Drinks, beer, and ID

Last Thursday, I dropped by RendezBrews. It's a large outdoor patio in downtown Toronto where you can get different beers from all over Ontario and yummy eats.

I ended up getting two alcoholic drinks. One was a blueberry blonde beer. The other was a raspberry lemon vodka soda. The latter didn't have any sugar in it. Both were refreshing and enjoyable.

I also bought some tom yum wings. They were so delicious.

Ontario has a new rule to show proof of vaccination at restaurants and bars. This one never asked me for it. Instead, it was more concerned about whether I was of legal drinking age. Interesting.

Day off and the KitKat Chocolatory

I took Tuesday off as a personal day. I got a lot done, from getting my car serviced, to hitting the KitKat Chocolatory.

What's the KitKat Chocolatory? You can make your own KitKat bar. It's pretty cool! I got a voucher to make a free KitKat bar and it was a lot of fun.

I'm still going through the entire experience in my head. It was such an enjoyable day.

Virtual meeting with real drinks

Last night, I attended a virtual meeting where we got to drink beverages and chat from the comfort of our own home. There was a nice woman who showed us how to make two cocktails. I loved it all.

On Wednesday, I went to the bar that this woman owns and got my cocktail mix that was pre-made. I haven't had pineapple juice and coconut cream in a drink in ages! It was recommended to add some rum, which I love. However, it tasted so go the way it was that I didn't even bother with the booze.

I have an ice cube tray where I made ice shaped as pineapples. It was incredibly fitting.

It was a fun hour chatting with new people. Now, I'm dreaming of this drink.

Foot and muscle pain sucks when you want to sleep

Now and again, I get muscle spasms in my right foot. It was pretty bad last night. I woke up at nearly 4 am to pain.

I can't recall how many ibuprofen pills I managed to take. It was strange, but I had a mini panic attack. My bedroom was getting hot, mainly because of my tossing and turning in bed along with the heating kicking in. I had to drink some water and eat a protein bar to ease things for me. I also took long breaths, which helped.

I didn't go back to bed, but I had a conference call at 7 am. I said hi at the beginning and actually fell asleep for nearly two hours. Hopefully, I wasn't called upon to say anything. This meeting call ended up being just under four hours.

Part of me wanted to call in sick. However, I took it easy working from home, as the muscle pain lasted all day, with it dying off right about now.

Some days are rough. Here's hoping that tomorrow will be much better.

Unwinding with beer, nachos, and manicures

Work has been hectic this week. It became especially stressful for my team on Thursday. Our manager was the cause.

I felt so drained on Friday that my team went out after work for nachos and beer. It was a good time had by all. Our manager had taken the day off, so that helped even more.

One of my colleagues is essentially my mini-me as far as work ethic goes. It's great.

A month ago, she asked me about my nails and how I apply polish on them. I described what I do. She had always thought that I went to a nail salon every week. When I broke the news that I do my own nails, she was impressed.

For the last three weeks, she has followed my lead by doing her own nails. I was so proud of her on Friday. Not only has she continue the same trend of giving herself a manicure, she had painted her nails purple, which happens to be my favourite colour. Her nails looked beautiful.

It's great when a stressful week ends on a positive, uplifting note.

Happy Halloween - being naughty

It has been so busy that I completely forgot to wish everyone who enjoys Halloween a safe and scary one!

I live around the corner from an elementary school. Halloween is important on my street. I'm the type who loves shelling out candy and giving out full-sized chocolate bars. Why? You need about five of the treat-sized ones to feel like you actually ate something!

My guy and I had this chat earlier in the day:
"So, what are you going to be for Halloween?" he asked me.
"Nothing special. I'm going to wear my M&M's outfit," I replied.
"I know how much you love M&M's," he remarked.
"How about you?" I asked him.
"I'm always your Mr. Meanie," he answered.
"I must be your naughty M&M's girl then," I replied.
"You sure are. I like spanking my sweet girl," he replied.
Halloween is also a good time for a spanking. Then again, pretty much any day is a good one for me.

Loving my legs and leggings

My guy loves my legs.

On Friday, I told my guy that I was at a bar after work, having a drink with a colleague and our manager. I indicated that all servers at this bar wear black leggings.
"I love when you wear leggings," he told me. "You have nice legs."
"Thanks, sweetie. I know that you love touching my legs when I have leggings on."
"Yes, I do. They are the most attractive pair of legs I have ever seen," he admitted.
He's sweet. I still remember when he first hugged my leggings after quality time. He truly loves them.

Being together and learning about a spreader bar

My guy and I always have good chats over Skype when we are apart. Somehow, our conversation got a bit serious for a bit the other day.
"It has been over five years that we have been together," he said to me.
"Yes. It doesn't feel like it, though," I replied.
"I agree."
It doesn't. It's probably because we see our relationship constantly strengthening and growing. Things are still fresh and exciting after all these years.

Then, there's the spreader bar that intrigued me from Fifty Shades Darker. It did the same thing for him, too.

Again, our relationship continues to be fun the more we learn about things together.
