Sleep and hope for next weekend

I slept a lot better last night. I was tired, so my sleep was sound.

My weekend is drawing to an end. Here's hoping that this week is a good one and the weekend arrives for everyone to enjoy!

Spanking fantasies

After work yesterday, I spent some time thinking about being spanked. I fantasized about getting a harder spanking because I haven't been spanked for a while.

I enjoy the thought of being over a man's lap, having my panties pulled down, and getting a sound hand spanking. It makes me highly aroused and happy.

This weekend will be perfect for a self-spanking session.

Canning delays and relaxing with Airpods

I am hoping that this post is the last one about the toxic diva for a bit. She is still going to be canned. My manager has already initiated the process. The downside is that there is a legal process within the company. As a result, she won't be gone on Monday, so there is a delay.

I can only hope that she is gone sometime next week. She worked from home on Friday. Her e-mails got me so annoyed that my manager hinted that I should watch my blood pressure. Although he has the occasional, odd lapse in judgment, his heart is generally in the right place. He stepped in and replied, putting her in place. I de-stressed by getting a cup of hot chocolate.

He had a conversation with my mini-me, in private. He basically hinted that he was going to give her a number of added responsibilities, which she welcomes. He asked her to keep it confidential until he works out all the details. In other words, he has not let her know about the diva being canned, which I expected.

He proceeded to tell her that we need to be respectful with others and be professional. He added that there have been a ton of negative comments and rumours taking place about others. He confided in me, saying that judging by the look of my mini-me, she nodded. He knew that she had been affected by such negativity recently.

It's interesting that I don't see my working relationship changing with both my mini-me and my student after the diva's negative comments. My stance still holds true. If you have worked with me and know me, you know the truth. I don't need a diva to poison their minds with false, negative perceptions about me.

Thank goodness it's the weekend. I am unwinding.

I recently got a pair of AirPods. I don't think that I have paid so much for a pair of earbuds. However, the sound is incredible and I am enjoying not being chained to my device. The fact that they automatically connect and disconnect when you put them in their pod case is pretty cool. And, yes, I have them paired with a non-Apple device. They work well.

Cell phone restored from water damage

This post is a mild segue from my intended spanking experience that happened last Saturday.

A cell phone owner's worst nightmare finally happened to me. I dropped my cell phone in water.

The good news is that I quickly retrieved, cleaned, and dried my iPhone off. Everything seemed to function. Well, that's what I thought.

I could still use my phone as I normally would. I listened to podcasts through bluetooth in my car. I could plug in my earbuds and listen to music. E-mail and browsing was fine.

I woke up on Tuesday and didn't hear my phone's alarm. I woke up to my trusty alarm on my ancient iPod touch. I have had this iPod touch for probably nine years. It doesn't die and it works well as an alarm clock.

My morning wake-up routine consists of streaming music. I heard nothing. I tried playing songs on my phone. Nothing. My speakers were dead on my phone.

When a colleague over a year ago had dropped her phone into the toilet at work, I told her to stick it in a bag of rice. She did that and her phone was saved. I decided to do the same to see if my speakers would come back to life. I also read online that sticking a Q-tip in the earphone part and moving it around will soak up some of the water.

I stuck my phone in a bag of rice at 07:30. I retrieved my phone at 22:00. I used a Q-tip on my phone's earphone area and then powered on my iPhone. Guess what? My speakers work again!

Earlier in the day, my guy and I had a lunch date. I told him about my dropping my phone in the sink. He said that it's normal and that I did everything correctly.

I am geeky in the sense that I own two phones. Obviously, I use my iPhone. I also have a BlackBerry Passport. I love both of my phones for different reasons.

My guy admired that I chose two completely different phones running different operating systems. They look completely different and function differently. He also liked that I can switch seamlessly between the two.

He's sweet for loving a naughty geeky girl.

P is for premonition - the kiss

I have been sleeping pretty well as of late. I don't know if it's because work has been stressful for a while that it tires me out or if I have genuinely figured out how to get some quality sleep.

It has been quite some time since I dreamt of my guy. I usual dream of him when I miss him a ton. Being preoccupied with work and dealing with my ex-hubby's death could be two reasons why I haven't had sweet dreams of my guy.

Last night, I dreamt of my guy kissing me on the lips. He has full, soft lips. His kiss was wonderful, to the point where I felt like I was losing myself in it.

In my dream, I was sleeping on my back. He tenderly kissed me.

I woke up smiling. I was happy. I then realized that it was a dream and was temporarily disappointed that it wasn't real. I was then fine with feeling my guy's presence with me.

Granted, it's always better to have a real kiss or more. Since my guy and I are working from home this week (I'm at home for a couple of days, whereas he is working the entire week from home), I'll take my dream kiss.

I do miss him. Luckily, we are both in the office next week. I won't be dreaming when I kiss him next week.

W is for whack

Most of the time, my guy spanks me with his bare hand, mostly across my bare bottom. I love how intimate and physical the spanking is. He told me that he can feel his hand ache as he is spanking me hard.

The neat part about his reaction? He never complains about how sore his hand feels. He enjoys it. I am glad. I love when he spanks me hard.

I do like when he uses other implements, too. Sure, using them seems like an extension of his arm and a good substitute for his hand, but we both prefer a sound hand spanking for me.

It's the sound of a wooden paddle across my backside that arouses me. He has never used the one that I have had for years. In my car, I have a wooden, thick ruler, which we both love. It comes in handy! I am thinking of having him use a thicker, wider wooden paddle on me soon.

There is something about wood being used in a spanking or paddling that I like. I enjoy the sting and sound that it makes. I like looking at my butt afterward in the mirror and seeing how rosy-coloured it is.

He will need to easy me in when it comes to the intensity of the paddling. It has been a while. It is also a new implement and experience for him.

It'll be a nice present to him and for my birthday. I can't wait!
