Shorter workweek and travel plans

It's a short workweek. I thought that yesterday was Monday, so I'm already messed up!

I am planning to travel at the end of November. I am contemplating making it a work-from-across-the-border trip. I'll take a couple of days off to be a tourist and I'll also have the weekend to continue exploring. It'll be a decent mix as I ease into travel, but not going crazy like I used to.

I see more of my friends travelling these days. I feel more comfortable planning travel myself.

Good day with a crumbling memory

Monday was great. I vacuumed and washed my car. I also filled it up with gas.

I managed to pick up food from the two places that I had in mind in downtown Toronto I also visited my old neighbourhood.

I feel like my past is crumbling as the years go by. As I passed by the apartment building where I spent my first nineteen years of life, two men were destroying the concrete front steps. I am sure that they've been there for decades, well before I was alive.

I felt completely relaxed being a tourist in my hometown. I should do this excursion more often when I have a day off.

Hinting at being punished

I like how fun conversations between my guy and I become:
"I am looking forward to being on vacation. It's nice to be a tourist," I said.
"I agree. I can't wait to be with you," he said.
"I have ideas on where we can go. It's a question of packing everything in, including our favourite liquidation place," I noted.
"Yes, it's a must," he agreed.
"I love being trampled over by aggressive money-saving people," I pointed out.
"Someone likes punishment," he observed.
"I like a different form of that, done by a good-looking guy," I replied.
"All in good time, my dear," he said cheerfully.
"Yay!" I exclaimed.
We miss each other. He returns home in a couple of days.

Seat sale on a flight and approval from my guy on my plane ticket

I have two more days of vacation left before I go back to work. I wish that I could be so relaxed like I have been so far.

During the holidays, I managed to book my flight and hotel to visit Shanghai in late May. Yes, I am planning my next block of time away from work.

I have been thinking about doing this trip for three years. Thanks to a Boxing Day seat sale, I managed to nab a decent price.

I told my guy about how much I paid for my round-trip price. He was pleased.
"That's cheap," he replied.
"It's cheap bastard-approved?" I asked him.
"Yes, you're a good CB apprentice."
My next task is to get a photo taken for my tourist visa. Ah, the joys of paperwork!

It's on - my guy and I are vacationing together at the end of this month!

My guy broke the news to me yesterday. His trip at the end of the month has been finalized. I have already booked the week off. Our vacation together is good to go!

We are both excited. Well, he still has to work during the day. We get to spend time together after he's done work. Yay!

My guy is doing well. He went to a football (soccer) game the other night. He also managed to do some sightseeing in Rome and eat some delicious food in Naples this past weekend.

A few more days before he comes home. I can't wait.
