New record player and old cell phone

I bought a record player the other day. It was on sale. It's a gift to myself.

I bought one last year in purple, my favourite colour. It was on sale, too. The problem with it is that it doesn't spin a record fast enough and maintain its speed. It's such a shame.

This new record player can do more than just play records. It has a cassette deck, AM/FM radio, bluetooth, and an aux line to connect an iPod or other music player to it.  It plays CDs, too. I can record anything to MP3. It's quite the powerhouse.

I had to make room for it. It's not a tiny thing. It's not monstrous, either.

I liked that it forced me to clean the top of my stereo system. I found a box with an old cell phone from my days in Minnesota. I didn't think that I still had the phone. It's so tiny in comparison to the phones these days.

I felt like I had opened a time capsule of sorts. It was cool to see a snapshot of my life a while back.

Changing spending habits is tough

For a while, I have been trying to reduce costs. I am good in some areas, but horrible in others.

Years ago, I decided to get rid of all my magazine subscriptions. I am glad that I did. It was a waste of paper and money subscribing to them when I could read everything I wanted to online.

I had two cell phones. I didn't need two phone numbers. I am down to a single cell phone.

I introduced my parents to a cell phone and paid for that, too. I looked at how often they use it, which is minimal. I ended up switching their monthly plan to a pay-as-you-go one.

I am horrible when it comes to purchases. Some months, I am perfectly fine sticking to a budget. Other times, I see items on sale and I buy them. Do I really need them? Sometimes, I do. Most of the time, I don't.

Even though I do have lapses from time to time, I am doing fairly well on the whole. My guy, who is both a good shopper and an optimizer, thinks that I am doing pretty well. He feels that my having a lapse here and there is understandable. I appreciate that support.

Fixing things to make things right and having them run smoothly

It would be nice if things ran smoothly all the time. Sometimes, they do. Other times, they go horribly wrong.

As you know, I changed cell phone providers in late October. Last month, I noticed a number of issues with my first bill:

  • I had asked for unlimited Canada-wide long-distance calling. It wasn't applied to my plan. As a result, my talking to my guy over the phone for a month racked up $31 worth of charges.
  • I was promised a $10 per month discount on my monthly rate. It never got applied either.
So, I called the company on a Sunday. I spoke to a guy who was helpful on the whole.

He was great to reimburse me for the long-distance charges and added unlimited Canada-wide calling to my plan. My guy and I are roughly a two-hour drive away from each other, so it makes sense to have unlimited calling since we chat a lot.

I was advised that the second point could be fixed if I switch from being a business customer to a residential one. I have a corporate discount, which is why I ended up being a business customer. Still, it's ridiculous to transfer my account over simply for a discount.

I told my guy about the whole situation. He was annoyed. He has also dealt with similar issues when he changed to his corporate account. He's used to it, unfortunately.

Last week, I contacted my sales rep. She advised that she was driving. She asked that I call her. I was about to have lunch, so I didn't.

I remembered to call her today. She checked. Sure enough, the discount was not applied. She is having that slapped on. I will also get reimbursed for the previous month.

And then, there's work.

Whenever we have a software release, our user guides need to be uploaded to a special repository for folks to access at any time. In the past, three of us would upload each guide one at a time. The work was not difficult. Rather, it was extremely time-consuming.

This past weekend, I tried a new tool that allows you to upload all guides at once. The catch is to load the details correctly. You then press a few buttons and everything runs smoothly.

I triple-checked my information. On Monday, I uploaded all 117 user guides. No errors!

My colleague then kicked off another build to order the documents in our repository. In less than a day, we were done.

I told him that it was the most stress-free upload that we have ever worked on. He commended the fact that I was meticulous with all details, which helped. Everything ran perfectly.

It was a good day. Let's hope for more of them.

Change of plans and a suggestion to drive his car

My guy called me just after 13:00 on Friday. Now and again, he has to change our plans.
"Can we eat at the closer Chinese restaurant?" my guy asked me.
"Sure," I replied.
"I can meet you there," he stated.
"I thought that you would be parking at the office, and I'd drive us to the restaurant, followed by the airport?" I asked.
"I have a lot of bags. I don't think your car can store everything, so I will take a taxi and expense it," he replied.
I could have been disappointed about not saying goodbye to my guy at the airport, but I had a suggestion.
"I can drive you to the airport and drive your car," I said in a teasing manner.
Pure silence. Moments later, my guy could talk again.
"Um, thanks for the offer. But, I will take a taxi," he said.
We both laughed. Give me time and I will wear him down.

Cell phone providers, a new phone, and customer service

I recently changed cell phone providers. I had been with my former provider just after I had graduated with an undergraduate degree, which was roughly under two decades ago.

As soon as my cell phone number was transferred to my new cell phone provider, the old one has sent a couple of e-mails, asking that I fill out a survey and that the carrier was sorry to see me go.

Although I would have liked to have stayed with the same cell phone provider, paying a ton of money a month more simply because contracts have changed from three years to two does not exactly make it affordable, even though I would still be okay.

Canada has expensive cell phone plans when you compare them at a global level. To get a subsidized phone, I would need to get on at least an $80 a month plan, which would actually be a downgrade for me. It only includes 500 MB of data. Yes, our data plans are ridiculously high.

I called my old cell phone provider before I made the switch. There were no decent offers given that would make me want to say. I was told that $200 would be knocked off towards subsidizing a new phone, but the $80 rate would stand. I asked how the transfer procedure would work. The woman didn't exactly prevent me from switching. She told me to go ahead and proceeded to explain the procedure.

In the past, I felt like I was a valued customer. Nope, times have changed. This company is so large that loyalty is obsolete.

I'm happy with my new cell phone plan, which is a corporate one. I am enamoured with my new Google Pixel phone. I enjoy using it. I feel bad for my iPhone. I had no problems ditching it.

On Tuesday, my guy called me to see how I was doing. I was at the local mall looking for a cell phone case for my phone. I managed to find two gel cases that were $8 each. I also got a glass screen protector for $10. I was amazed at how cheap everything was. The woman at the store even put the screen protector on for me. Wow!

Now, that's customer service. She gave me her business card. I will definitely be back.

I told my guy that I was talking on my new phone. He is equally as intrigued about the phone as I am. It's nice that he enjoys when I am all geeky with my gadgets. He likes the fact that I enjoy hearing about all the bargains that he found at Costco. It's nice.

Cell phone provider change and a spanking to come

My guy called me later than usual this evening. It was great hearing from him.

Yesterday, I decided to change cell phone providers. I have been a customer with my current cell phone company for at least fifteen years. At my workplace, there is a corporate rate with another carrier.

I asked my current cell phone carrier whether it could give me some sort of deal. Nope. I'd have to pay $80 a month to subsidize a new phone. The plan is the same one that I am currently on for $60.

With my workplace plan, I get a new phone and my plan goes up to $72 a month. It's not bad considering that I get twice the data as my current plan. So, I have switched.

I told my guy about my new phone.
"You are my geeky gadget girl," he reinforced.
"I am your good geeky gadget girl," I teased.
"No, you are never good," he insisted.
"Yes, I am. Whenever your phone dies, I offer to charge it," I remarked.
"True, but you're being helpful. We need to state the truth that you are bad Cutiebootie and that you have another punishment coming your way."
It's exciting to get a new phone, a better cell phone plan, and a spanking to come.

Remembering where my guy had parked his car means a spanking for me

My guy is directionally challenged. He relies on a GPS to get him to any destination that he needs. I don't even want to know what would happen to him if this gadget wasn't even invented!

The other day, my guy and I headed out for lunch. I start getting worried when he wanders around the parking lot.
"Do you know where you car is?" I asked him.
"It's somewhere over here," he gestured.
"That's half the top floor of the parking lot," I pointed out.
"I will eventually find it. See, there it is!"
We got into his new car and my guy drove us to our regular restaurant. He can figure out the general vicinity of the restaurant these days. He no longer needs to pull up this saved location on his GPS.
"I decided to do away with my GPS," my guy stated along the way.
"What?!" I questioned and exclaimed simultaneously.
"I have decided to use Google Maps on my phone instead. It's more reliable," he admitted.
I was relieved.

He parked the car and we entered the restaurant. We are regulars there. We are always promptly greeted. The food was yummy. We ordered our usual dishes. I went with the spicy garlic chicken. My guy ordered the spicy ginger beef.

We love spending time together, even if it's for an hour at lunch.

After we had filled our tummies up with good grub, my guy picked up the tab, and we proceeded to walk out the restaurant.

My guy was heading in the wrong direction.
"It's this way, sweetie," I said, pulling his hand in the correct direction.
"Ah, I knew that," he said, smirking.
"No, you didn't. You would have wandered around the entire parking lot, like you normally do," I stated.
"You are such a bad girl," he replied.
"No, I'm a good girl. I am leading you to your car," I stated factually.
"I need to lead you over my knee," he replied.
It's a good thing that I am good with directions. Otherwise, we wouldn't make it back to the office at a decent time. And, I wouldn't get a spanking so quickly.

Fixing issues after my operating system woes and talking to my directionally challenged guy

My guy and I work in the information technology sector. He often tells me that he hates technology. However, he is good at practically everything he works with. His skill set constantly amazes me.

He only has one downfall -- he is directionally challenged. He is heavily reliant upon his GPS, so I know that he never forgets to have it with him.

On the other hand, I sort of make up for his couple of weaknesses. I tend to remember where he has parked his car whenever we are out. I am a geek when it comes to technology. We have mutual respect and admiration for each other's strengths.

So, this post will probably be my last one about my Mac mini issues. Here is the latest since a representative at my local Apple store's Genius Bar wiped out my hard drive and reinstalled the seemingly problematic El Capitan operating system.

The unfortunate part was that none of my external devices were not syncing properly after El Capitan was successfully installed. I am hoping that the next operating system release doesn't cause so many problems!

I am putting together this list of issues and what I did to fix each of them, in case I need to reference what I had done in a year's time:
  • Photos library does not appear in iTunes
It turns out that you need to make your Photos library a system Photos library in the Photos application. The change has to be done in the Photos > Preferences dialog. After you make this change, other applications, like iTunes, can find your Photos library.
  • iPhone does not sync properly in iTunes
It applies to most Apple devices that sync with iTunes. The existing content was a part of my old configuration on my Mac mini. That old configuration no longer exists on my Mac mini. As a result, in the case of my iPhone, it needed to be restored. I could then fully restore the phone using the last backup.
  • Even after the first two changes, my photos and music still don't sync with my iPod or iPhone in iTunes
There are a lot of i-products. Apple seems to be moving away from all that recently, with Apple Photos and Music, as examples. There are more steps to make sure that the Mac mini and the device sync up:
  1. Completely exit both Photos and iTunes. Proceed to shut down the Mac mini.
  2. My music is on an external hard drive. It needs to be powered down. I also unplugged its USB cable from the drive.
  3. Leave all devices turned off for a minute. Power on the drive first, and then the Mac mini.
  4. When the Mac mini is fully booted up, connect your iPod or iPhone to the computer.
  5. Ensure that you have selected some music and photos to sync. They should sync up fine.
I was able to successfully sync my music and photos on my iPhone again. Currently, I am working on my iPod classic to sync all my music and photos. The latter will take a while. I have over 20,000 songs, which is my entire digital collection.

On Friday, my guy drove back from Montreal. He called me at around 17:00. I had missed his call, probably because I was walking to my car and didn't hear my phone ring. I called him back.
"Hey, did you call me?" I asked him.
"Yes, I did," he said cheerfully. "I thought that you may have been in a meeting."
"I was till 16:45, but I am in my car now," I explained. "I take it that you're driving back right now?"
"I am. I am a third of the way there," he said, with a tinge of being disappointed that he didn't leave earlier.
"It's okay," I replied. "Are you at least over the border into Ontario?" I asked him.
"I'm in Brockville. Where is that?" he asked me, which confirmed that he is still directionally challenged.
"Yes, you are in Ontario. Welcome back!" I exclaimed with glee.
"Thanks. I don't see any French signs anymore, so I am in Ontario."
He's cute. We agreed to meet in Scarborough, close to highway 401. My guy had bagels to deliver to me. We also wanted to see each other as soon as possible.

My Mac mini update and more

I thought that I would check in and say hi. So, hi!

The good news is that the technician at my local Apple store's Genius Bar got my Mac mini up and running on Wednesday. I am blogging again using it.

Unfortunately, the fix required wiping out my Mac mini's hard drive contents and reinstalling the new El Capitan operating system. Of course, things are never smooth after such a restoration. Now, my photos do not sync with my iPhone. Ah, the joys of technology!

It has been a rough week at work. My manager suffered an eye injury. He has lost vision in his left eye. I don't know at this stage whether the vision loss is temporary or permanent, but I am hoping that it is the former. Our team at work is pooling our money for a get-better-soon gift for him. We had thought of flowers, but his particular hospital wing does not allow them. So, I will probably need to resort to chocolates and a get-well balloon when I place the order on behalf of the team. It's the thought that counts the most.

I hope to place the order tomorrow and go see him on the weekend. It makes you appreciate people you work with under such conditions. I hope that he is on the mend.

My guy is currently in Montreal. I had hoped to join him, but we have an intern who started with the company on Monday. I have been training her. She's a good person. Needless to say, this week has been both draining and challenging.

My guy decided to drive to Montreal for his business trip, similar to what I had done back in April. I asked him if he could buy some bagels for me, as they are simply yummy. He didn't hesitate. He told me that they would be my souvenir. He's sweet, as usual.

So, my posts still won't be all that regular until I troubleshoot some minor issues. Wish me luck!

Lunch, phone unlocking, and a threat to my backside

Last Tuesday was a bit unpredictable as far as my guy's availability for lunch. A mutual colleague of ours, who lives in Saudi Arabia these days, flew back to Toronto attend my guy's course. My guy said that this colleague had made mention of doing lunch with my guy on Tuesday. So, our date lunch may not happen.

Well, my guy pinged me first thing in the morning. He told me that this colleague didn't show up for his course. My guy asked whether I was still free to have lunch with him. Although I had packed my lunch, I was good with deferring my goodies for dinner and having lunch with my guy. He was relieved.

We went out for lunch at 12:30 pm. My manager had scheduled a last-minute meeting with me and another manager from noon till 12: 30 pm. I advised my manager that I had to do a hard stop at 12:30 pm, for my guy's lunch slot isn't too flexible. My manager tends to talk a lot. Sure enough, it happened and the meeting dragged on. I got up from the meeting, excused myself, and left. I also let my guy know that I was running a few minutes later.

My guy and I met downstairs and headed to his car. We drove to our favourite Chinese restaurant. He ordered my dish from the day before, which was spicy garlic chicken. I went with the chilli chicken. Yep, we are still in chicken mode.

My guy turned a bit serious for a brief moment during our conversation.
"I have a favour to ask of you," he said seriously.
"Oh, no. Is this work-related?" I asked, knowing that it wasn't.
"No. Your cell phone plan is with Telus, right?" he asked me.
"Are you going to tell me your old puns again about cell phone providers?. Telus about your day. Rogers, that, buddy! That rings a Bell," I teased my guy, while giving him a taste of his own medicine.
"Wow, now I don't know what I was going to ask you after that rant," he smiled.
"Maybe that's a good thing," I replied.
"I need to unlock my phone and need a different SIM card. You have a nano SIM, too, correct?" he asked me.
"Yes," I replied. "I can help you after work."
"Thank you. That would be great."
My guy and I are pretty consistent when it comes to unlocking phones as of late. I have done it with two of my phones. He has done it with the last two phones that he has owned.

After work, I dropped by a meeting room on the second floor where my guy was teaching his course for the week. My guy was bent over to reach for something. I was admiring the view from afar. I enjoyed it.

My guy and I sat together to unlock his phone. We exchanged SIM cards, with my guy carefully inserting my nano SIM into his phone. He wanted me to record the procedure, in case something went wrong. It was my first time recording video on my phone, which turned out well. He successfully unlocked his phone. We also tried the data. We had to change a setting and it worked like a charm.

We packed up. I teased my guy over something.
"You're such a bad girl," he hinted.
"I'm not. I am a good girl, as always," I replied.
"No, you are never a good girl. If I had a wooden ruler, I would show you how bad you are."
It's nice when he threatens me that way. It's quite the turn-on.

M is for malls

I tend not to walk an entire mall these days. The malls near me are huge in the sense that you can spend countless hours there. Knowing me, I'd end up cleaning out all the money in my bank account.

In Montreal, I went to outlets and box stores. For some reason, going to several of these stores is enough for me.

When I had returned to Toronto, I noticed that my iPhone screen had lifted at the top. I couldn't push the screen back down and be flush. I decided to book a Genius Bar appointment at my local Apple store (the nearest one is fairly new, but parking can be a challenge on the weekend). So, I had no choice but to visit the mall.

First, I was told that the entire screen needed to be replaced. I was fine with that. I signed the work order and was told that it would take an hour. So, I walked around the mall.

It's a pretty big mall. To avoid spending, I sat down on a comfortable leather bench and relaxed. Over an hour later, I went back to the Apple store.

It turns out that my iPhone's battery was "swollen," meaning that the screen could not be upgraded. Instead, I got a new replacement phone for free! It is a good thing that I had backed up all my data.

The downside? All my apps appeared on my new phone, but the apps weren't downloaded properly. So, I had to manually do that. Luckily, I had the entire weekend to do this task. It wasn't bad, though. I got rid of many apps that I no longer use and all is well.

Work, technology, shopping, and thoughtfulness

It seems like ages since I have blogged. All is well. Work is just kicking my butt. I would much rather have it spanked by a cute guy, though!

This week is my last workweek before I go on vacation for two weeks. Working three straight Saturdays on top of a regular five-day workweek is draining. Our software release is this week, so I can finally see the finish line.

My guy is still in Dubai. We have managed to talk fairly often on Skype, despite the nine-hour time difference.

In technology news, I caved and got a new Macbook Air to replace my dead HP laptop. I love how thin in it. I told my guy about it. In general, he isn't crazy about Apple products. However, he is genuinely happy that I am happy with my purchase.

I also decided to get a BlackBerry Passport. The device is indeed the size of a Canadian passport, which is how it got its name. Mine is unlocked and uses a nano SIM. In other words, I can use it for both my BlackBerry and iPhone. Yay!

I told my guy about my new BlackBerry. He is well aware that before my iPhone, I owned a BlackBerry for three years.

The next day, we talked on Skype again.
"By the way," my guy started the conversation.
"Oh, no. You normally start a sentence off that way when you want to talk about work."
"No, not this time. Did you get a new phone case for your BlackBerry?"
"I got a purple silicone case from Amazon.ca for $5. Cheap Bastard would approve."
"I do! All I see are the hard black and white BlackBerry-branded cases," he replied.
"How come you are looking for BlackBerry cases?" I asked him curiously.
"If you didn't have a case, I was going to buy you one."
He's thoughtful and sweet. The day before, we had this conversation:
"How did you spend your Saturday?" I asked him.
"I slept in till nearly noon. I then went to the largest mall in the world and walked around for several hours."
"Did you buy anything?"
"I bought one thing," he replied.
"What did you get?"
"I bought you a gift. I hope that you like it."
"That's so sweet. I like all gifts that you give me."
My guy returns a few days before Christmas. That is my biggest gift of all.

He misses me a ton. He wants to spend some time together once he arrives that evening. It seems like ages and I miss him, too.

Visiting the bazaar and smacking his backside with a plastic case

My guy has just hopped on his plane to Dubai. I miss him already.

I took a second sick day from work. I have been averaging thirteen hours of sleep for the last two day. It has done a lot of good. I am not coughing as much and I seem to be on the mend. If I can only get rid of the congestion that has clogged my left ear, I may be back to normal.

I am still reliving memories of my trip to Istanbul with my guy. It will have to do until we go on another trip together!

On Friday, we managed to go to one of the many bazaars around the city. This one was on the Asian side of the city, so it was nice to take a ferry to get there. We took many photos along the way.

I got tired of walking. All the crazy walking that I had done over the week had finally caught up with me. My guy was okay with my sitting down while he looked around. He was sweet to buy me a small bag of roasted chestnuts, which seemed to be everywhere in the city. He took one to enjoy while he headed out.

He came back about thirty minutes later. We then looked around for cell phone cases. He bought a couple. I seem to have an addiction, which I openly admitted to my guy. It made him smile.

I asked my guy about a screen protector that he had talked about. Sure enough, he had recommended a tempered glass one. I found one at a store, which was pretty cheap and bought it.

We walked around some more. I ended up buying Turkish apple tea, and a cute saucer and tea cup that I had wanted. We then decided to have some dinner before we would walk around some more.

Since it was our last night there, we went back to Taksim to get some Turkish delight. I was pretty chilled when I sat at a dessert place that had its front door open while my guy was looking for more gifts to bring back. He felt bad at how tired and cold I looked. We got into a taxi and he held me, keeping me warm.

We got back to the hotel and I was feeling better. I got some beer from the lounge. My guy disappeared for a bit while I was taking a shower. He came back moments after I was done and he was in a happy mood. I was applying the glass screen protector onto my phone.

My guy had downed a couple of bottles of beer on an empty stomach. He doesn't normally drink, but he was in a happy, loose mood.

He accidentally sat on my nearly empty container of Tic Tacs. I joked that they were butt-scented, which made me laugh in delight.

At one point, he got up and wiggled his butt at me. He was wearing his boxers and a t-shirt.

My glass screen protector came in a clear plastic case. I couldn't help it. I used it to smack his cute backside.
"Hey, I am the one that should be spanking you!" he said to me.
I got up and hugged him. I then gave him several playful smacks across his bottom. He didn't seem to object.

I kind of like him a bit tipsy. It was fun.

The next day, he told me that he thought that I had used my hand to smack his butt. I told him that it was the plastic case.

Although he has told me that he probably wouldn't like being spanked, he doesn't mind playful lovetaps. He also loves when I grope his backside.

All hope is not lost.

Sleeping in and getting a couple of hard smacks for napping

Last Friday was our last full day in Istanbul. My guy had finished his training session early, so he had the entire day free for us to spend exploring the city. Naturally, we both wanted to sleep in.

Well, my sleeping in ended up being at around 09:00. My guy kept at it. He woke up briefly at around 10:00.
"Is having breakfast really worth it?" he asked me in a sleepy voice, hugging his pillow tightly.
"Are you being philosophical?"
"Is it really worth it to go out to the bazaar?" he asked.
"If you want to sleep away the day, I am okay with that."
"No, I should take you to the bazaar. I love to sleep, though."
"I know. What did you do last weekend when you slept in and housekeeping wanted in?"
"I was too tired to answer the knock on the door. Housekeeping came into the room, saw me in bed, and left."
He's both sweet and funny that way.

Eventually, he did get up and got on with his day. However, it took him a while because he tends to be sluggish under such conditions.

Since we had missed breakfast in the lounge, my guy opted to fetch us some sandwiches across the street. He left his phone in the room. I decided to help him charge it. It only had about 10% of its battery life.

We ate our sandwiches in the room. He proceeded to answer some work e-mails. I was so full from the sandwiches that I ended up lying on my side on the bed.
"Oh, no," he said, placing his hand on my right buttock.
"Are you going to spank me?" I asked him.
"We need to go to the bazaar," he stated.
"Well, I was ready, but you ended up doing other things, so I took a nap," I replied.
He gave me a hard smack across my right buttock. He obviously did not like my remark.
"How come you always give me a lopsided smack like that? What about my left buttock?"
"Are you sure that you know what your asking for?"
"Yes," I said.
Naturally, he complied with my request and I got the same hard smack across my left buttock. My bottom smarted a bit, thanks to the leather paddle spanking that I had received less than twelve hours ago.

We headed out the door. I was a bit sore and horny. And, I had the entire day with my guy. I was one happy girl.

Directions and songs about hot dogs

My guy was in Montreal all last week for work. We talked on Skype a handful of times, which helps ease the pain from being away from each other.

He is directionally challenged. I often tease him. On the contrary, I am pretty good with directions. Even when I am in an unfamiliar city, if you give me a map, I am fine getting around.

Montreal can be a bit confusing, for it isn't truly on a grid system. When I was there a few years ago, I drove there from Toronto and was perfectly fine. It helps that my car has a built-in GPS.

My guy's lifeline is his GPS. Without it, he is truly helpless. Well, that fact changed.
"For the first time, I drove with two GPSs," he said to me.
"What?" I replied, puzzled by his statement.
"I had my regular GPS with me and the one on my phone," he stated.
"Why did you need two?"
"My regular one wasn't giving me accurate directions. My phone was much better at it for the most part."
I would be pretty distracted having two GPSs going simultaneously. I could go crosseyed if I had them on either side of the steering wheel!

I joke often that he stays with me because whenever we go shopping together, I can lead him to his car after we're done. What he needs is a phone application that tells him where he has parked. I have one on my phone, but haven't used it.

We are silly together, especially when we're tired. We talked about his experience going to Costco in downtown Montreal, which he found just fine. I always bug him that he never buys me a hot dog from the place.
"Oh, no. Not this conversation again," my guy said with dread.
"You can buy tons of hot dogs there," I said with childlike wonder.
"Hot dogs are bad for you with tons of chemicals," he sang.
"No, they aren't," I replied.
"Yes, they are. Hot dogs should not be consumed by you," he sang some more.
"They are yummy, yummy, yummy!" I sang back at him with my reply.
It made him laugh. I couldn't help but to laugh with him. It's not everyday that you have a singing conversation about hot dogs.

A sweet conversation to start off the day

I wish that every morning started off this way. I will need to backtrack a bit.

On Sunday, my guy and I had started to chat on Skype. However, his hotel room had lost power and he was fumbling around in the dark, trying to find the fuse box. Yes, I was shocked that it has a fuse box right in the room itself.

So, his room had power once he had flicked the fuse switch, but his laptop would not charge properly. He only had ten minutes of battery power. As a result, we only chatted for ten minutes.

He felt bad about not being able to chat. I was wondering whether it was his laptop's battery that was shot or his charger. Well, the following day, he borrowed a charger from a client in Amsterdam for the day, and then went out to buy a new one.

On Monday morning, we chatted on Skype. I was feeling sluggish, mainly because I had tried to sleep in after having woken up from six hours of solid sleep. That attempt wasn't a wise one.

My guy convinced me to take the day off, to not go into work, and to take it easy. He knows that I work hard. I took his advice and did just that.

We actually chatted again on Skype later on that day. He asked me whether I had wanted a sex toy while he was in Amsterdam. He wanted to get me my first dildo, to remind me of him when he was on the road. It's quite the thoughtful gift!

Anyway, he had hoped to chat with me on Tuesday. I had figured that he'd be too busy sightseeing, shopping, and packing to chat. So, I wasn't upset when he didn't.

This morning, after having fixed myself some breakfast, I fetched my laptop and powered it up. I don't normally go and grab my cell phone first thing in the morning. I don't know what possessed me to do it this morning, but I am sure glad that I did.

As soon as I had picked it up, my phone rang. It was a long-distance number that I didn't recognize. Knowing how curious I can be, I picked it up.
"Hello, Cutiebootie speaking," I said.
"Did you just wake up?"
"What?"
"I called you an hour ago. I know that you're an earlybird."
In a rare move, my guy had called me from the car rental place at the airport an hour earlier. He was now waiting to board his flight back home. It was great to speak to him this morning.
"I got you a dildo," he said.
"Thanks so much. What colour is it?" I asked.
"It's a light pink," he said.
"That's very feminine," I remarked.
"I will leave it in your desk drawer at work, in a bag," he said.
"That sounds good. I would hate it to be standing up in front of my monitor as a paperweight."
We both laughed. It would be a pretty good conversational piece.
"Can we do lunch at our usual place tomorrow?" he asked me rather sweetly.
"That sounds good. It would be nice to see and chat with you."
"Maybe after lunch, we can have dessert," he hinted.
"You really can't wait, can you?" I asked him rhetorically.
"For sure."
It has been three weeks since I last saw him. Touched him. Kissed him. Got spanked by him.

I told him the other day that I longed to see him. I can't believe that in several hours, I will.

The wait is about to end. It's about time!

One-year anniversary - celebrating it with phone sex

It has been three months since my guy and I have used Skype to chat. He is in India on business for a couple of weeks.

As I had briefly mentioned in my last post, I was bummed that my guy had said hi on Skype on Tuesday morning and then signed off. I had missed him by ten minutes.

On Thursday, we finally got to message each other on Skype. He had signed off so quickly on Tuesday because he has been jet-lagged. For the first few weeks in Calcutta, he would leave work, head back to his room at the hotel, and sleep. So, that was his main reason for not being online.

He was finally getting used to the ten-hour time difference. We talked about regular stuff online. We then moved to chatting on Skype. It was wonderful to hear his voice.

It has been a year since we have been together. He had told me last year that he found me attractive in our communal kitchen at work. We first really talked about ourselves and about what we enjoyed from an intimate, sexual perspective on Skype. So, chatting on Skype is special to both of us.

I still find that I am not as good doing phone sex as he is. Still, I can manage to get him off, so I can't be as bad as I think I am.

We chatted on Skype for a good hour, catching up on our lives. I missed him a lot. He felt the same way about me.

Our relationship continues to grow. In the past, we wouldn't really spend that much time on Skype chatting about what we ate for dinner or about my crappy Internet connection at home. But, we enjoy hearing what we have to say. We are good friends, which helps a ton in keeping a healthy relationship going, among other aspects.

My guy hadn't had dinner yet. So, we decided to break for a bit and come back. He said that "we'd get naughty" upon his return.

We reconvened on Skype. He asked me what I was wearing. I was working from home. I was in a tight, grey, short-sleeved t-shirt. I had a lacy, cream-coloured bra underneath. I was also wearing a pair of short shorts and a navy blue pair of lacy panties. My guy approved what I was wearing.

Phone sex with him is terrific. He knows what buttons to push without any hesitation.
"You know that I don't like when you are not online when I want you to be," he stated sternly.
"I was online, but I had to walk away briefly," I reasoned. "It wasn't my fault that you were impatient and logged off in less than ten minutes."
"You have a new cell phone," he pointed out. "You could have logged on to the Skype application, had it on vibrate, and placed it between your legs. When I would send you messages, you'd know."
"My phone doesn't have a case yet," I pointed out.
"Well, the point is that you need to be online all the time and you weren't," he said. "Besides, I would be making you happy if we had used your phone that way. We want to do the opposite. You need a good spanking for what you have done."
"I don't think so," I replied. "You're just being your usual mean, cruel, unreasonable self."
"Oh, really?" he mocked while questioning me. "You need to remember what you have done wrong."
He pointed out that my wearing my usual Gap jeans wouldn't be good, as it provided a bit of protection. He told me that he'd pull them down, exposing my lacy black panties covering my backside. He also would expose my legs.

My guy talked about using a wooden ruler hard across my backside, occasionally checking to see how wet I was. He said that he wouldn't hesitate to slap the backs of my thighs and calves. He then said that he's stop using the ruler and switch to spanking me with his bare hand. Hard smacks would ensue. I was incredibly turned on.
"Have you learned your lesson?" he asked me.
"Maybe," I said deliberately.
"Maybe? That's not good enough. You need far more discipline than I had imagined. I will tell you what. I will remove my leather belt, fold it up, take down your panties, and strap you."
My guy always brings an element of surprise to whatever we're doing. I don't like the belt in a real spanking, but it does make me extremely horny when I think about it.
"But, the belt will hurt," I whined.
"Your opinion is irrelevant," he pointed out. "It's what I want that is important. You are a slut. You are my slut and you need to remember your punishment, so it doesn't happen again."
He made me beg for him to stop and to tell him that I would be good.
"How are you going to make up for your disobedience?"
"Whatever you want me to do, I will do it," I replied without hesitation.
"You don't know what your master likes?" he asked me.
"I want to suck you."
"Yes, that is what I want," he said approvingly.
What is interesting is that my guy has never used master in any conversation that we have had. It's significant to me.

I described to him that he'd be standing up. I'd undo the button on his trousers and unzip the fly, pulling them down. I'd then take down his briefs. I'd kneel in front of him. I would then ask him for permission to hold his erect cock and place it in my mouth.

I'd look up at him. I'd kiss the tip of his penis and start licking it. I'd put more of his cock in my mouth, continuing to lick and enjoy having it move up and down in my mouth, feeling like a whore. I told him that he'd push the back of my head, so that I could have more of him in me, regardless of whether I felt like gagging. I liked the thought of him grabbing my hair.

I described having my manicured fingers wrapped around his cock. It didn't take too long for my guy to ejaculate.

It was midnight his time. He was content. He was sleepy. If I were with him, I would tuck him into bed, kiss his forehead, and cuddle up next to him.

Happy first year being together, sweetie.

Feels like high school, but we're at work, supposedly working

This post is late. I need to be dealt with. My tardiness is an issue. =)

Two Wednesdays ago, my guy and I were in a training session together. However, this week had a number of events that had occurred. The latest was that our medium-sized company that we worked for had been acquired by a rather large one.

The day before, there was an informal gathering about the news. Everyone in our training class completely missed this announcement. There was, however, going to be a formal rollout on Wednesday. Our manager indicated that we all had to be at this rollout, which was held at a hotel ballroom close by.

So, on Wednesday, my guy and I rode in a colleague's rented minivan. Our colleague was from the Chicago area and was also with us for training. He was nice to chat with. He had a new white iPhone 5. I got to hold it. It was impressive compared to my nearly three-year-old BlackBerry.

Anyway, my guy and I sat next to each other in the ballroom. Our relationship feels like we are high school kids. We seemed like insolent kids who just didn't care. It was partly because the vice president, who was describing the parent company, had a thick Italian accent and was based in Sweden. She was on a conference call in which the audio was poor. Whenever someone joined or left the conference, that person's name was announced to everyone that he had joined or left, respectively. It was highly annoying!

My guy was playing a number of games on his phone during the presentation. He first played a toss-the-crumpled-paper-ball-into-the-wastebasket game. He then played virtual pool, which he completely sucked at. I had to tease him. His sinking a ball by tilting his phone to will the ball into the pocket was not working. He scratched a number of times, which made me laugh. Then, he played some kind of twisted Tetris game that involved elements of nature.

There are moments where I want to put my guy over my knee and spank him. Today was one of them.

We cracked jokes throughout the entire presentation. I did something different, though. I had dropped my left hand between our chairs. I decided to touch the back of his thigh. My guy liked it. He actually moved his right calf closer. I caressed it for quite some time.

Eventually, I reached under his pant leg and felt his bare calf. It was nicely sculpted. I liked the feel of it. I did it discreetly. I could tell that my guy enjoyed every minute of it. Needless to say, I loved it, too.

We went back to the training room for the rest of the day. We occasionally showed signs of affection. He touched my thigh. I squeezed his. He came over and put his hand behind my back, which slide to my left buttock. He groped it. I was incredibly aroused.

It is rare for us to be in training together. I like it. I wish that we had training more often.

My guy told me afterwards that he thought that the day was special. I agreed. In fact, we both felt that the week was shaping up to be a memorable one.

Nail polish, footsie, and sleepyhead pictures

On Monday, my guy and I went out for lunch with another colleague. Our colleague is leaving the company in a couple of weeks and she wanted to spend some time chatting with us. It was great.

I drove us to the restaurant. My guy asked me whether I had changed my nail polish. He has never asked me that before. He normally holds my hands or looks down at my feet to figure that out.

I said that I did. He knows that I change my nail polish every week. I am not that diligent with my toenails. However, I went with painting my toenails with a shade called midnight blue, as the nights have been pretty cool for the past few days.

We got to the restaurant and sat down. My guy sat across from me. He looked under the table to see the colour of my toenails. He has a boyish charm about him that I absolutely love.

Under the table, he lightly brushed his shoe against the side of my sandal. I extended my leg and brushed my calf next to his. It was a nice moment. We have never played footsie in a restaurant before.

Our colleague had to use the washroom. My guy decided to snag my cell phone from me. I playfully tried to get it back, but he has longer arms than I do. He did admit to me that he is not as cell phone-savvy as I am. He wanted to see the two pictures that I had taken of him when he had dozed off at his cubicle.

So, I showed him my photos of him. He laughed hysterically. He wanted me to send them to him. That wouldn't be a problem.

I reassured him that I would not be sharing these pictures of my sleepyhead with anyone. They are just for us. I want them to be used in our role-playing scenarios. These pictures are supposed to get me in trouble and I get spanked for being disobedient.

It's fun to be mischievous. It looks like Friday will be my punishment day. I look forward to it!

Payment for driving my guy to the airport

In my previous post, I had indicated that I had taken a couple of pictures of my guy sleeping at his cubicle. I showed them to him today. He laughed. He liked them.

I advised my guy that I wouldn't use them maliciously. My guy is cute when he is a sleepyhead. I really took the pictures to provide an excuse for him to spank me. It's not that he needs a reason to do it, but it's fun to have one when you are about to be punished.

My guy (MG) logged on to Skype this afternoon. Normally, he initiates the chat. Today, I decided to start it.
Me: Are you awake?
MG: Yes. You won't need your phone camera today I suppose :)
Me: :(
Me: For now, you're safe
MG: You'll have other chances I'm sure
Me: Maybe
MG: Could u give me a ride to [Pearson Airport] terminal 3 around 6 or so? I don't have my car today!
Me: What happened to your car? Speeding ticket?
MG: no. long story!
Me: I can give you a lift. I don't mind a long story.
MG: I guess the longer the better
Me: Can I charge you $25 like the cab guy did from that terminal to get me to work to fetch my car?
Me: Cup size obviously doesn't matter to you, but length does. ;)
MG: :)
MG: Can I pay in services rather than cash?
Me: Maybe :)
Me: I've been thinking about that conversation we had last week. I would rather have you schedule our meetings. It fits our role-playing model nicely and I don't want to break something that doesn't require fixing.
Me: So, it may take several servicing sessions to pay me :)
MG: Deal :)
MG: Payment may be painful though
Me: I can handle it. Two broken implements sort of proves that... lol
MG: Were you sore much?
Me: I was on Saturday. It wore off on Sunday. It's all good. The level of service was excellent. :)
MG: Glad to hear it :)
MG: There is a lot more where that came from ;)
Me: I welcome that :)
Me: So, are you renting a car or something at the airport to get you back home or are you flying to Amsterdam?
MG: I wish I were flying to Amsterdam. I'm meeting a friend who's dropping someone off at the airport and will give me a ride.
Me: Ah, I see. Convenient timing all around. :)
MG: Yes :)
When I drove him to the airport, he caressed my right thigh and reached over to touch my clit. It was nice. We held hands for the entire journey. He was sweet.
"We need to take more driving trips to the airport together," he said with a smile on his face.
"I agree, but we still need our parking lot and treehouse," I replied, as we both smiled at each other.
