapter is perfect. It has a screw that stays put when plugged into the wall outlet. I needed it and solves my issue with any plug that wouldn't stay plugged in. Yay!

Fixing my incompetent colleague's mistakes and enjoying Blizzards

I dislike dealing with my incompetent colleague. She showed just how clueless she is about everything. I had to undo her work, which is sadly regular work.

On a good note, I drowned my sorrows in ice cream after work. Dairy Queen offers a BOGO (buy one, get one) promotion. You can buy a Blizzard and get a second one for 99 cents. Yay!

Once the sugar high dies, I'll hit the sack.

Dreamsicle dipped cone

I am a latecomer visiting Dairy Queen. I have visited this place twice in two days, which happens to be more times than the decade before this year.

I recently found out that DQ has a dreamsicle dipped cone. It is essentially vanilla soft serve that is dipped in orange goodness and handed to you on a cone. I love orange creamsicles, so this treat is the next best thing.

My local DQ is open till 23:00 every night. The hours of operation are deadly! I got home from a late dinner, felt like getting a small cone, and dropped by twenty minutes before closing. I am such a nutcase, but I loved my dreamsicle dipped cone.

A quick change for lunch... pho sure!

On Friday, I went out with my small team for lunch. We had originally thought about going to Dairy Queen.

When we approached the restaurant, I looked at a sign that indicated that there was pho. All three off us were curious. We decided to try that restaurant out instead. Both restaurants are in the same plaza.

You know what? The pho was amazing. It was all about the broth. So good!

I like how we can easily change our plans and no one is stressed out. It's nice.
