Downtown today or Saturday?

I'm debating whether to drive down to downtown Toronto to check out a takeout deal and the new Toronto sign after work today. I have a feeling that it won't be that busy and that I can take advantage of taking photos of this sign.

On the other hand, I could do this trip on the weekend. Both the food deal and the sign will be there. The downside is that there will be more people.

At least I have options! I tend to go out on Wednesdays to get groceries. I'd be going to a different grocery store, which is cool.

My manager can ruin a perfectly nice day

I have an interesting working relationship with my manager. Sometimes, I dig what he does. Other times, I shake my head.

Our team has these brief chats at the end of the workday. Last week, he suggested that each person lead a chat with a topic. I was the first person to say that I liked how casual and natural it flows. We think of topics to discuss as if we were in the office, chatting in the lunch room. It should not be a structured meeting. It's a chat.

Yesterday, a colleague congratulated me on my ten-year work anniversary. Naturally, my manager ruined it by saying that in our human resources system, my start date working for the company is September 24 and that I should contact HR to have it fixed.

Why? I told him that I know what my start date is. Obviously, my three colleagues in this chat knew what my start date was, because they signed my virtual card. He dropped the ball by failing to sign it. He got the e-mail. He chose to not act on it.

Anyway, I contacted HR and spoke to a nice guy. I know that my manager won't and wouldn't do it. As noted, in the system, my start date is correct. However, my signed contract date is September 24, 2012. It's practically two years after I started working for the company, which obviously makes no sense! Anyway, he has a separate department who will fix this issue.

It's always nice when my manager ruins such a lovely occasion. It's not every day that one hits a milestone like what I just did. He could have been more attentive. That's just my take on it.

Anyway, my colleagues left me nice messages in my virtual card. They made Monday far more cheerful.

I got to select a gift to commemorate this occasion. I got a fancy tea steeper. I drink lots of tea, so it will come in handy. It will take a month to ship, which is the downside. Luckily, I am patient.

Sign and sell manuals

Even though my guy and I had an hour together yesterday, we made the best of it.
"I got you gifts. I have training manuals," he said, handing them to me.
"Ooh, they are for me and my students," I replied.
"Yes," he said, smiling because I was smiling.
"Thanks, sweetie. Can you sign them so that I can sell them on eBay and make some money?" I teased.
Dead silence. We then both laughed. It's the realization that we won't make any money selling them.

Windy day with consequences

Toronto and its suburbs experienced strong winds on Friday afternoon. My colleagues and I went out for lunch just before noon. It was breezy. Roughly 1.5 hours later, we left the restaurant and the winds had picked up.

When I left work at 17:00, I had difficulty pushing the door to get out of the building. A bit of fear washed over me. I didn't want to be stuck at work. I basically put as much weight as I could leaning on the door. Eventually, I got out after trying for a minute.

I saw a bunch of debris blow everywhere as I drove home. The most frightening part was seeing a thin sign blow in front of my car. I sadly drove over it. I checked my car and didn't see any damage.

Traffic was horrific. Many street lights weren't working. I took a longer route home. I actually cut through Brampton. Many traffic officers were guiding traffic under such windy conditions.

Driving home, there were a couple of huge trees that had fallen. On a residential street roughly two minutes away by car from my home, it had blocked my entire driving lane. I had to move to the oncoming lane to get by.

I finally figured out that Toronto had winds gusting to 118 km/h. Wow. Simply insane.

Power was and may still be out in many neighbourhoods. I hope that everyone is safe.

Knocking at my door to hug, kiss, and make me orgasm

I heard my guy's distinctive knocks on my room door. My heart and feet raced over to the door.

The peephole didn't help much. All I saw was charcoal grey. I knew it was my guy standing there. I opened the door. I was thrilled to see him.
"Hello," he smiled. "I noticed the do-not-disturb sign and decided to knock."
"That's okay. You don't work for this hotel chain," I replied, which made him smile walking in.
This exchange refers to my hotel incident on my recent vacation. I had the do-not-disturb sign on my room's doorknob. Yet, housekeeping still decided to knock on the door. I had to point out this issue to the housekeeping guy.

My guy took his hat off. I naturally went to caress his perfectly uniform head. I forgot that I was walking on a carpeted floor, so I gave my guy a static shock by accident. He was okay.

We hugged a few times. They were meaningful, loving hugs. We missed each other so much.

My guy took off his charcoal grey wool coat. We went over to the couch. We hugged, cuddled, and kissed. It all felt wonderful.

His right hand moved down to my right buttock. Light smacks landed on it.
"I can't wait to punish you," he whispered.
"No, I'm a good girl," I playfully said.
"You are never good," he replied.
We kissed some more.
"I'm going to take off my clothes and we can go to the bed to cuddle some more, if you're okay with it," he said.
"I'd love that," I replied.
My guy looked good as I watched him undress in front of me.

I was heading towards the bedroom. He hugged me from behind, which his hard member rubbing up against my butt. His hug across my breasts moved down to my crotch. He was fingering me and kissing my neck. Moments later, I came.

It was a nice start to welcoming him back.

Reaching out when someone is hungry

At various intersections across the greater Toronto area, there are often folks who will walk between cars stopped at a red light to ask for money. Sometimes, if I have some change, I will give it to them, hoping that they use the money wisely instead of buying a pack of smokes.

The problem these days is that I rarely use cash to pay for anything. I am often using my debit card to pay for purchases. Sometimes, I pay using a credit card.

On Saturday, it was different. There was a man at the intersection that I was stopped at. He was holding a sign saying that he was "very hungry."

The thought that someone is hungry is horrible.

I don't recall his sign saying that he wanted money. Hungry was all that was in my head.

On Friday night, I had stopped by a Starbucks on my way home to buy a two-pack of dark chocolate peanut butter cups. I quickly remembered that it was in my purse. I had used my mobile app to pay for this item, which had a label with my first name on it and the date when I had purchased it.

I grabbed the package, rolled down my window, and handed it to the man. He seemed genuinely thankful.
"Thank you. God bless you. Have a good weekend," he said, cracking a smile.
"You, too," I replied.
The traffic light turned green. I drove off. I saw the man on the cement island, opening the package and eating. It made my day knowing that I helped someone out because I could.

B is for bizarre business sign

It is day 2 of the Blogging Challenge - Spanking from A to Z. I had a post already in mind for today's theme that starts with the letter b. I have to put that on hold. I need to see if I can use another letter for that one.

Sunday tends to be my only day off in any week these days. Work is crazy, so I end up working a six-day week.

Well, I went out yesterday to run a few errands. I voted at an advanced poll in Ontario's provincial election. I grabbed a bit of lunch. I then drove to Staples to pick up an item that I had ordered.

I was stopped at this intersection in my city. There is construction going on at this major intersection, so cars need to either turn left or right. I am in the right turn lane. This sign caught my eye:

Um, okay. I am technically on Main Street. That's great news that the main ass is open. Who is the main ass? Are you talking to me?! Is my main ass available for multiple spankings and no one told me about it?

I also found it appropriate that there is a blue sign telling you where the local hospital is. I think the main ass will need some medical attention with the volume of traffic in the area. That main ass will be pretty sore.

B is for bizarre. Who says that my city is dull?!
