Weighted blanket and temperature drop

I bought a weighted blanket. It was on sale. I have heard that it promotes better sleep.

My blanket is 20 pounds. It was quite the workout getting it from the post office to my car, and then from my car, up a set of stairs, to my bedroom.

I have a duvet cover, but it's likely too thin for this weighted blanket. I went on Amazon and bought one specifically for a weighted blanket. I'm excited to get it.

In the meantime, I'm going to use it tonight and see how it goes. I'll report back soon.

It's weird that a few days ago, the temperature was 30°C. The temperature later on today is expected to be 5°C. Yikes!

Lazy Sunday mornings and workouts

I like lazy Sunday mornings. I slept in till 10:40 am. I made corned beef hash, sauteed mushrooms, and an omelette with corned beef hash inside. Good eats.

For the last two weeks at least, I have been working out again. I alternate between cardio, weights, and pushups.

I am still not at cardio levels that I used to be at. I exercise for 15 minutes on a glider these days. I used to easily hit 35 minutes.

Baby steps.

What I didn't do back then was pushups. I can easily do twenty now. Two weeks ago, five of them was a challenge to do.

It's a good thing that I have exercise equipment to keep me going these days. I feel good.

Chatting and teasing my guy

I enjoy my chats with my guy.
"I have to go. I forgot my earbuds and am moving to weights," he explained while at the gym.
"No problem. Are you going to buy a protein shake or do you make yours now?" I asked him.
"I make my own. It's in my car. It costs nearly $10 to buy one here," he pointed out.
"Yes, we can't have Cheap Bastard spending a ton of money," I said.
"You got it," he confirmed.
"Well, enjoy the rest of your workout. Say hi to your car for me. She will tell you that she wants me to drive her," I said.
"You think so?" he asked me.
"I know so," I said confidently.
"No!" he exclaimed.
"I love teasing you," I said sweetly.
"I know," he admitted.
It's fun when we chat.

Hearing his voice again is always sweet

My guy called me just over an hour ago.
"It's not too late for me to call, is it?" he asked politely.
"Nope. 23:30 is still early for me," I said.
He knows that I am a night owl. He called me from the gym. He is getting back to working out. He also missed hearing my voice.
"The hotel that I stayed at did not have a very good lounge. There were only drinks because it was Christmas and Boxing Day," he said.
"So, you're calling me to whine because you couldn't whine to any staff there," I said factually.
"Yes, you are my whining hotline," he said.
"Can you get me a bottle of wine the next time when you whine?" I teased.
"Yes, that's fair."
It was good to hear his voice, too.

Post-spanking analysis

My guy called me on Tuesday night. I was grabbing some dinner when he called me.
"Hey," he said. "I'm at the gym."
"Are you working your arms so that you can spank me harder?" I asked him.
"I wish. I was amazed at how many smacks you could take before you cracked. I spanked you hard in practically the same couple of areas," he remarked.
"It was a great spanking. I am still sore, but it is dying down."
We chatted for quite a bit as he worked out on the treadmill and then stretched.
"You are a cute girl with a cute butt," he told me.
"Thanks. I'm a cute good girl, right?" I teased.
"No, you're a cute girl, but not good. A cute bad girl... yes," he reasoned.
It's nice being with a sweet guy who enjoys spanking me.

My guy called me a good girl... for a brief moment, but I'll take it!

I got my first fitness tracker, a Fitbit One, three years ago. I loved it.

I recently retired my Fitbit One for a Pebble Time Round smartwatch. I didn't think that I'd wear a watch again, but this one looks stylish and feminine. It is also practical.

As far as workouts go, I tend to exercise in my basement, where I have a glider, free weights, and a mini trampoline.

This evening, my guy texted me on Skype. He is still in Mexico City, so our time difference is only an hour. I told him that I was exercising. He was okay chatting with me while sounding winded.

I had finished working out. He could tell because I was drinking water.
"You're done working out, exercise girl?" he asked me.
"Yep, I finally am," I replied.
"How many steps did you do today?" he asked me.
"10,280," I read off my watch.
"Good girl," he said.
Hey, he called me a good girl! I pointed that out to him.
"You're only a good girl for reaching that step goal. You're bad otherwise," he corrected himself.
"You said that I'm a good girl. Yay!"
It truly is fun teasing him.

My guy remembered my telling him that I bought a mini trampoline a few months ago. You can get quite the cardio workout on it.
"I picture you wearing a short skirt and bouncing on it, letting me see your cute butt in a nice pair of panties," my guy visualized.
"That's sweet and it's so you," I said, smiling.
That's my guy.

Workouts and hot dogs

Our conversations have interesting backdrops at times. Yesterday's was a good example.

After work, I was hungry and grabbed a quick bite to eat at a restaurant fairly close to work. I stayed there for nearly an hour before I went back into my car and was about to drive away.

My guy texted me on Skype. He is in Bangkok, so we have a twelve-hour difference. It was 07:00 in the morning his time.
"Waking up?" I asked him.
"Yep," he replied. "Home yet?"
"Nope, I just finished eating."
My guy wanted to hear my voice and was off to the gym. Normally, I am the one with the earbuds and phone talking to him. It was a role reversal on his part. As for me, I was in my car, with my phone connected to my car's bluetooth speakerphone.

I thought that I would be able to hear my guy huff and puff while working out. Well, we were talking and the Internet connection got lost when he was in the elevator. It was not surprising. He told me that he doesn't jog on the treadmill, so he would be able to talk to me.

It was a great conversation. The 7-Eleven by his hotel sells shrimp dumplings. I had to ask him whether it had Slurpees. Of course, I had to touch on the fact that 7-Eleven also sells hot dogs.
"That's just the perfect, unhealthy meal -- a hot dog and a Slurpee," he said to me in a disappointed tone.
"If it makes you feel better, I ate a hot dog at the movies on the weekend," I stated proudly.
"Um, that doesn't make me feel good," he replied.
"And, at Target, I found this little plastic basket that had mini hot dog designs on it. It would be amazing if I got this basket and put a real hot dog in it," I said with a huge grin on my face.
"Do you want me to break up with you if you do this?" he challenged me.
"I just want my bottom smacked," I said, which was true.
"You'll get that no matter what," he replied.
So, that made me feel all warm and fuzzy. It was my virtual hug from him. And, no, he wouldn't break up with me over my liking to enjoy an occasional hot dog. I just like teasing him about it.
