Scheduling meetings and having my performance review

My first day back at work went well. I impressed myself getting up at 6:45 am for a 7 am conference call.

I had a performance review meeting with my manager just after lunch. Before I went on vacation, he made it for 3 pm for an hour. I had 3:30 pm onwards blocked off as being out of the office on my calendar due to my early start. I also had a meeting at 3 pm.

I got to love when folks don't look at other people's calendars to schedule meetings. My favourite is my diva colleague who asked me to specify what time would work for best for me for her meeting when she clearly knew that I was training our new intern for two weeks.

Dumb. Just dumb.

Anyway, my performance review went well. My boss called me a "rock star." Not to sound weird or pompous, but I have earned it.

A human resources person recently spoke to my manager and did a review of each team member's salary. This HR guy asked my boss why my salary was "significantly higher" than the rest of my team colleagues.

Here's my short list:

• Experience - I have been doing my job for years. I have the most experience on the team.
• Competence - I do my job well and take pride in it. I also complete many tasks with quality and at a faster pace than the rest of my peers.
• Education - I'm the only one with a master's degree in this field.
• Knowledge - I have a lot of it. It explains why I train new employees joining our team.

My manager said everything he had to say about my skills and performance. I am working at a different level than the rest of the team. It's true, which satisfied the HR guy.

I have earned my salary through hard work. It's nice that I have a manager who agrees. I am looking forward to a bonus!

Snow tires and annoying people

On Wednesday, I got my winter tires installed on my car. It was an odd day.

I didn't get my usual service advisor. He was there. There were tons of customers, likely all getting winter tires installed.

I got a new advisor. I didn't like how he insisted that I was wrong. Well, I had to ask him to look up my records. If you don't believe me, check the facts that you have in your database.

This theme carried on to my incompetent colleague, who accused me of telling another colleague something incorrect. She wasn't even in my conversation. I had a text conversation with her other team lead. I copied and pasted it. I had proof.

I then told her to have facts before making ridiculous, nonsensical statements. She said that she was "merely asking a question." A question doesn't go into false accusations.

She's an idiot. Sadly, I have to put up with her.

19 facts about butts

A week ago or so, I stumbled across a post on social media about 19 things that everyone should know about butts. Since this post is my last one for April and it signifies my posting every day of this month, it is fitting to share a fun post with everyone.

Here are my thoughts about a few of these facts:

I have pygophilia (fact number 2). You can grope my butt or I can do the same to my guy, and it turns me on. I like looking at butts. I can't lie. I am fortunate that my guy has a cute one. It's a wonderful distraction!

My guy is dasypyga (fact number 4). Well, I don't think he has a full-on hairy butt. It's fuzzy and I love it.

Although I love being spanked these days, I suppose that it's true that women tend to be spankees than spankers (fact number 10). I am still a switch, though. I fantasize about my guy spanking me, but I also enjoy thinking about having my guy over my knee for a hard spanking. A girl can dream! 

I am not sure about fact number 13, which mentions that people with big butts produce smart kids. My parents don't exactly have huge backsides. I would like to think that I am a fairly bright woman. I will need to ask my guy whether his parents have huge butts. He's an incredibly intelligent person. 

Finally, I like eating fruits and vegetables. I haven't asked my butt whether it is happy (fact number 16). However, I think it's more about being regular than having a happy bottom here. Then again, what do I know?

I do know that I love spankings and how aroused I get. That's my fact.

 Here are ten random tidbits about me that you may have already figured out from reading my blog:

1. I like to give and receive spankings. With the ex-husband, we were both switches, although he seemed to like to get spanked than spank me towards the end (no pun intended) of our marriage. My guy spanks me these days. He is open to receiving a spanking, but I have not pressured him into it. When he is ready, I will be, too. For now, I enjoy being spanked by him, so all is good.
2. I have lived in two Canadian provinces and spent two years working in the United States. I am Canadian and never expected to move to a different country for employment, but am certainly glad that I had that opportunity.
3. I am a writer by trade. However, the professional writing that I do has a completely different style than how I write in this blog. I also write in this blog in the wee hours of the morning, so expect typos that will get fixed when I am more alert down the road!
4. Growing up, I was a tomboy. I still feel that I am. My guy is extremely supportive and encouraging. These days, I am comfortable with wearing sexy underwear and short skirts for him. They were his suggestions, but he has never forced them on me. I just want to make things fun for us and I like feeling good in them.
5. I was never spanked as a child. I was always a goody-goody. I was the geeky girl who never did anything wrong. I suppose that is one reason why I enjoy being spanked. It turns me on when my guy tells me that I have been naughty, simply because it is not the case in real life. I enjoy being bad. It's kind of my "dark side," according to my guy. He likes that side of me.
6. The thought of having anal sex both intrigues and scares me. My guy and I are novices. For the past few months, he has been fingering my butt, which we both enjoy. So, we are taking baby steps. 8. I am a music enthusiast. I have over 19,000 songs on my iPod. My guy likes music, but he isn't a fanatic like I am!
9. My guy is the first guy I have dated who is taller than I am. He is 6'. I am 5'10".
10. I can't stand listening to my recorded voice. When I pick up my voicemail and hear my voice recording, I have to immediately skip over it. It's strange, but I have been told that I have a nice voice. I just can't stand having it played back. I literally cover my ears and want to curl up in the fetal position until the pain subsides.
