Nearly sideswiped by a woman who did not check her blindspot

One of my biggest fears is driving next to someone who does not check her blindspot. It happened to me last night.

I was driving home and a car moved into my lane, almost hitting me. I moved into the middle turn lane and honked at her for a long time. My car has a decent whiny, annoyed tone that she finally moved over. It was scary. It made me angry.

I finally got to take a look at the person as I managed to pass her several minutes later. She was an older woman with silver hair. She looked embarrassed and didn't look at me.

I do wish that folks would take the time to do a shoulder check. It can save lives. It can also make them better drivers.

When I got my car, one of the features that I wanted was as much of a clear view around me while driving. I didn't get that when I tested the C-HR. I love that I do with my Corolla hatchback.

I am a bit rattled, but I'll be okay.

Canning delays and relaxing with Airpods

I am hoping that this post is the last one about the toxic diva for a bit. She is still going to be canned. My manager has already initiated the process. The downside is that there is a legal process within the company. As a result, she won't be gone on Monday, so there is a delay.

I can only hope that she is gone sometime next week. She worked from home on Friday. Her e-mails got me so annoyed that my manager hinted that I should watch my blood pressure. Although he has the occasional, odd lapse in judgment, his heart is generally in the right place. He stepped in and replied, putting her in place. I de-stressed by getting a cup of hot chocolate.

He had a conversation with my mini-me, in private. He basically hinted that he was going to give her a number of added responsibilities, which she welcomes. He asked her to keep it confidential until he works out all the details. In other words, he has not let her know about the diva being canned, which I expected.

He proceeded to tell her that we need to be respectful with others and be professional. He added that there have been a ton of negative comments and rumours taking place about others. He confided in me, saying that judging by the look of my mini-me, she nodded. He knew that she had been affected by such negativity recently.

It's interesting that I don't see my working relationship changing with both my mini-me and my student after the diva's negative comments. My stance still holds true. If you have worked with me and know me, you know the truth. I don't need a diva to poison their minds with false, negative perceptions about me.

Thank goodness it's the weekend. I am unwinding.

I recently got a pair of AirPods. I don't think that I have paid so much for a pair of earbuds. However, the sound is incredible and I am enjoying not being chained to my device. The fact that they automatically connect and disconnect when you put them in their pod case is pretty cool. And, yes, I have them paired with a non-Apple device. They work well.

V is for valuing my short skirt #AtoZchallenge

I tend to sleep in on Saturdays. My guy was sweet to call me a bit later than usual on Saturday.
"Hey," I said on the phone, with a green drink in my hand.
"Hey, did I wake you up?" he asked cautiously.
"Do I sound sleepy?" I asked him.
"I didn't want to call early, so I waited," he remarked.
"You're sweet. I have been up since 10:20," I advised, which meant that I had been up for over an hour.
We chatted. I had just finished blending my green drink in my mixer and was busy pouring the extra in a bottle. He liked that I was enthusiastic about my new blending kick.
"Can you wear your skirt for me?" he asked me.
"I can. The earlier that we meet, the shorter it will be," I teased.
My guy loves seeing my legs in a skirt. The weather called for a temperature of 15°C, so it was definitely warm enough to wear one.

That afternoon, he was thrilled to see me in my short skirt. At the end of our time together on Saturday, he admired how short it was, and caressed both my thighs.

We were both in the backseat of his car. He deliberately watched me exit his car. He whistled at me. He liked what he saw.

It's amazing how happy he is when I wear a short skirt.

Apart again on Valentine's Day and we're good waiting for the following weekend

Happy Valentine's Day! Sure, this day has become more about materialistic gifts and chocolate. Naturally, you should show your love towards your significant other throughout the year.

And, if you are single, do know that you are loved and appreciated. This day should not make you feel low in spirits. Enjoy your day!

My guy and I are apart on Valentine's Day. It is practically the norm. We rarely are together, as he is often on the road in February.

The other day, we chatted on Skype.
"The Volkswagen Polo that I am renting is a small car. It's not built for talk people like me. I have to ease my butt into the seat first, and then place the rest of me in it," my guy explained.
"If I were your passenger, I would get a nice view of your butt," I noted.
"Thanks, sweetness," he replied.
"It's true," I confirmed.
"I will get a nice view of your butt next week when I spank it," he confirmed.
"But, I'm a good girl. How many times do I have to tell you that?" I asked him.
"By the time I am done spanking you, you will know how bad you have been," he replied.
We have less than a week to go. We can't wait to see each other.

I decided to get a hotel room for next weekend. It means that I can sleep in on Monday morning and not kill myself during my morning commute to work. It will also be nice for us to get reacquainted in a comfortable room. I am pleased that my stay is free. Thank goodness I have accumulated plenty of hotel points to redeem for such occasions.

Tugging on lacy panties while in spanking stance

I saw this photo on Twitter a while back, while I was on vacation. I wish I remembered where I found it, so I could provide proper credit for the photo. I do like it.

I like lacy panties, such as the ones displayed. They make me feel feminine. They are comfortable. My guy likes them, too. I'd imagine that this photo is the view that my guy has when he lowers them before spanking me.

The only difference is the assumed position. I tend to be higher up on the bed, where my torso is actually all on the bed. I am also not wearing patterned high heels!

I don't own a pair of reddish lacy panties. Perhaps it's because I know that my backside will end up in that colour. They look nice in this photo. I should reconsider.

March question: When did you used to give spankings?

This question is a rather loaded one from Autumn, but it's a good one. I will begin with her questions and her thoughts:
OK, I don't know you very well, so this question may have been answered, but when DID you used to give spankings? I sometimes wonder if I would enjoy it--I certainly love getting them, and I absolutely love-tapping and squeezing my husband's butt, but I'm not sure I would enjoy giving a full out spanking. Tell me your experiences!
The easiest answer would be to read through the beginning of my blog. I talk about how I am a switch and how I became interested in spanking. At the time, I was married to a man who enjoyed being spanked, so it was easy for me to enjoy giving spankings as much as I enjoyed receiving them.

I think that giving a spanking depends on several factors. For me, I gave birthday spankings growing up, and both experienced and witnessed spankings. It stopped until I started dating my then-boyfriend, who is now my ex-husband, so I had some experience. However, spanking him was my first adult experience.

You obviously need your husband's support. Has he hinted that he would like to trying receiving a spanking?

It doesn't hurt (no pun intended!) to experiment. You can continue giving him love taps or playfully administer a light spanking and see how he feels. It will also allow you to figure out whether you enjoy this role or if you'd sooner be on the receiving end.

For me, I have always been turned on by either my doing the spanking or my getting my backside warmed up. So, go ahead and try it out. You will never know whether you'll truly like it until you start with small steps and work your way up. If it doesn't go well, you know that you'll always have a rosy red bottom to look forward to.

I hope that my answer helps! I wish you all the best.

If you have any questions for me, please let me know in the Comments section. Thanks!

Patching up things and booking a hotel for next month

In general, my guy and I don't have too many disagreements, but we did last week. It has been a series of things that has built up, which caused us to both unload our feelings and talk things through.

The talk was good and much needed. We both felt relieved and less stressed.

My guy can get pretty paranoid, which puts a damper on things. Although we are pretty good at not putting our hands on each other in the office, he ends up putting unnecessary restrictions on various details.

Next month, my guy and I will be in Turkey. He will be there for two weeks for work. I will come join him a week later. I will be on vacation for a week. He always likes when I keep him company. It gives us more time together after work to dine, talk, shop, and be tourists together.

My guy tends to stay at the closest hotel to the office. It makes logical, perfect sense. However, he wanted me to initially stay at a different hotel, in case colleagues recognize both of us at the hotel and spread some sort of vicious rumours about us.

So, I had it. I told him that a lot of people know that we're an item, but the likelihood that colleagues in Turkey would know who I am is slim. It also isn't cost-effective for us to be staying at two different hotels, commuting between the two to meet up. And, how about quality time? It may seem exciting to have two places to cuddle and be intimate, but the setup is an unnecessary inconvenience.

I told him flat out that we need to stay in the same hotel. We compromised. He agreed that the hotel closest to the office didn't have much around there.

Today, he wrote me an e-mail and said that he booked us at a hotel close to the downtown area where there is tons of shopping. I looked at this hotel and its location. He did a mighty good job. The view is spectacular. The hotel looks posh. I am not used to staying at such a place.

He is making up for his errors in judgment. I accept. Next month can't come any sooner!

My guy is back in town!

It's tough being in a relationship with someone who is on the road fairly often. My guy has been away for just over a month. This afternoon, he came into the office after flying home on a bunch of flight segments, which totalled 36 hours.

He looked pretty refreshed when he walked into the office. It was nice to lay eyes on him. Mind you, looking at him is easy on my eyes. Then again, I am biased.

There has been a lot of change since he was last in the office. I have been training a colleague who will be taking some of my workload off my plate. I finally had the opportunity to introduce her to him. He immediately asked me if I was feeling less stressed. It's still early in the game (I was doing the workload of nearly four people), but it's nice that I have someone else to help me out. It's a question of training my new colleague these days.

Although my guy said that he was tired, we continued talking. We have a colleague, Swiss Miss, who is here for a few more months before she returns back to her homeland. Although Swiss Miss seems more confident when she talks these days, she still asks tons of questions about work that she should know by now. Her questions make her seem like she lacks confidence. My guy and I had the following conversation.
"She is young," he indicated. "She hasn't even started university."
"Yes, I know," I indicated, except that when I was twenty years of age, I wasn't that needy.
"She needs a lot of hand-holding," noted my guy. "I would love to be hand-held by you, too."
"You are still the charming, sweet talker that I know," I said, smiling. "You're so smooth."
"I have missed you," he admitted. "I have missed your charming smile, your cute chin, ... you look good."
"You are starting to embarrass me with your flattery," I admitted, still smiling.
"I hope that you don't go into the fetal position," he stated, also smiling.
"I may have to under my desk," I said. "But, thanks [for the compliments.] Not to change the subject, but you look good in baby blue."
He smiled, not because I actually was changing the subject, but that he liked what I had said. He was wearing a shirt that I have never seen him wear. It was a blue, short-sleeved polo shirt. The baby blue colour brought out his eyes. He looked so good in it. He also revealed that it was one of his favourite shirts.

Towards the end of the day, we both walked out the door. I walked ahead of him. My guy didn't realize that another male co-worker was behind him until we all got into the elevator. My guy didn't bother holding the door for him.

Yes, my guy was too distracted at looking at my backside. It's nice that my guy is back. I am sure that my bottom will be sore again once he has had plenty of sleep and rest.

The post -- whipping post, that is

I have said that I find DJ to be a closet spanko. Last week, I overheard him talking to another colleague of mine about a sales order he was working on. She basically suggested a way of resolving the problem he was dealing with.

He then said this to her:

If I did that, I'd be tied to the post and whipped.

I recall being at a party hosted by the ex-vice president of client services a couple of summers ago. DJ was there with his wife and a number of my colleagues. He was talking about this one project manager who commented on his walk. He didn't know how to take it.

What? Are you looking at my ass when I'm walking?

I don't know if the project manager thinks that his backside is cute. I know that I do.

Bottom-browsing

Okay, I was going to talk about my interest in birthday spankings, but I'll save that for my next entry. I'll be turning in soon, so I wanted to write something brief that happened on Friday, before I forget about it.

During our lunch break on Friday, DJ and I went to Costco to get some items. We were in the men's clothing section. I was looking at the jeans stacked up on the table. DJ said that he was wearing jeans he had purchased at this store last week.

"Do my jeans have the Kirkland brand on them or the Tommy Hilfiger?" he asked me.

I was too busy looking at his cute, spankable bottom to even pay attention. Several seconds later, I snapped out of this daydream temporarily.

"I can't tell," I said. Luckily, his belt was over the brand name, so what I had said made sense.

"I'm pretty sure they're Kirklands," he said, as he continued to push the cart forward with our items.

Hey, I'm no dummy. I tried to stay behind him for most of our time there. We are both married, but that doesn't mean that I can't admire his bottom. I can look at the goods. Sadly, I can't do any smacking.

*sigh* Life is so rough... ha!
