Crepes and an iced latte

After work today, I went to get some crepes for dinner.

I had the crepe monsieur with ham for my main course:

For dessert, I got a Nutella crepe with sliced strawberries and bananas:

Both crepes were yummy. I also got an iced salted caramel caffe latte. I'm not a regular coffee drinker, but this espresso drink was fantastic!

Mondays should always be crepe days.

Honey

On Saturday, I did a lot of driving. It was fun, except for traffic jams. The theme was honey.

I visited a honey farm and learned how to make honey. It was cool. I learned that it's best to hold still when bees are near you. They aren't stingers.

Roughly forty minutes away from the bee farm was a ribfest. I needed to grab lunch, so I got a full rack of ribs, coleslaw, baked beans, and cornbread. There was so much food that I brought the rest home for another meal.

I then drove to a mead store on a farm that also has beehives. I got two cans of mead and a bottle of apple peach jam.

My last stop was getting a sampler of mac and cheese, iced tea with honey, and cornbread. I then went home.

It was a great day. I was too tired to write anything last night, so here I am writing tonight before I hit the sack.

New loaded tea place

I found a place roughly ten minutes away by car that has loaded iced teas. They are loaded with vitamins and flavour, and don't have any sugar. Yay!

I had one called the mermaid, which is like an orange blue candy in liquid form. It was so good and huge. It took me the entire day out and about to consume the whole thing.

The weekend has started on a great note.

Music and spilled drinks

This morning, my music transferred successfully from Google Music to YouTube Music. The downside is that my Mac mini had such a workout that it's not booting up. It's currently taking a break.

Yesterday wasn't a great day for beverages. I spilled both my green iced tea and black cherry pop. I mean at least half of it poured into two different carpets. Ugh!

Finding items to use at home and making tons of iced tea

One more workday before the weekend. I am looking forward to it.

My doing spring cleaning and reorganizing various parts of my home has made me find items that I should use more often. I am using a heart-shaped bar soap, liquid soap, and a bath sponge in a gift box that I had never opened until now. They are all nice.

I am a tea drinker. Being at home, I drink a lot of iced tea these days. When I was in the office, it was always hot tea.

I love my tea collection. I bought a ton of tea when I went to London, UK and Istanbul, Turkey several years ago. I also have various tea varieties that I have bought locally.

There are some positives working and staying at home. Naturally, I miss people and being able to move around without distancing myself from others.

Dealing with a cough with lemon

My cold has developed in a cough with some mucous. How charming!

Tonight, I visited a tea place and got an iced lemon green tea. This place is generous with the lemon ratio. I also got tapioca in it for free.

I felt much better drinking it. I generally have a hot lemon drink in the morning. It seems that I need to overdose on the lemon these days.

Vision improvements and iced chocolate goodness

On Wednesday, I went to my ophthalmologist for my fifth eye injection.

He is pleased with my recovery, as I am. I would estimate that 90% of the blood obstruction in my central vision is now gone. He told me that he doesn't normally start to stretch out injections for eye stroke patients this soon. I seem to be an exception. I am grateful!

I started off going monthly for my injections. My recently appointment was six weeks later. My next one is in two months.

My guy has always wondered why I wasn't optimistic about making a full recovery. He knows that I tend to be a positive person. I find that I deal with such uncertain situations if I go with the worst case. Anything better is an added bonus.

My ophthalmologist feels that my sight is practically perfect. I can't complain. I am definitely at a much better place than I was in late March.

I am still not used to having a needle going into my eyeball. I don't think that I ever well, but I can endure each procedure.

Instead of getting a lollypop after each session, I now go to the cafe next door to get an iced chocolate beverage that is both fudgy and yummy.
