Sodastream machine and my beverage centre

On Saturday, I picked up my new Sodastream Fizzi One Touch machine that I had already paid for online.

I love it. I have made root beer and raspberry mint beverages so far.

The instructions that you get from Sodastream on using your machine are like those from IKEA. They are all diagrams. One reason for pictures is that companies save on translation.

Well, I still needed to go online to watch a Sodastream video on how to use it. I'm good now!

I have decided to create a beverage centre on the top floor of my home. It occupied a small corner of my den. I spend a lot of time working from home on this floor. It makes sense that I house my Keurig (I need to dust it off, as I can't remember when I last used it!) and Sodastream machines. I also bought a stand for my K-cups years ago that can come out of its box.

I have a small kitchen, so having these machines on the counter takes up way too much space. I typically bring my iced tea and beverages upstairs anyway, so having these machines up there makes sense to me.

My long weekend is coming to a close. It was nice taking it easy and relaxing.

Work and the weekend

Work is never dull. Unfortunately, a lot of the work that I had planned to complete didn't happen this week.

It was a short week, but it still felt long.

I had to help out a writer who does not know what he is doing. He isn't even on my team! I spent two hours on Tuesday working with him on something fairly straightforward.

In December, he tampered with a graphic for some reason, which caused a bunch of errors. I asked him to fix the issue, but he never did. I didn't realize until today that his actions caused a PDF document to not generate properly. It opened up a single blank page. I fixed the issue and asked that he consult with me in future if he plans on editing a graphic that my group of writers has worked on. I wasted an hour troubleshooting and fixing the issue.

My students are great, but they need tons of guidance. My manager says to let them run loose. I did that on Tuesday and it was disastrous. Nope, they aren't ready to fly.

I am happy that my week is over and that I can unwind. I enjoy sleeping in on weekends. It's just a nice way to relax and destress.

I am a fan of the M&M's characters. It made sense to me to have a new M&M's wallpaper for my new cell phone's lock screen. I decided to use this one, courtesy of M&M's:

I showed my guy the photo at lunch the other day, which sparked this conversation:

"I like this photo. She reminds me of me. I have the same type of glasses. I also like going to Starbucks," I told my guy.
"Yes. You are also sophisticated and stylish like she is," my guy explained.
"Really? Are you sure that you have the right girl?" I asked him.
"I am positive," my guy replied. "You have nicer legs that she does, though."

My guy is sweeter than the candy-coated chocolate that never melts in your hands.
