Sore wrist with minor swelling

Friday is here. Yay!

I have a sore left wrist. I also have a bit of swelling. My guess is that one end of my cuff bracelet dug into it while my head rested on it as I slept.

I need to sleep differently.

It's weird. I took my cuff bracelet off and hope that the swelling subsides.

Getting a compliment that I'm thin

Last Wednesday, I was doing my usual grocery store run after work. There was a woman taking up the middle of an aisle while looking at something. I wanted to get past her, so I could stand behind her. We were both waiting to pay for our items at the checkout.

I was my usual self by excusing myself to get through. I indicated that I didn't want to plow through and hit her. She was nice. We struck up a conversation.

She was telling me that during this pandemic, she has consumed way too much chocolate and that she was chocolate. She wished that she was as "thin as [I was]." She was so sweet!

I am not known to be thin. However, I'm thinking that my cutting out sugar has made a dent in how I look. I know that I feel much better and I tend to sleep better these days. My pants aren't as snug when I wear them. I thanked her for making my day.

She had a lot of items in her cart. I had a handful. I passed by her on my way out the door and she waved to me. I wished her a good evening.

It's nice meeting friendly folks, especially during a pandemic!

With a nice honour come drama

On Thursday, I got acknowledged on a platform that I am one of the top reviewers in my area. I am honoured and shared that news, which a friend had tagged me on, on Instagram.

I have another friend that I have known since we were in grade 8. She basically made a stupid, insensitive, unfounded remark in this chat exchange:

"You eat out a lot," she stated.
"Not really. I do takeout twice a week. Reviews aren't all food."

I proceeded to show the last five reviews that I had completed. Only one was a food review. I didn't have to. I did it to prove a point to her.

I was annoyed at her comment. Why can't she simply say congrats? Why make such a ridiculous, random, unfounded statement? I actually told her that it was a momentous occasion for me and to let me enjoy it.

Her statement can also be construed as targeting my weight. I feel that it's some sort of internal issue that she has. She sees a happy moment that I am soaking up and she can't stand it. She needs to ruin my day by lashing out with a false statement about me.

I do have a number of supportive friends who got me through this drama that I was not expecting. I'm so fortunate.

Manicure, shaved legs, exercise, and benefits

During this pandemic, there are some things that I have let go doing. It's not horrible, but they are worth noting.

I still give myself a manicure every Sunday. These days, I use clear shellac. It's a throwback to what I used to do before meeting my ex, who liked when I put colour on my nails. I have been working from home for over two months now. I have used coloured polish on my nails twice.

Last night, I shaved my legs for the first time in over two months. Luckily, I don't have a ton of leg hair. It wasn't like I was mowing the lawn.

I haven't gained weight since staying at home. I thank getting out to fetch groceries and essentials twice a week, along with exercising at home.

I do sleep more. I cook more. I do improvements around the house. I have also saved a ton of money because I'm not shopping as much.

It's an interesting time.

Chatting and teasing my guy

I enjoy my chats with my guy.
"I have to go. I forgot my earbuds and am moving to weights," he explained while at the gym.
"No problem. Are you going to buy a protein shake or do you make yours now?" I asked him.
"I make my own. It's in my car. It costs nearly $10 to buy one here," he pointed out.
"Yes, we can't have Cheap Bastard spending a ton of money," I said.
"You got it," he confirmed.
"Well, enjoy the rest of your workout. Say hi to your car for me. She will tell you that she wants me to drive her," I said.
"You think so?" he asked me.
"I know so," I said confidently.
"No!" he exclaimed.
"I love teasing you," I said sweetly.
"I know," he admitted.
It's fun when we chat.

Groping and being observant of my weight loss

In the parking lot of the Chinese restaurant, my guy saw a car parked in the lot that looked just like mine. He told me that he headed over there and noticed that it didn't have an M&M's cap on the gear shift. Moments later, he saw my car and headed over.

After we unlocked from our tender kiss, we headed over to the restaurant. We waited to be seated. He quietly groped my left buttock again.
"That's my butt," I said to him.
"Yes. I love it," he admitted.
We sat down and looked at the menu. He looked over at me, as it has been a long time since we last saw each other.
"Have you lost weight?" he asked me.
"Yes, I have. My pants are looser than they were a couple of months ago," I admitted.
"It shows," he said.
"Can you still see me?" I joked.
"Yes, I can. You're cuter than ever," he said.
He's sweet. He is the only person who notices such subtle weight changes that I go through.

Short weekends and accurate menstrual cycles

Weekends are not long enough. This one went by incredibly quickly.

When I first went on a low-carb diet and lost at least thirty pounds several years ago, my menstrual cycle became regular. Since my first period, each one after that was irregular. I could go for months or even a year before my next one.

Since losing a grand total of sixty pounds, my period has been monthly, with the occasional missed month each year.

Recently, I went back to being on a tighter low-carb diet. Sure enough, my period is even more accurate. It's every thirty days instead of a month, plus or minus a week. I find it interesting that my hormones are more balanced.

Here's to more observations as I continue being on my low-carb regimen.

Periods - noting details and scheduling sex

It's that time of the month. Both my guy and I were thankful that we had so much fun last week! This week is obviously a bit of a breather.

When I first got my menstrual cycle, I was twelve years old. I noticed within the first couple of years that it was abnormal. You're supposed to have one each month. Mine were unpredictable. For the first ten years, I could go a year without one, give or take a few months.

I recall going to my doctor. I had my thyroid checked. It was fine. I got hormone pills that helped start my period.

My periods were heavy. They lasted six to seven days.

When it came to sex, it was nice that I didn't have regular periods. I could engage in sex often. I am not sure if my lack of a normal menstrual cycle ended up heightening my sex drive.

Roughly five years ago, I lost sixty pounds. To this day, I am proud of this achievement. I have been able to maintain it ever since.

What came with this weight loss was a regular menstrual cycle. These days, I can accurately predict when it is going to happen, unless I am stressed that it gets missed. I also missed my period for a month after I had back surgery.

I didn't do my regular exercise regimen last weekend for a couple of days. Whenever I skip exercising, my cramping is the worst. Yesterday, my cramps were bad. Luckily, ibuprofen works for me.

The other thing that tips me off that my period is about to happen is a dull ache in my lower back. Yesterday, it was pretty bad. Again, ibuprofen seems to help here, too.

The good news is that my cramping and lower back ache last for roughly 24 hours. I will be fine when I wake up on Friday.

Oh, and my periods these days aren't as heavy as they used to be. They also last for five days, at most.

It's amazing how hormones and my body work. I asked my doctor and she said that my weight loss ended up balancing my hormones.

My guy is sweet. He finds that I don't go into an I-hate-the-world type of mentality when my period hits. Rather, I seem more at peace. It's a bit strange, but he's correct.

He always asks whether it's okay to spank me when I am on my period. I am fine with it once my cramping goes away. I also insist of being spanked over my pants or whatever I am wearing.

Technically, it's not really a quiet week when I have my period. Spankings continue. We just take a break when it comes to sexual intercourse. I also like focusing on him by giving him a handjob or blowjob, depending on what he would like.

It's all good.

Revealing that you like spanking - an article

I remember when my guy told me that he liked me and wanted to be with me. He was away in Portugal and we chatted on Skype. It was a sweet conversation.

The next time we chatted, we talked about sex and he asked me what I was interested in. I didn't really know how he would feel about my liking to spank and be spanked. He was okay once I told him and it has been wonderful that he loves to spank me.

I found this article about finding the courage to share what fetish you are interested in with your partner. I can relate. It does, however, feel so good when you reveal that you like spanking. Everything seems to fall into place. The self-inflicted pressure seems to melt away.

Opening my 2011 time capsule and reflecting on my life then

I am on vacation till mid-week next week. It has been nice to sleep in and not deal with work-related issues.

I have been cleaning up around the house. I opened a box with tons of magazines and photos. It felt like I was opening a time capsule of sorts.

Most of the items in this box are from 2011. This particular year is significant for a number of reasons:
  • I went on a cruise in February and decided to change my eating habits, which led to my losing sixty pounds. I have kept it off ever since.
  • I injured my back in August, which required back surgery in late October.
  • My guy dropped hints that he liked me in September. We started dating in mid-October.
This box contained a few articles of clothing that are now way too big on me. I washed them last night and am ready to donate them.

I also found a number of magazines that I had subscribed to back then. Within recent years, I decided to cancel all my subscriptions, as they were a complete waste of paper. Many of these magazines were still in their own plastic wrap, in pristine condition.

It has been nice to read each issue. I have been reading a lot lately. I have missed reading for pleasure rather than for work.

Before my guy and I dated, he had visited India on a business trip and gave me a letter opener made of teak. It was also in this box.

On my cruise, I looked at a photo of me posing, barely on the ship for more than thirty minutes. I was at my heaviest weight. I looked happy in the photo, but I wasn't.

2011 was a whole bag of mixed emotions. It ended nicely, with a sweet guy who wanted to be with me at my worst state.

He has stuck by me ever since. I have supported him with challenges that were tossed at him. We make a good support couple, among other things.

Costco and real Coke

My guy loves shopping at Costco. He called me tonight while walking on a treadmill at the gym.
"The new Costco is fifteen minutes away from my place if I walk there," he explained. "It opens in early November."
"That's great. You might as well live there. You can set up your bed with a new mattress and call it home," I replied.
"Shopping makes me happy," he admitted.
"I know. You get high on saving money," I said factually.
He loves talking to me while working out. He shared the results of his blood test. He knows that I have plenty of supportive suggestions to offer, as I have been there.

He is on a mission to reduce his sugar. His medication that he is on for depression spikes his sugar levels. He is doing well and has lost some weight.

We had a discussion about Diet Coke recently. When we first started dating, he told me that he'd take me to a movie and buy me real Coke instead of a generic cola.
"You can tell when a guy is really into you when he buys you real Diet Coke," he hinted.
"That's true. You are into me in more than one way," I said.
We both chuckled. So true.

Sharky, butt watches, diets, and circles

I have talked about a project manager at work who likes me. My guy has nicknamed him Sharky, because he often circles around the cubicle that I choose to sit at when I'm in the office.

Roughly four years ago, I decided out of a whim on a cruise to change my diet. I know that it sounds peculiar. You have all the food you can possible eat on a ship and you're on vacation. You decide to cut out carbs and sugar right then and there?

Yes, I did. It was pretty simple. There were sugar-free desserts. I went for low-carb items, rather than cutting carbs out completely.

Two weeks later, I was down ten pounds. I proceeded to lose a total of sixty pounds and have kept them off ever since. No pills. No weirdness. The challenge is a daily one, to maintain the weight.

My guy always marvels at the fact that I like baked goods, such as chocolate croissants, but I still manage to maintain my weight. It helps to have such goodies from time to time. It's okay to indulge. More importantly, I exercise, and eat fresh food as often as I can.

Anyway, when I was about halfway through my goal weight, I had a pair of jeans on that were loose. I knew that I needed to buy a belt.

I had to visit the women's washroom at work. I got up and went through two sets of doors. Sharky was behind me.

There was a glass door in front of me. I had to walk towards it and then make a left to get to the women's washroom. I could see from the reflection that Sharky was looking at me. In fact, he was looking at my butt. It was a nice, quiet compliment.

I told my guy about that a while back. He told me that any man would want to stare at my backside. He is just the lucky one who gets to grope, smack, and pinch it.

My guy's right. He doesn't have a jealous bone in his body, which is nice. He freely admits that any guy would want to have me, including Sharky. However, my guy knows that my heart is with him and the reverse is true, too.

Sharky isn't a shy guy. He does seem shy around me, though.

Last Friday, he was standing behind me when we were both ordering lunch from downstairs. He didn't say a word to me. I did when I turned around after he had placed his order.

My guy and I think that Sharky is being respectful, knowing that we are a couple. It's nice that he finds me attractive, but it's also a bit creepy when he does his circling routine or can find me anywhere in the office.

As for my guy, he likes to sweetly tell me that I am his. I am. And, he's my guy.

L is for lifting weights

I had a rude awakening on Tuesday morning. At 06:00, the sound of my guy's obnoxious alarm on his phone woke us up. The sound was a combination of an annoying car alarm and a vibrator that had gone haywire.

My heart felt like it wanted to separate permanently from my body for a bit. I told my guy that even I don't set my alarm that early when I expect to show up at work by 08:30. He smiled and thought that I was cute, but that I had a point.

My guy had slept pretty well, so I was pleased. He wanted to go to the gym and asked if I wanted to accompany him. We have never worked out together, so it was a nice first for both of us.

I had bought a $5 black t-shirt from Old Navy the day before. It had the number four on the front. I am not superstitious, as the number is bad luck in the Chinese culture.

My guy asked why that number was on my shirt. I had told him that my shirt also came in orange, which had the number nine on it. When you put both shirts together, you get 94, which is the year (1994) in which Old Navy was established. I don't look good in orange and this shirt didn't come in my size, so I lucked out.

I noticed that the washing instructions tag was inside my new t-shirt, on my left side. I said that it was bugging me, but that I liked my t-shirt. Without any hesitation, my guy found his utility knife and offered to remove the tag. He did it carefully and thoroughly. The tag no longer irritated my side. He's handy and thoughtful.

When I travel, I have a swimsuit, cover-up, shorts, and a t-shirt with me. I like to squeeze in a workout when I can. Luckily, these articles of clothing don't take up much space in my suitcase.

My guy worked out at a leisurely pace. He walked on the treadmill for a while. I started off with the elliptical machine because I like working my calves, hamstrings, butt, and heart.

I moved over to the lat pull and leg press machines, before ending my workout with the exercise bike. My guy moved over to do free weights and ended up stretching on the mat. He has a nicely toned chest, which I love resting my head against when we're cuddling. He also has nice biceps that I like touching and caressing.

We both left the gym after working out and headed back to the hotel to change into our regular clothes. He ironed the dress shirt that I had bought him over a year ago and I admired his handy work.

We then when to the lounge to get some breakfast. We chatted as we downed a pretty decent breakfast.

Afterwards, we went back to our room. My guy hugged me and left for work. I wished him a good day. As for me, I headed off to a bunch of outlet stores that I had passed by en route to Montreal.

Up and down... elevator rides are fun!

My guy was wondering if I would come to work for half the day today. Sure enough, I appeared. We were both happy. The ongoing joke that we have with another colleague is that whenever he is at work, I shouldn't show up. The reverse holds true, too.

He had disappeared for a couple of hours this afternoon. He was taking a look at all-season tires for his car.

We like to talk at work. It was just before 18:00 and we talked for nearly two hours. The events from last week had finally hit him. He felt blue.

The good news is that his replacement frames for his eyeglasses should arrive this week. His cell phone that seemed to be toast magically worked again.

He confided in me that he was listening to an audiobook that made him cry as he was driving to work today. He has heard me cry over the phone a couple of times. He is obviously comfortable telling me when he is sad. He wants to talk more about the book with me.

My guy later suggested that he find an audiobook that talked about spanking. I told him that listening to it could be dangerous while driving. I know that I couldn't do that. I'd need to listen to it at home.

He shared his Quality Street chocolates with me. He automatically gave me a caramel that is shaped like the tip of a penis. Today, he gave me another chocolate with a Brazil nut in it. Naturally, I had to find another chocolate that resembled the shaft of a penis. Yes, we like shapes and have fun with our chocolate.

He looked at me and liked the skinny, grey corduroy pants that I was wearing.
"You look amazing," he said. "Those pants highlight your figure nicely."
"Thanks," I replied, accepting his compliment, which is difficult for me. I am extremely humble.
"You are beautiful," he gushed. "You have such a pretty smile and I love how your hair frames your face. Few women can pull that off."
My guy knows what to say. We got to talking about my sixty-pound weight loss that I have been able to maintain for several months now. I had talked about what to do with my clothes that no longer fit me because they are huge on me now. Should I throw them off the top of a tall building? Burn them in a bonfire? Donate them? Keep them in case I gain all the weight back?
"I love the way you look," he admitted. "I don't think that you'll regain the weight. Just donate the clothes."
"I have gained all the weight that I have lost in the past," I indicated. "This is the longest period in which I have maintained my weight."
"That's good," he remarked. "You may think that you could lose some more weight, but I like how you look. I like hugging you."
The best part of the evening was leaving the building. We made it out to the elevators. He leaned over and kissed me. He is becoming more expressive these days.

We got into an empty elevator. We both have a thing for being together in one. I like the idea of stopping an elevator between floors and being spanked by him in one. I think about him sitting on the carpeted floor and my going over his lap. It's the perfect place to get a spanking. It's in closed quarters. It's in a tiny space. I can't escape. It's an intimate place.

Anyway, he pressed the elevator button to go down to the basement. Our cars are on the ground floor. We kissed passionately. He grabbed my hip and touched my left buttock. He moved over to my left breast. I loved it all.

We got to the basement. He pressed the tenth floor button. We hugged and made out some more. We repeated this procedure a few times more.

The coincidental part about our making-out session in the elevator? These days, I have been listening to "Up and down" by Pet Shop Boys. My wish came true today. Perhaps I need to find a song on spanking now.
