Speaking to a crowd and not being as petrified as I was in grade 7

Yesterday, I did a presentation online with an audience of twenty people who are my peers, including my manager's boss. I originally thought of creating a PowerPoint set of slides. One member on our team of four just said to present my points that I had summarized as my meeting minutes last week.

Well, I did. He decided to create a PowerPoint for his other group that he was leading. Geez, thanks!

On a good note, my presentation went so well that I have been asked to present it to my entire department. Yes, I will need to create PowerPoint slides. My minimalistic approach wasn't bad at all.

When I was in grade 7 and throughout most of my academic life, I was extremely nervous talking in front of roughly thirty people. I would rehearse a ton before doing any presentation. It helped.

I supposed that my work and life experiences talking within my team, training others, and hanging out with friends pre-pandemic have made me comfortable speaking in public. For yesterday's presentation, I didn't do much rehearsing or preparation work.

It's interesting how things change as you get older.

Ordering lunch for each other and being affectionate

On Monday, our lunch date was a bit rushed. It was still nice to be with my guy.

While my guy was driving us over to the restaurant, he looked over at my thighs.
"Your pants are very purple," he remarked.
"Yes. I have two pairs of purple pants, in case these ones bite the dust," I said.
"I like them," he said, placing his hand on my left thigh as he continued driving.
At the restaurant, we knew exactly what the other person wanted to have for lunch. It was to the point where he got my meal and I got his when our meals were being served! He likes the ginger beef. I like the spicy garlic chicken.

Knowing that we wanted to order shaved a lot of our typical waiting time.

The unfortunate part was that I didn't have a chance to caress his nicely shaved head. At least we got to hug and hold hands during our entire lunch date.

It's nice when he is in the office. We seem like high school sweethearts.

Thug-version of Macbeth on YouTube

My guy shared a YouTube video with me the other day. It was a summary of Shakespeare's Macbeth, explained by a thug. It was hilarious.

Part of me wishes that I had the video form when I had studied this play in grade 12. Instead, I had the equivalent of Coles Notes (Canadian version of Cliffs Notes) to read through, which helped a ton.

He knew that I would like this video. I like when we share such things with each other. It's fun and thoughtful.

Depression and signs of love

A friend of mine told me the other day that his son has been suspended from his high school for a few weeks. It kind of took me by surprise.

His son has been experimenting with some sort of drug in pill form. He has been taking it for at least a couple of weeks with some friends. Apparently, while he was high, he slapped the butt of a female student, which caused his suspension from school.

You hear all these stories about pills that get you high and how potent they can get. Some simply die from taking a single pill. So, I am grateful that his son is alive. However, there must be an underlying reason why he experimented with his friends.

My friend advised that his son is depressed. His son is in grade 9. I always feel that the transition between grades 6 and 7, and grades 8 and 9 to be the most difficult. For me, it was the former. I was incredibly depressed in grade 7 that I didn't want to go to school. It didn't make sense considering how much of I love to learn. I needed someone to talk about it, but I felt like I was being dismissed.

My cry for help was missing a ton of school. I managed to get counselling, which helped me talk things through and out. It made me realize that, despite missing nearly a month of school, that I still had decent marks. I still passed everything. I even managed to get the third highest mark in shop class out of all things!

His son is obese. His parents and daughter are bright as can be. He doesn't fit that mould. So, he is getting help by talking things through. I can only hope that things getting better for my friend's son and his family.

I told my guy about that. My guy and I know that both depression and anxiety tend to run in the family. Support is key. My guy has been doing pretty well getting help and being on medication. Naturally, it's different from one person to the next.
"I miss you," I said to him after our chat.
"Likewise," he told me. "I miss smacking your butt for being you."
"That makes me happy," I said.
My guy is happy and doing fine these days. I can't ask for anything more.

I went to the local drug store later that evening to pick up some vitamins. I found the purple sheep stuffed toy that my guy had bought me. There was only one left. It seemed like a nice sign that my guy is always with me, no matter where I go.

It's nice that I can come home and have reminders around that I am loved, especially when he is abroad.

A is for ancient computer - my first one

It's the first day of the Spanking A to Z challenge!

The other day, Han wrote a delightful post about his first computer. It's now my turn to go back into my technology archives and do the same.

My first computer seems ancient now. My asked my dad if I could get a Tandy 1000 SX that was in the Radio Shack flyer when I was in grade ten.

Mine looked like this one, minus the second floppy disk drive and joystick:

Courtesy: PC Museum
It seems so long ago. Radio Shack no longer exists in Canada. Instead, the chain is known as The Source. The Tandy line is long gone. Even the mall in which we went to get this laptop has been demolished!

Anyway, I was so happy with my Tandy computer. It had one 5.25" floppy disk drive. It had a rather tiny hard drive. The monitor was monochrome in a lovely shade of green. I also needed a printer, so we got a daisywheel printer that must have been two feet in width. It was a noisy printer such that I couldn't print at night. I would wake up everyone on our entire apartment floor!

Being the novice geeky girl back then, I accidentally wiped out the operating system disk information. I had to go back to Radio Shack and ask that the nice gentleman copy MS-DOS onto my blank floppy disk. He was nice to do that for me without charging the high school student anything.

After taking my first computer course in grade 11, I used my computer often. I programmed in BASIC. My favourite programming task that I did at my leisure (when I say that I was a geek, I was then, and still am) was creating a program that played songs that I liked. It isn't a huge surprise. I love music.

I ended up getting some fun games. I got Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune. My friends loved to come over and play them with me. Yes, they didn't mind that the wheel was in different shades of green on my monochrome screen.

I then got into Shareware programs. It is nice to play Frogger, among other classic games that I used to play on my Atari 2600.

I actually had this computer till my third year of undergraduate studies. I did a number of upgrades on my Tandy, including the RAM and hard disk drive. I even installed a 2400 bps modem, which was all the rage back then.

Eventually, being a computer science student, I had to upgrade my computer. I did, but I still had the computer until I graduated. I ended up donating my beloved Tandy and the daisywheel printer to a local charity in Winnipeg.

Memories are wonderful, especially when it comes to technology. What was your first computer

Instagram conjuring up good spanking memories

I came across this photo a few weeks ago. I have been a fan of Madonna since I was a teenager. These days, I am not as much as a diehard fan as I used to be. It is probably because her last album, MDNA, didn't do much for me.

I do like Instagram. I am an avid photographer. When I travel, I either have my digital SLR or my phone with me, depending on where I am going. For concerts, I can't bring such a large camera with me. Taking pictures on my phone is fun, but the quality doesn't compare to a real camera. I digress, though.

Anyway, I follow Madonna on Instagram and liked this photo:

When she released "Hanky Panky," I loved it. I was a teenager who liked the thought of giving and receiving birthday spankings. I wanted to be spanked, but did not have anyone to confide in.

I was still in high school when "Justify My Love" came out. I didn't understand bondage completely, but have always been aroused by having my hands tied while being spanked. These days, I am fortunate to have a guy who loves to spank me and to hold my hands down while he continues to punish me.

Feels like high school, but we're at work, supposedly working

This post is late. I need to be dealt with. My tardiness is an issue. =)

Two Wednesdays ago, my guy and I were in a training session together. However, this week had a number of events that had occurred. The latest was that our medium-sized company that we worked for had been acquired by a rather large one.

The day before, there was an informal gathering about the news. Everyone in our training class completely missed this announcement. There was, however, going to be a formal rollout on Wednesday. Our manager indicated that we all had to be at this rollout, which was held at a hotel ballroom close by.

So, on Wednesday, my guy and I rode in a colleague's rented minivan. Our colleague was from the Chicago area and was also with us for training. He was nice to chat with. He had a new white iPhone 5. I got to hold it. It was impressive compared to my nearly three-year-old BlackBerry.

Anyway, my guy and I sat next to each other in the ballroom. Our relationship feels like we are high school kids. We seemed like insolent kids who just didn't care. It was partly because the vice president, who was describing the parent company, had a thick Italian accent and was based in Sweden. She was on a conference call in which the audio was poor. Whenever someone joined or left the conference, that person's name was announced to everyone that he had joined or left, respectively. It was highly annoying!

My guy was playing a number of games on his phone during the presentation. He first played a toss-the-crumpled-paper-ball-into-the-wastebasket game. He then played virtual pool, which he completely sucked at. I had to tease him. His sinking a ball by tilting his phone to will the ball into the pocket was not working. He scratched a number of times, which made me laugh. Then, he played some kind of twisted Tetris game that involved elements of nature.

There are moments where I want to put my guy over my knee and spank him. Today was one of them.

We cracked jokes throughout the entire presentation. I did something different, though. I had dropped my left hand between our chairs. I decided to touch the back of his thigh. My guy liked it. He actually moved his right calf closer. I caressed it for quite some time.

Eventually, I reached under his pant leg and felt his bare calf. It was nicely sculpted. I liked the feel of it. I did it discreetly. I could tell that my guy enjoyed every minute of it. Needless to say, I loved it, too.

We went back to the training room for the rest of the day. We occasionally showed signs of affection. He touched my thigh. I squeezed his. He came over and put his hand behind my back, which slide to my left buttock. He groped it. I was incredibly aroused.

It is rare for us to be in training together. I like it. I wish that we had training more often.

My guy told me afterwards that he thought that the day was special. I agreed. In fact, we both felt that the week was shaping up to be a memorable one.

Passing out or being tipsy when being spanked

The other day, I had come across a brief YouTube video in which a young woman had passed out on her bed. It looked like she was a university student, for there were a bunch of her friends there in a dorm-like setting.

She was lying on her bed in her room, with her backside facing up. One of her friends came around and smacked her buttocks. She didn't flinch. She didn't react. She was out cold.

This video and my talk the other night with my guy got me thinking. My guy and I were having phone sex. He's in Montreal on a business trip.

I like the idea of being a chemistry student, who has to wear a uniform to school. Yes, I envisioned wearing a plaid, red, short skirt, a white blouse, white knee-high socks, and black Mary Jane shoes. My hair was done up in ponytails.

I was a horrible chemistry student. I decided to swipe the answer key off my teacher's desk one day. I memorized all the answers before the test and scored a high mark. My guy liked it and added to the story.

The following day, he called me into his office. He started to ask me questions about the test. I couldn't reproduce the answers. He approached me and said that I could be either expelled or punished. I didn't want to be expelled, so I had to be punished by him.

He stood next to me. He lifted up my skirt and spanked me over my panties. It lasted for quite some time, to the point where it hurt so much that I wasn't to collapse. I eventually did. He pulled me up and had me sit on his lap. He started to touch me, caressing my shoulders, kissing my face, and telling me that I was naughty for showing my thighs in class. I got spanked some more, but with my panties off.

We talked after we had both come. We talked about drinking. He gets aroused when he thinks about a woman who is intoxicated, which would allow him to have his way with her. He liked thinking about me that way. From a fantasy perspective, I can see why that sounds hot.

In reality, I am hardly the type to get drunk like that. I recall drinking three bottles of beer after a shift with a bunch of colleagues years ago. I had consumed the bottles of beer on an empty stomach. I wasn't even tipsy. They were Molson Canadians. I probably need to drink more bottles to feel the effect.

With spankings, I'd like to be relaxed, but I don't like the idea of being spanked and not feeling the impact. I like the thought of being giggly after several drinks and getting spanked for consuming too much alcohol than I'm accustomed to. I also like being tipsy and giggly, and cuddling with my guy with my sore, red bottom. Passed out drunk like that young woman on YouTube? Nah.

Merry Christmas!

Hi, everyone!  Yes, I spent the entire day slaving away over a hot stove, making Christmas dinner.  As everyone here has passed out, not because I'm a horrible cook, but because I made way too much food and everyone decided it was mandatory to shovel every edible morsel down, I will catch up with my blogging here.

The other day, a friend that I went to high school with posted a couple of great pictures of her getting her much deserved birthday spanking when she was sixteen:

Notice how many people it took to hold her down as each swat was being administered.  All I can say is I am envious!

Here's the aftermath:

A well-spanked bottom!

Merry Christmas, everyone!  I hope everyone's bottom is as red as Santa's suit.
