Fifty Shades of Grey by the numbers

Yes, I am becoming a fan of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie. Who knew? I have a guilty pleasure. Of course, it could be a lot worse.

I have a Pinterest account, but I rarely use it other than for saving recipes that I'd like to try. Well, I stumbled across this fine gem from MTV. It summarizes the movie by the numbers. I love numbers. I love this movie. It's perfect.

Coincidentally, the number of spanks is my favourite number. All is well in my little world.

Summer Spanks... we have a winner!

Hello, everyone! I am back from my wonderful, humidity-filled trip to New Orleans. It was wonderful.

I ate a lot of local fare. I thought that I would gain a ton of weight, but it helped that I didn't rent a car. I stayed downtown, so I forced myself to walk more and to take the streetcar.

I am tired, though. Monday was my first day back at work and there was a lot of work waiting for me. Ah, the joys of taking vacation. The work piles up.

Anyway, I am late with announcing who has won the $25 CAD Starbucks card that I had for Summer Spanks. I enjoyed participating. It was a lot of fun! Unfortunately, I had issues with the scheduler. It just goes to show you that clicking the Publish button is more reliable.

Congratulations to Kristin Elyon, who will be getting the e-version of a Starbucks card soon! I will send it to you when I am not as sleepy as I currently am.

Thanks to everyone who participated and to the fine folks who organized this fun writing event. Thanks for having me!

I hope to get back to writing post regularly. I have unpacked, but I still feel like I'm in vacation mode!

Summer Spanks: Last Flings or Lessons Learned

A few weeks ago, I decided to participate in the upcoming Summer Spanks: Last Flings or Lessons Learned fun. Between September 5 and 7, I am to post a spanking-related story, poem, or whatever I am in the mood to share.

I then read the fine print after I had signed up and I need to offer an individual prize. Well, I am a huge Starbucks fan, so it is only fitting that I offer a $25 CAD gift card. It is the perfect gift, even if you aren't a coffee lover. I fit the mould in that I like coffee-flavoured drinks, but I can't do coffee with cream and sugar. Starbucks has a variety of non-coffee drinks and yummy food.

So, the tough part is trying to figure out what I plan on writing for this post. The fun part is actually being creative with the post.

I am a writer by trade. Today, I had my performance review at work. Well, my manager and I ran out of time because I had a meeting to attend. He had asked our team on Monday to spend an hour indicating how we achieved our various goals. It took me less than an hour to fill out my form and send it to him. He told me that I wrote a ton. I had to remind him that it's normal for me to write that volume in point form. He nodded in agreement.

Anyway, if you have any topics to suggest for this exciting challenge, please drop me a line!
