US election and the need for process improvement

The US election. I like watching election results because I'm a numbers person.

After all these years, I don't fully comprehend the electoral system. I find that the entire voting process drags on and could be scaled down to be more efficient.

That's just me, though. I look at inefficiencies with whatever I see and do. I do that at work, and make suggestions and proposals to make things better.

Luckily, I'm not tasked with making the US voting process simpler and easier. I applaud the record turnout. However, it seems ridiculous to spend eight hours lining up at a polling station to cast your important vote.

Anyway, I am still watching the election programming. I like that I can watch Global TV on Amazon Prime. It's cool and convenient.

Revised spanking tally - number of spanks is in triple digits

Love our lurkers (LOL) day ended up being a two-parter event this year. My intent was to collect comments from day one. The number of comments that day would be tabulated and the final result, along with the various spanking plans, would be shared on day two.

I received four comments on day 2. Part of me wants to say no, that wasn't the original plan, and to reject them. The pushover side of me wants to include them.

Well, since I am creatively adjusting my spanking plans from LOL day, I am going to include the four late comments, but reduce the number of smacks. So, instead of eight smacks, they count as four.

Why? I want the number to be 34. It's sentimental.

When my guy and I first started dating, he didn't want to know how old I was. To this day, I don't know whether he knows how old I am. To him, it doesn't matter. He just wants to be with me and love me. It's mutual.

We were chatting one day, several months after we officially started dating. He said that I looked cute and young. I was curious how old he thought that I was. Without hesitation, he said that I looked 34 years old. He was and is sweet.

So, it's 34 spanks. It's final.

My guy and I agreed on the following spanking plan:
  • 34 smacks with a wooden hairbrush
  • 34 slaps with my purple acrylic ruler
  • 34 whacks with a leather paddle
  • 34 spanks with whatever implement my guy would like to use
My guy is happy to carry out this plan. I can't wait! I will definitely share the results of this fun plan. Thanks for helping out!

Love our lurkers (LOL) day - your comments count towards smacks across my bottom!

It's my second time participating in LOL day. Yay!

I didn't plan the first one all that well. I had just read about it. I simply asked readers to pose questions and I responded enthusiastically.

I do know what it's like to be a blog lurker. When I first started out writing in this blog, I visited other blogs to find out what was out there for a spanking enthusiast. It opened my world. However, I didn't start commenting until much later.

These days, I am better at commenting. I just wish that I had more time in the day to read every blog out there.

So, please leave me a comment and say hi. I don't bite!

There is an added incentive. For every comment from a unique visitor (yes, you!), it will count towards two smacks across my bare backside. I will let you know what the final tally will be. My guy will do the honours in administering my sound spanking. You can also vote for a spanking implement that my guy should use on me.

I'd like to get in the double digits, so comments are encouraged!

Fifty Shades of Grey by the numbers

Yes, I am becoming a fan of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie. Who knew? I have a guilty pleasure. Of course, it could be a lot worse.

I have a Pinterest account, but I rarely use it other than for saving recipes that I'd like to try. Well, I stumbled across this fine gem from MTV. It summarizes the movie by the numbers. I love numbers. I love this movie. It's perfect.

Coincidentally, the number of spanks is my favourite number. All is well in my little world.

Now that April's blogging challenge has ended, I can't wait till June's spanking A to Z blogging challenge

I have just wrapped up my participation in April's A to Z blogging challenge. Now what?

Last year, I signed up for the June Challenge: Spanking A to Z. I saw this year's version posted on Spanking Romance's blog the other day. Without any hesitation, I signed up for it.

I am ranked as the thirteenth person to have signed up for the blogging challenge. I have never found the number unlucky. I just missed my favourite number, fourteen. Oh, well!

So, please join me for another month of my running through the alphabet and finding themes to write about. My self-imposed challenge is that I am not to duplicate themes from one challenge to another. The letter x often causes me the most grief!

If you'd like to participate this challenge (I love good company), sign up by adding your name to the list of participants. You can also read all the fine details of June's challenge by clicking the graphic in the right navigation bar on my blog.

As for May, I may slow down the frequency that I blog. The weather is nicer here, so I will have to enjoy it. I may also read up on the fine blogs that are out there and comment more often than I do right now.

K is for The Kebob

Hey, my post for the letter f has made it on Chross' regular Spankings of the Week post! I am truly flattered. Thanks!

As this challenge progresses, I find it more difficult to come up with topics to write about. It's call a challenge for a reason!

From the title of my post, perhaps you're thinking that I intentionally had a clever double entendre or sexual innuendo of some sort in mind. Nope. Not at all. I am going to talk about kebobs.

What is The Kebob? It is a restaurant that my guy and I drove by just before we started dating. We were in his car, along with another colleague. We were trying to find a place to have lunch.

Our colleague didn't pay attention to it. My guy and I had the same thought when we first saw the restaurant sign:
"We should go to this restaurant to get only one kebob," I said.
"Yes, you only get a maximum of one kebob at The Kebob. Order more than one, and you're escorted out the door... the only door."
Perhaps that was a sign that we were meant to be together. We are nerdy when it comes to quantities. We also have strange senses of humour, but we get each other and how wacky our thoughts can get.
