Voted early at a shopping mall

We've got a federal election coming up this month. Yesterday, after work, I voted early.

In the past, my advance poll was either at a community centre or school. I feel that the pandemic has changed things. The former tends to be used as a vaccination centre these days. School just started for many here and it's in-person, so having the auditorium as a poll with students, teachers, and voters was probably not the best idea, either.

My advance poll, which is also my poll on election day, was at a shopping mall. It was different and deadly. There's nothing like shopping and eating after voting!

I'm glad that I voted. Happy weekend, everyone!

US election and the need for process improvement

The US election. I like watching election results because I'm a numbers person.

After all these years, I don't fully comprehend the electoral system. I find that the entire voting process drags on and could be scaled down to be more efficient.

That's just me, though. I look at inefficiencies with whatever I see and do. I do that at work, and make suggestions and proposals to make things better.

Luckily, I'm not tasked with making the US voting process simpler and easier. I applaud the record turnout. However, it seems ridiculous to spend eight hours lining up at a polling station to cast your important vote.

Anyway, I am still watching the election programming. I like that I can watch Global TV on Amazon Prime. It's cool and convenient.

Election results - Canada voted!

Monday was election day. We voted our Prime Minister back. However, he leads a minority government this time around.

I had voted at the advance poll before heading to the Twin Cities. It's important to vote.

I like watching election results come in. It explains why I am writing this post so late on a weeknight.

I'm off to bed!

Thanksgiving long weekend and voting

Tonight, I am staying at a hotel closer to the airport. It's fun. It also saves me time in the morning getting to the airport. I don't need to do an hour-long commute.

I voted at the advance poll on Friday after work. I won't be able to vote on a Saturday like I typically do. I also don't like voting on voting day. It takes me forever to get back home and it is whenever everyone is scrambling to make their voice heard. I'd rather do it early.

I like voting. I have a say. It makes me feel good after the fact.

This weekend is the Thanksgiving long weekend in Canada. Yes, I'm heading stateside, but it's worth it.

My post on Chross's site, voting early, and photos

It is always a pleasant surprise when one of my posts ends up on Chross's Spankings of the Week page. This time makes it number four! My post-analysis of how sore my backside was after my last spanking made it and I am truly flattered!

On Saturday, I voted early for the municipal elections. I tend to vote early because voting day always lands on a weekday and I don't like rushing over to the polling station after work, lining up, and trying to figure out who I want to vote for.

I have worked at all three levels of governmental elections in my life. By far, the municipal elections are the most enjoyable to be a part of. In my city, the results are automatically tabulated by computer. You  can even vote online. I like lining up and having a ballot to make my candidate selections.

Next month, I am travelling to Turkey. My passport expires in April, so I need to renew it. It helps to have a passport that is valid for at least six months. I got my passport photo taken today at Costco. I look so different now than I did 4.5 years ago. I definitely like how I look now.

Then, I looked at my photo on my Costco membership card, which was taken thirteen years ago. It is not a flattering picture of me. I looked like a convict and my membership level wasn't quite right, either. As a result, I got that photo retaken.

It was a productive day. Too bad the passport office isn't open on the weekend. Otherwise, I would have submitted my application by now!
