Sharky, pleasure, and math

It has been a while since I wrote about Sharky, a software development manager with whom I work on various documentation tasks. These days, we have a ton of software releases for existing customers. Naturally, they need release notes and documentation.

Last Friday, we crossed paths. My team was working on a major software release and we had to build our documentation. It's a long story, but it does take some time, even with some tasks being somewhat automated.

He indicated that there would be only one trouble report (it's essentially a bug report in either the software or documentation) to indicate in the release notes. I was good with that.

On Monday, I followed up with him. He had changed his story. There were 21 trouble reports and counting! Okay, being a one-year-old toddler versus a 21-year-old undergraduate student is a huge difference. Why can't he count properly?!

Anyway, this past Monday, he assigned me a trouble report to work on. It was incorrectly dubbed as a documentation issue for our part of the software, when it should go to a different writer. I wrote an e-mail to him to explain things. I indicated that he could reassign it to another writer or I could simply reject the trouble report.
"Cutiebootie, I reassigned the report," he said to me.
"Thanks. I wasn't sure whether you wanted to reassign it or have me reject it, which I enjoy," I said.
"I didn't realize that it gave you pleasure -- that it is pleasurable for you," he said.
Of note, Sharky has a thing for me. My guy and I have discussed various actions that he does or says that supports his attraction. My guy often teased me by saying, "But, Cutiebootie, he lusts after you."

My manager had heard the pleasure and pleasurable references. His eyebrows automatically raised as his eyes got larger. Last year, he went on about how Sharky resembles George Clooney. Although I don't see it, I still tease my manager by saying that Sharky is his boyfriend.

Ah, what fun!

I told my guy about it. Naturally, he takes it in good stride.
"He has good taste in women. Anyone would lust after a cute Chinese girl like you," he admitted.
"You're sweet. He's creepy, though. And, he can't count!"
I don't do well being with someone who can't do simple math. Thank goodness my guy and I are math nerds.

A couple means three to my local Starbucks barista

I am a regular at Starbucks. I don't drink coffee, though. I am there for tea and the occasional bakery item.

I decided to grab an iced green tea before I headed off to work. I ordered through the mobile app, which has been wonderful. I often get iced green tea without the lemonade. For some reason, at Canadian Starbucks locations, most baristas think that I want lemonade when I say that I want iced green tea. Um, no. Ordering through the mobile app has resolved this issue.

On Thursday, I felt like getting a donut. I don't eat donuts often. I used to do rotating shift work and we ate tons of them. I got sick of them. These days, if I eat a few in a year, I'm laughing. So, I ordered a donut on my app.

Two orders. Two items.

I headed over to my local Starbucks. It has a drive-thru. It's roughly a five-minute drive away from home.
"Hello, what can I get started for you?" asked the male barista.
"Hello. I am picking up a couple of orders for Cutiebootie," I said to the speakerbox.
"Through mobile order?" he asked me.
"Yes," I replied, puzzled that there is perhaps another ordering method before you arrive.
"Three orders?" he said in the form of a question.
"No, a couple means two. I have two items."
It amazes me that there are folks out there who do not know what a couple means. You guys make a lovely couple. There are two of you in a romantic relationship. If there were more, you'd have a threesome or a more-some.

I drove over to the window. Wait, it gets worse...
"Here are your three items," he said to me as he handed them over. "Your drink, your donut, and your straw."
"I still ordered two items," I replied.
"The straw made me think that it was three items," he explained.
"Okay. That's not what I had in mind."
So, when I order an iced green tea, I am actually ordering the straw as an item.

If I ordered a grande mint majesty tea, I can be potentially ordering a multitude of items:

  • Teabag
  • Honey
  • Sugar
  • Milk
  • Stir stick
  • Paper cup
  • Cup lid
  • Hot water
  • Napkin
When I order a grande tea, I am not ordering a single item. Oh, not at all. I am essentially ordering nine items. Wow, I get so much for so little. Incredible. NOT!

Thinking about receiving a birthday spanking

I love a birthday spanking. I always have.

My birthday is in July. Growing up, I didn't have a birthday party each year with friends, mainly because it was in the summer. My birthday is between Canada Day and July the fourth, meaning that it tends to occur during the long weekend, when folks are away at the cottage or on vacation.

I don't find it to be a sad story, though. My parents always made sure that I had a birthday cake and was happy on my day.

It wasn't until I had found a partner to spank me on my birthday that I appreciated a good birthday spanking. I love waiting until the stroke of midnight on my birthday to go over his lap in either a pair of shorts or pajama bottoms and get my age in birthday smacks, followed by one smack for good luck, and another to grown on.

In recent years, my birthday spanking consisted of the aforementioned ritual over my shorts or pajama bottoms first. They would then be removed and I would receive the same number of smacks over my panties. Finally, the panties come off and I would get the same number of smacks on my bare buttocks.

After phase one, I would then be spanked by taking my age multiplied by ten on my bare bottom. I prefer having an open hand slap my backside, but like varying the smacks with a paddle or a ruler.

I have never been forced to count each smack delivered on my backside. I may need to explore that option to see whether I like it.

Last summer, I didn't get a birthday spanking, as I didn't have anyone to give me a proper one. I am hoping to introduce the idea slowly to my guy Frankly, I like the idea of having a birthday spanking every month!

Anyway, I came across Sarah Gregory's birthday spanking for 2012. I liked how she gets a birthday spanking for every new outfit that she wears.

I am not sure if my guy would enjoy receiving a birthday spanking. I have given him lovetaps now and again. It is worth exploring, although I have a feeling that he likes administering them more these days.
