Thinking alike with the same e-card

My guy and I were apart this Valentine's Day. We don't treat this day as being terribly important. We both agree that love isn't just celebrated on one particular day in the year. Rather, it's spread across it.

The funny thing this year is that we both sent the same e-card to each other. We know each other so well and have the same tastes in puns that it's not surprising.

Here is part of mine that I received from him:

I like that he called me good girl. It's rare, but I will take it!

Waiting

I miss my guy. This week is his last one away before he returns home.

I can't wait to see him again.

Spank me every day

It's nice when my guy and I chat over Skype when we are apart. We had this conversation yesterday.
"Have you been a bad girl?" he asked me.
"I don't know. I think that I've been good. I haven't been spanked for a while," I noted.
"It has been a while since I've spanked you. That's why you don't know," he said.
"It's all your fault," I stated.
"I don't think so. If I were with you, I'd spank that cute butt of yours every day," he admitted.
"Can you write that in a Hallmark card and send it to me? I love it," I replied, which made him chuckle.
"It's romantic, huh?" he said rhetorically.
We miss each other. He's sweet.

BAD girl is still sad girl

I am still down about not being able to see my guy for a month. You would think that I'd be used to these long periods without him. I'm not.

I do like when he writes e-mails to me while we are apart. It helps.

It's nice when he starts off his e-mail by calling me BAD girl. Yes, BAD is in capital letters.

It's sweet. It's his version of a love letter that I gladly accept.

A long wait - missing my guy already

I'm bummed out right now. My guy's flight is early today, which means that we won't be able to see each other.

Like last year, he is away from a month on business. It seems like an eternity.

Although he has reassured me that we'll chat while he is away, I'm still sad that we'll be apart for such a long time.

What to write about? Missing my guy and admiring betta fish

When I did the A to Z blog challenge, I didn't have any issue writing about anything. Topics were there, ideas came to me quickly, and I just wrote away.

Now that the challenge is over, I find that I can't think of anything to write. At least, that's how I feel.

Perhaps it is also because I haven't been able to talk to my guy. He came back late on Wednesday night and was too tired to call me. Yesterday, he managed to say hi online, but he was dead tired.

I miss him even more when we don't talk while we are apart.

To counter this temporary void, I found an aquarium store on my way home from work. It is huge! I saw some cool betta fish. I nearly bought another one. One of them was purple.

It's unfortunate that you can only have one betta fish in a tank. Introduce another one in the same tank and they will stress each other out, and one possibly might die after they are done fighting each other.

They are nice to look at. I probably stood in front of the betta fish section for ten minutes, admiring how gracefully they were swimming by themselves.

I also can't believe how many betta toys are out there. I browsed. I am sure that I will be back to spoil my fish with a leaf hammock or log.

I can still hear my guy tell me that I am taking my pet fish too seriously. I care about my fish. My guy is genuinely happy that I have a pet fish. My fish enjoys blowing bubbles on the surface and insisting on eating dried bloodworms.

I am glad that I have a pet again. It's nice to watch him swim and love his environment. It also fills the void of my guy not being with me a bit.
