Spanking interest, fish jealousy, and laser eye surgery

It's enjoyable teasing my guy. I basically teased him about how he will not let me drive his car. I tried convincing him -- that sharing means caring. Nope. His car is his baby.

He mentioned wanting to be spanked today. I suppose the light spankings that he has received so far are making him want to explore being spanked some more. I love his enthusiasm. The only downside is that he's not here!

He returns home in a few days. He has not been enjoying his commute from his hotel to work in Dublin. It took him nearly two hours today. So, he is changing hotels and moving closer to the office.

As for me, I am interested in finding decent fish supplies for my pet betta. My guy thinks that I am taking my fish way too seriously. I don't think that I am overdoing it. Perhaps he is jealous that I am pampering my fish more these days.

Anyway, my guy is interested in getting laser eye surgery. I have done a decent amount of research over the years. My prescription isn't bad. My optometrist doesn't think that it's worth it for me to have the surgery. My guy would be a better candidate.

"I like when you're not wearing your glasses. You look good," I told him.
"Thanks, sweetie," he replied. "The only problem is that I have bags under my eyes and my glasses hide them."

The secret is out at long last.

March question: When did you used to give spankings?

This question is a rather loaded one from Autumn, but it's a good one. I will begin with her questions and her thoughts:

OK, I don't know you very well, so this question may have been answered, but when DID you used to give spankings? I sometimes wonder if I would enjoy it--I certainly love getting them, and I absolutely love-tapping and squeezing my husband's butt, but I'm not sure I would enjoy giving a full out spanking. Tell me your experiences! 

The easiest answer would be to read through the beginning of my blog. I talk about how I am a switch and how I became interested in spanking. At the time, I was married to a man who enjoyed being spanked, so it was easy for me to enjoy giving spankings as much as I enjoyed receiving them.

I think that giving a spanking depends on several factors. For me, I gave birthday spankings growing up, and both experienced and witnessed spankings. It stopped until I started dating my then-boyfriend, who is now my ex-husband, so I had some experience. However, spanking him was my first adult experience.

You obviously need your husband's support. Has he hinted that he would like to trying receiving a spanking?

It doesn't hurt (no pun intended!) to experiment. You can continue giving him love taps or playfully administer a light spanking and see how he feels. It will also allow you to figure out whether you enjoy this role or if you'd sooner be on the receiving end.

For me, I have always been turned on by either my doing the spanking or my getting my backside warmed up. So, go ahead and try it out. You will never know whether you'll truly like it until you start with small steps and work your way up. If it doesn't go well, you know that you'll always have a rosy red bottom to look forward to.

The other day, I received a batch of fun questions from Han. Here are my answers:

Do you read a newspaper daily? 

Sadly, I don't read the paper version of a newspaper daily. Instead, I tend to read the online version as often as I can, which is pretty close to being daily. Otherwise, I get my news either on the radio or at night when I have a chance to watch the evening news on TV. 

Do you watch television a lot and what are your favourite programs? 

Great segue! I don't watch as much television as I should. I find that I watch more TV when I am on vacation, mainly because I am often in another country and like watching local programs. 

I probably watch television an average of fourteen hours a week. I tend to watch the news. I also like Live! with Kelly and Michael and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. I do enjoy watching hockey games and special sporting events, but I haven't been doing that much these days. 

Are you interested in politics? 

This question is a good one. My ex-hubby taught politics. I follow politics, but I am nowhere near being a passionate political junkie like he was. Coincidentally, my guy is interested in politics, but he doesn't ram it down my throat. He can spend a decent amount of time debating his views with others on Facebook and other sites. He has cut down on that these days. 

As for me, I am a mathematical girl. So, when there is an election, I am far more interested in the poll results, statistical trends, and other tidbits that are math-related. 

I don't have a specific party that I will lean towards supporting. Rather, I will look at what each candidate's platform is and decide which one I support. 

If possible, do you vote for a male or a female, or is the gender irrelevant? 

Gender is irrelevant to me when I vote for a candidate. It's more about what the candidate stands for and whether that person is fit to govern. 

I am fortunate to live in Canada and be Canadian. We have had both male and female prime ministers. When I lived in Winnipeg, I had a gay mayor. Living in Ontario these days, I have a lesbian premier. As long as they do a decent job in standing up for what Canadians want and representing them, all is well. 

Do you miss giving spankings as much as you like receiving them? 

I do miss giving spankings. I still like giving my guy lovetaps here and there, but it's not the same. However, I don't miss them so much that I insist on spanking my guy hard. 

I must admit that I love being spanked these days. My guy does it well and he has embraced spanking me. At first, I thought that he would think that I was weird for liking to be spanked. He likes that I get so turned on that he doesn't find it strange at all. I love that and him, of course. 

Did you do other D/s activities we she should know about besides spankings? 

Such a great question! My guy and I have explored light bondage. I like being lightly tied up. I enjoy having my hands secured while he spanks me now and again. If we don't have a silky scarf or some velvety rope, I get aroused when he holds my hand behind my back.

One time when we were on vacation, he gave me an eye mask. I tried it on. He tickled me and kissed me while I had the mask on. It was fun and enjoyable. I wouldn't mind giving the eye mask another try soon.

March question: guests for dinner and drinks

What four people (and their spouse/partner), living or dead, would you invite for an evening of drinks and dinner? Would your guy choose the same? If not, what are his choices (if he chooses to answer)?

Here's my answer:

• Madonna
  She can bring her latest boy toy to our soiree. I have loved her since I was twelve years old. I would ask her a ton of questions at dinner, but would ask about whether she is still interested in spankings. If so, I would ask whether I could give her one or she could put me over her knee.
  
• Pet Shop Boys
  I'd invite Neil and Chris. I don't know whether they are dating anyone these days. I have met them in person. They are wonderful together. You always get stimulating conversations when they are together.
  
• Jann Arden
  She is my favourite Canadian female singer. I have met her a number of times and love her dearly. She is so down-to-earth and has a wicked sense of humour. I think that we'd need our own talk show!
  
• My guy
  I don't think I need a reason for him to be at this dinner. Sure, he gets hungry often. However, he is a great conversationalist and is wonderful company to have. And, I don't care if I'm biased here!

Birthday plans and spanking

My guy's birthday is coming up in a couple of months.

I have been a planner all my life. When I was in grade 10, I was the one in my close circle of friends who would negotiate when we'd meet and where, what mall we would shop at, and so on. I had a rough idea of what we would do, but I never planned it like clockwork.

Nothing has changed in that department. I still tick that way.

My guy agrees that I am an organized planner. I already have his birthday gift ready and have an idea of what I would like to do with him that day, provided that he is not on a business trip like the past couple of years.

As you know, I am turned on by a birthday spanking -- both giving and receiving one. My guy does not seem to be interested in getting spanked. However, he does like a lovetap or two on occasion.

I have a couple of options:

• I can playfully spank him on his birthday
• I can take his place and get his birthday smacks

Spanking and being spanked by the ex

Goodness, I have been bad at posting -- again. However, I have more to say now.

It's difficult to write about spanking when I haven't been spanked much. Well, I have been as of late, but with some complications.

In August, I returned to my ex-husband's place to remove the rest of my belongings. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of hauling a number of his heavy books that were in boxes, as he is vacating the apartment that we once shared. I ended up with a pinched nerve in my back between L4 and L5. My bottom is also relatively numb due to this pinched nerve. My walk is affected the most.

Anyway, before my pinched nerve happened, my ex-husband and I got into a minor spanking session. I first gave him a bare-bottomed spanking. He bend himself over the couch that we had bought together as a couple. I gave him ten slaps on either cheek. His bottom immediately turned a nice pinkish shade.

Needless to say, this spanking session did not make me want to get back together, although I think that the ex-husband is hoping that I will reconsider. A number of spanking tidbits

Geez, it has been quite some time since I last wrote. I just want to say thanks to Brucie for posting a couple of messages a few weeks ago. I appreciate your taking the time to add insight to my posts and for sharing your experiences with me. It means a lot, considering that I'm new to the spanking blog world.

Well, this post refers to a couple of things that DJ, a colleague at work, said last week. He is on a strict diet and has since lost nearly fifty pounds in roughly four months. He looks great. However, he's getting tired of his low-carb diet.

He told me that he might get off it soon and be a "naughty boy." He then made the comment that he'd be "whipped." I have suspected that he's a closet spanko. The whole naughty boy scenario is such a turn-on.

My hubby likes when I take him over my knee and call him a naughty little boy as I give him a sound spanking. As for when I'm over his knee, I do a bit of a reversal. I'll protest that I'm not a naughty girl, but a good one. The smacks on my bare bottom generally get more intense, which I love.
