Spoke too soon and had another horrible night of sleep

I have figured out why I haven't slept well recently. I consumed strawberry black tea just before I had muscle spasm issues in my right foot and ended up having a couple of sleepless nights this week.

On Thursday night, I went out to redeem a couple of coupons for a free movie and popcorn at the local movie theatre. On my way home, I stopped by my favourite bubble tea store to get a strawberry black tea.

My guess is that the black tea had so much caffeine that it kept me up longer than it typically does. I normally am okay consuming it before 11 pm. However, for the past couple of nights, I finished the drink well past midnight.

I got through my day on Friday pretty sleepy. I went out for dinner with a couple of friends, came home, and slept for an hour in front of the TV. Ah, good times!

Concert, movie, and road trip home

I attended a wonderful concert on Saturday. I was on my feet for over four hours.

Today, I spent part of my afternoon at a movie theatre, legs reclined, watching Bohemian Rhapsody.

I drive home tomorrow. It will be a long drive, but I hope to return to Columbus again soon.

Crazy Rich Asians

I finally saw Crazy Rich Asians. I loved it.

Although I can never relate to being in a rich family, I get being on the receiving end of prejudice and unfair judgement. I also relate to how dysfunctional families can get and how unreasonable family members can be.

I may go back and see it again. The other movie that I want to see is A Star is Born. I have a feeling that I may have difficulties getting tickets, but I'll try.

My guy is still going through back pain. It sucks.

My birthday - touching in our booth

Today's my birthday. My guy and I went out to see Incredibles 2. Yep, I don't mind being surrounded by kids. It's so not a kids-only flick. It's great!

My guy took me out to a restaurant by the movie theatre afterwards. I had grilled salmon with ancient grains (it tasted like wild rice, but better), broccoli, and spinach. It was really good. I got a grilled lemon to squeeze all over my dish. It feels good to eat light and healthy, especially when it has been hot.

My guy got a burger with fries. There was a cute little pickle skewered on top of his burger.

Fifty Shades Freed - I saw it!

I saw Fifty Shades Freed on Saturday afternoon. We got some snow in the greater Toronto area, but it wasn't severe enough for me to stay away from the movie theatre.

I had enough points to watch the movie for free. I got there too early. However, I managed to grab lunch, so it was nice to eat quietly for a bit before folks came in.

It's bittersweet that the trilogy is over. I am looking forward to watching it a couple more times in the theatre before I get it on DVD.

The movie was good. It was nice to see Christian and Ana marries. Ana is the wiser of the two, with Christian working through his issues with her.

This final movie was a thank-you to fans. I wished that the movie were longer. It felt rushed. It did have a plot!

I will try not to spoil it, but I liked when Christian was crying and Ana held him. It was a poignant moment.

There wasn't as much spanking as in the two other flicks. There was just one lovetap after Christian applied sunscreen on Ana's back.

Watching Fifty Shades Freed and playing with each other

My guy knows how much of a fan I am of the Fifty Shades movie series. He knows that I can't wait to see the third and final flick.

My guy is flying home and I want to see Fifty Shades Darker again

My guy is on a plane, travelling home. It seems like ages since he has been back home. I can't wait to see him again.

My guy has completed his first week on travel. He told me that it has been a rough week for him and is glad that it is over.

He is travelling from Brussels to Chennai as I type. He called me just before leaving for the airport.

"Fifty Shades Darker is coming out next week. I can't wait to see it," I told him.
