Sleeping poorly and being apart

This week, my guy is on a business trip in Montreal. The last time he was there, he had just bought his new car and drove there. This time around, he took a flight out.

We both haven't slept very well. Last night, I was tossing and turning. I eventually stopped looking at the clock at 03:45 and woke up three hours later, just raring to go to work.

My guy wrote to me tonight, saying that he was too tired to talk. He hasn't slept well for the past two nights.

I am not sure whether it is the cooler weather here or the fact that we are apart that is keeping up awake.

  1. Usually people sleep better in cooler weather so I'm betting the problem is being apart. Sending lots of positive energy that you two get some decent sleep.

    1. That's true. I sleep better when it's cooler. My guy likes a warmer room because he gets cold rather easily. I think you're right that it's because we are apart that we haven't been sleeping well.

We have been doing better since Sunday night as far as getting more hours of sleep in. He comes home today, so we should be sleeping more soundly soon.

Thanks for dropping by, Cat. =)

  2. Ahum. Hot nights CAN keep you awake, girl with the naughty name.

    1. Nice one! Well, those nights can get rather steamy when we are together. Hopefully, we'll have hotter nights soon when he's back home.

  3. I would have to guess it's because you are apart from each other. The cooler weather might be a sub factor though, because he is not around to keep your warm

    1. I agree, Blondie. It's funny, but he calls me a furnace because my body temperature seems much higher than his. In the winter time, I seem to keep him warm just by touching his cold hand. However, snuggly up to him always makes me feel warm and cozy. =)
