Hot water and a lockdown are back!

The good news is that I have a new hot water heater. It was installed on Friday and I am so pleased to have hot water again!

I enjoyed taking a warm shower on Friday night that I didn't bother writing a post yesterday.

On Monday, York region goes into lockdown. I frankly won't notice much of a difference, other than getting my hair cut on Saturday before said lockdown. I had already scheduled it before the lockdown announcement was made on Friday. Great timing!

I mainly go out to fetch groceries, hit the drug store, and order takeout. These stores will all be available during lockdown.

Wear a mask! An older couple were amazing enforcers

As of Friday, July 17, it's a bylaw where I live to wear a mask in public indoor areas. I realize that it's tough switching over, but it depends on the store and whether wearing a mask is being reinforced.

At Shoppers Drug Mart, a man asked me if I was in the lineup for the self-checkout. Nope, I was in the human checkout instead.

He had no mask. I wanted to say something. Obviously, everyone else was masked. He didn't get the hint. Shoppers Drug Mart wasn't spending time enforcing the bylaw.

An older woman behind me said loudly, "Isn't it a bylaw to wear a mask?" I turned around and said yes. She thanked me for answering back. Her husband joined her in the lineup and they both went on about it.

Another man came in and clearly was not wear a mask. These two folks gave him quite the talk that he went out to his truck, got his mask, wore it, and came back into the store.

I loved this couple. Great job!

Weekend and countdown to vacation

I'm glad that the weekend is here.

If I'm not mistaken, my vacation is coming up. It is weird that I'm not travelling somewhere and staying at a hotel for a week. Instead, I'm doing a staycation and will do day trips.

Friday was the first day of patios and businesses opening up. There are strict guidelines going into phase 2. I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm happy that businesses can serve customers in a patio setting. Although some of my favourite retail stores have reopened, I don't have any desire to shop there. I'm good with hitting the grocery store, restaurants for takeout, and the drug store.

I'm content with what I have. What I need are essentials.

I am also optimistic about my debt situation, too. I'm paying more of it off thanks to staying and working from home. It's such a great feeling.

My anxiety has died down. It's not completely gone, but I barely noticed it on Friday. It's a great sign.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Drugstore to get clarifying shampoo

I go out on Wednesdays after work to get groceries and takeout. For a while, I have passed by a fairly new drug store. I have meant to drop by and finally did after I got groceries last night.

It's nice. There were a grand total of two customers in there. The two employees were happy to see me. One of them was great in telling me where the shampoo aisle was.

My hair has been falling out more than it usually does. I have a feeling that it's a combination of its regular hair cycle and the stress that I have endured at work for the past couple of weeks.

I needed a clarifying shampoo. The ones that I am currently using cause my scalp to itch. I finally got some at this drug store. I was thrilled that it was on sale, too.

I loved how friendly staff were. I liked the selection. I'm glad that I finally stopped by.

Here's hoping that the clarifying shampoo works.

Happy with simplicity

My Mac mini is acting up again. I'm currently drafting this post on my phone.

I have been contemplating getting a replacement Mac mini for a while. Despite it being down once a month, I don't feel the need to splurge.

Today, Winners, a chain of fashion and food stores, is reopening. I don't feel the excitement. I don't have any need to be there.

I'm perfectly content getting groceries and dropping by the drugstore a couple of times a week. I only get what I need. It's good to keep things simple. It keeps me content and sane.

Breaking out of the house twice a week and safely fetching ramen while out

With the COVID-19 pandemic, I only go out twice a week to for groceries and essentials. I go out on Wednesdays after working from home and on Saturdays.

I feel for eateries these days, especially the local, smaller ones. I tend to order online and pick my food up while I'm out getting groceries and dropping by the drugstore.

On Saturday, I found a ramen place roughly ten minutes away. It is offering all ramen at 50% off its regular price. Wow! I love ramen. Not only did I get some ramen, but decided to get two appetizers that would equal the discount.

When I went to pick it up, I was between two sets of doors. A man working there greeted me behind the second glass door. It was cool. He let me know that my food was on the table. I looked and was so happy. I thanked him. He wished me a good day. I reciprocated.

The food was amazing and delicious. I will be back for more.

Decongestant and noise

I went out first thing today to get cold medicine with decongestant. My local drug store opens at 9 am. I got there a few minutes early.

It'a amazing how well decongestant work. I also notice when it wears off. Ugh!

My staycation is going well. I am checked into the hotel. It got a bit noisy with families enjoying chatting in the hallway of my floor after I had checked in, in front of the elevator. Geez, that's convenient for me trying to roll my luggage past an audience. Luckily, I have earplugs.

Here's hoping that I can get some rest.

Getting free stuff and making a cashier laugh

On Saturday, I went out to run a few errands. One of my stops was at Shoppers Drug Mart (SDM). It was having a points redemption offer.

Normally, if you have 100,000 PC Optimum points, you can redeem them towards $100 worth of items at SDM. For this entire weekend, you can get an additional $40 worth of free stuff when you redeem 100,000 points.

I took advantage of this offer. I ended up redeeming 110,000 and got $150 worth of free stuff.

I had an enthusiastic male cashier.
"It feels like I have won the jackpot today," I said.
"I wish that I had that many points. I only have 2,000," he admitted.
"It does take a bit of time to accumulate them," I noted.
"I get discounts towards snacks, so I'm getting there," he replied.
"I'd love your job!" I said, which made him laugh.
Seriously, getting discounts on snacks sounds heavenly to me.

Depression and signs of love

A friend of mine told me the other day that his son has been suspended from his high school for a few weeks. It kind of took me by surprise.

His son has been experimenting with some sort of drug in pill form. He has been taking it for at least a couple of weeks with some friends. Apparently, while he was high, he slapped the butt of a female student, which caused his suspension from school.

You hear all these stories about pills that get you high and how potent they can get. Some simply die from taking a single pill. So, I am grateful that his son is alive. However, there must be an underlying reason why he experimented with his friends.

My friend advised that his son is depressed. His son is in grade 9. I always feel that the transition between grades 6 and 7, and grades 8 and 9 to be the most difficult. For me, it was the former. I was incredibly depressed in grade 7 that I didn't want to go to school. It didn't make sense considering how much of I love to learn. I needed someone to talk about it, but I felt like I was being dismissed.

My cry for help was missing a ton of school. I managed to get counselling, which helped me talk things through and out. It made me realize that, despite missing nearly a month of school, that I still had decent marks. I still passed everything. I even managed to get the third highest mark in shop class out of all things!

His son is obese. His parents and daughter are bright as can be. He doesn't fit that mould. So, he is getting help by talking things through. I can only hope that things getting better for my friend's son and his family.

I told my guy about that. My guy and I know that both depression and anxiety tend to run in the family. Support is key. My guy has been doing pretty well getting help and being on medication. Naturally, it's different from one person to the next.
"I miss you," I said to him after our chat.
"Likewise," he told me. "I miss smacking your butt for being you."
"That makes me happy," I said.
My guy is happy and doing fine these days. I can't ask for anything more.

I went to the local drug store later that evening to pick up some vitamins. I found the purple sheep stuffed toy that my guy had bought me. There was only one left. It seemed like a nice sign that my guy is always with me, no matter where I go.

It's nice that I can come home and have reminders around that I am loved, especially when he is abroad.

Behind the scenes

The events that I am about to share occurred nearly a month ago, when I was in New Jersey for a work-related course. It was a Wednesday. Funny how I can remember the day nearly a month ago, but I can't remember much that occurred this past week!

Anyway, I visited the local Walgreens by the hotel to get a GPS window clamp for my guy. We are more alike as we get to know each other. We both lost the bracket that secures the GPS to the suction cup. I found what I needed at the drug store a couple of days ago. After finding out that my guy needed one, I went out and got another one.

I then drove back to the hotel and freshened up. I dropped my laptop off at my room and then drove to my guy's hotel. He had given me one of his card keys to get into his room. I also brought some bottles of water and peanuts, in case we both needed something to drink and snack on.

I got to his room ten minutes before he did. He had visited Home Depot and took pictures of an antique car show.

My guy had a two-hour seminar to attend online. He had bought a tuna sandwich with an apple and a Diet Pepsi. I appreciated everything, but told him that he didn't have to get that particular drink just for me. He doesn't drink diet soda. He told me that he cares about me, what I like, and what makes me happy. He also said that he was glad that he had given me his room key.

While he was talking online, I managed to fall asleep on the couch for half an hour while waiting for iOS 7 to install on my phone. He knew that I had fallen asleep.  He told me later that he was checking up on me.

After he was done with his seminar, we went out for dinner at the Bonefish Grill. I had a yummy wood-grilled swordfish with pumpkin ravioli. I also pigged out on the key lime pie.

He asked about my menstrual cycle. He had told me the previous evening that he wished that it were over, as he desperately wanted to have quality time with me. I had told him yesterday that it was over. After dinner, he immediately wanted to go to Walgreens to get some supplies.

We got to the hotel. We kissed and basically moved ourselves onto his king-sized bed. He pleasured me twice. I had missed his touch and missed having him in me.

He told me that he wanted to try anal sex tonight. We had been planning this moment for a while, but I wasn't prepared for it tonight. I was game, though.

I asked him whether he had lubricant. He forgot to get some at the drug store. Instead, he used what natural juices I had going on, along with his lubricated condom, to make things easier.

I was kneeling on the bed, with my backside facing him. It took a bit of fiddling around, but he successfully inserted his hard cock in me from behind. I gasped and screamed initially. The screaming is different, as I am not known as a screamer. He loved that I had screamed in pleasure!

My head hit the headboard as he was thrusting his hard member in and out of me. I moved a pillow in front of my head, which made things better. He had his legs on mine initially, but shifted them.

It didn't hurt as much as I had thought. We both agreed that we needed to try it again. We also agreed that we loved handjobs and blowjobs more.

We had a brief post-mortem. I suggested that he spank me before having anal sex. That way, I would be even more lubricated and excited. I also liked the idea of being bent over a desk to be spanked first and then taken from behind. The problem with the bed is that we are roughly the same height, which caused a bit of awkwardness with my guy inserting his erect member in me from behind. I also suggested that my head not be so close to the bed's headboard! He agreed.

It wasn't bad for a first time. It's good that we're willing to try it again.

We talked for a bit. I was reflecting about an incident that had occurred a month ago. I was starting to get sad and to tear up. My guy knew it. Without hesitation, he hugged me tightly and reassured me that everything would be okay.

At the end of the evening, we were both sitting at the edge of the bed. I had pulled on my pants. My guy was sitting next to me with his boxers on. His bare legs exposed was different. Normally, our roles are reversed here.

He wanted me to stay. I wanted to, too. However, I needed to go back to the hotel and change my outfit for the following workday. I said that I'd spend the night the following evening. He liked that a lot.

We kissed. I tucked him into bed, gave him a kiss on his forehead, and left. I drove back to the hotel. It was just after 01:00. I was happy, as I am sure that he was, too. Sweet dreams to both of us.

Implements at Shoppers Drug Mart

I was in Shoppers Drug Mart after work today, doing some last-minute Christmas shopping. I went to the hair accessories section and found a couple of hair brushes that got me rather aroused. They were square and ressembled paddles. It made me want to buy one, bring it home, put myself over G's knee, have him take down my pants and panties, and spank me hard with the paddle until my bare bottom turned pink.

I'd like the hair brush paddle for Christmas, please.
