Sleeping in and departing home

My guy loves to sleep. I affectionately call him my sleepyhead.

In Dallas, I left a day before he was scheduled to head back home. I let him sleep in till noon. I then gently woke him up by squeezing his arm. He took the pillow off his head.
"Hey," he said.
"Hey," I replied, kissing his head. "I have to go."
"What time is it?" he asked me.
"It's 12:15 pm," I replied.
I hugged him in bed. He caressed my head. It was a nice, loving moment.

Like the gentleman that he is, he helped open the hotel door for me as I got my luggage out to the hallway. Naturally, we kissed and hugged.

I love our quiet moments. They are memorable and are full of love, even when he just woke up and is in sleepyhead mode.

Changing restaurants, stepping up and down, and being a gentleman

I got tired of eating at the same Afghani restaurant three times last week. The fact that my order was messed up on all three occasions put a damper on my mood.

At noon, my guy called me on Friday and said that he was downstairs. I said that I'd be there in five minutes.

He wasn't downstairs, but I noticed that his car was parked outside. Nice!

I walked over and I got in.
"Are you good if we try shawarma today?" I asked him.
"Sure," he said. "I love shawarma."
"I know. When you called me a while back and I said that I was at a shawarma place, it's this one that we'll be going to. It's good," I noted.
"That's good," he replied.
"Turn left at the lights," I said, as if I were a GPS.
"I love your voice. I wish that your voice were on my GPS," he noted.
We walked into the restaurant. I told him to watch his step. He was impressed at how spacious the place was.

I got the chicken shawarma dinner, which comes with rice and salad. He got what I used to order, which was the beef shawarma with hummus.

He loved his meal. He even asked if he could take some of my pita. I was glad that he did, as I couldn't finish all my pita. I did polish off my entire meal.

When we left, he led. I didn't realize that he didn't see the step.
"That was an unexpected drop," he replied.
"That's because I didn't say to watch your step like I did before," I noted.
He got to his car and opened the car door for me. He's such a gentleman.

It has been a nice couple of weeks seeing him at the office. I was getting sad that I wouldn't see him this often, but he said that we'll try and plan something out.

Back from vacation - recap of my travel day back home

I have been back from Istanbul since Saturday night. I have missed blogging.

Work is nuts. Our entire department received an e-mail stating that we all need to come into the office for the next three Saturdays to work.

I have an arrangement to work four days in the office and one day at home. Working an extra day for the next three weeks throws my schedule out the window. So, I had to ask two project managers and my boss whether I could work from home for the next three Fridays.

One of the project managers likes me. I have been telling my guy about him. My guy has nicknamed him Sharky, because he constantly circles around my desk at work. As expected, he didn't object.

The other project manager and I used to get along when she was a quality assurance manager. She is nice, but she has no clue how to be a project manager and we have been in several disagreements, mainly because she is not a good listener. It was to the point where I got both my manager and her manager to support me.

Surprisingly, she was okay with my working from home for the next few Fridays. Other than the extra long workweeks to come, all is well.

On Saturday, my guy and I had breakfast, packed up, and left for the airport. We held hands in the taxi the whole time.

He is a gentleman. He did not want me to lift a finger. At the airport, you have to place all your luggage on the conveyor belt for scanning. My guy did all the heavy lifting, which was greatly appreciated. When I tried to help, he told me not to, giving me that look that he was going to smack my backside if I did. I asked if I should look cute and pretty standing there. He agreed.

After going through security without a hitch, my guy looked at me.
"Which way is it to the business lounge?"
"It's that way," I pointed. "It's past the Victoria's Secret and Starbucks."
My guy freely admits that he is horrible with directions. The last time I was at this airport was June 2013. My guy was here in December and he has visited the country more that I have.
"Why did you need to ask me?"
"Because I am lost and you always find me," he said sweetly, holding my hand.
I bought some Turkish delight. My guy had to wander off to the duty-free side to make a claim. He told me to stay in the store so that he could find me. It was cute, but I was fine shopping away.

We went to the Turkish Airlines business lounge. It is fancy! It was my third time there. The food is wonderful. We lounged on leather recliners in the movie theatre. I got to caress his head. He remarked that he loves my expression when I do, as if it is the first time that I have ever done it.

We had to catch our flight, which was delayed twice, but only for 1.5 hours. I have seen worse! My guy got me a minced meat-stuffed pastry. I had wanted the hot dog pastry, but he refused to get me that, as expected.

We were one of the last few people to board the plane. My guy and I were fortunate to get seats next to each other. My guy likes the aisle, so I was fine sitting in the middle. My rolling bag ended up in business class because there wasn't enough room above us.

I entered the row first. My guy groped my butt. It made me smile.

We ate, talked, held hands, watched movies, and played games during the 11-hour flight back home. At times, I rested my head against his chest and he rested his head on mine.

Travelling with him is nice. I hope to do it again soon.

H is for hot dog

This challenge is for 26 days, as each day starts with a letter from the alphabet. So, with June having 30 days, I could either blog six days a week, or just trying to get through each day with the next letter of the alphabet. I seem to be doing the latter. We'll see if I can continue this trend!

I talk about my love for eating a hot dog now and again. Last week, I went to South St. Burger Company and ordered one. My guy called me while I was indulging. I am probably one of the few p people who love a leafy lettuce leaf in my hot dog bun. We then talked on Skype and I told him about it.

My guy vows never to get me a hot dog. He is right that a hot dog isn't exactly the healthiest food you can choose, but he is bending a bit these days. This compromise consists of my buying a hot dog and eating it occasionally.

Our hot dog debate started when we were both in St. Louis. My guy loves Costco. It is his favourite store. We went there to shop. My guy is boyish in that when he is hungry, he must eat something or else he will be a grumpy guy. He may start whining. It wouldn't be a pleasant experience. So, we ate there.

He is a gentleman in that he will always pay for my meal whenever we are out. He doesn't have to. He wants to. At Costco, it was the same routine, except that he wouldn't let me order a hot dog.

Since then, I always bring up the suggestion of going out to get a hot dog. I like to see my guy roll his eyes and tell me that it will never happen. I will playfully pout and whine.

One conversation that I never wrote about went something like the following several months ago:
"You're mean. You should let me order whatever I want to eat at Costco, including a hot dog."
"Hot dogs are not healthy," he reasoned. "They have tons of chemicals that I don't want in your body."
"True, but they are yummy to have now and again," I insisted. "You want me to be happy, right?"
"Well, you have a larger hot dog that you can eat," he said, making his segue into being naughty. "My hot dog is reusable and healthy. You can also put all the condom-ents on that you want."
He's punny that way.

From allegedly ruining the coffee-brewing process, to being groped and pinched

I had a bizarre set of events occur at work today. I will get to that in a bit. Today was a bit rare in that I went out with my guy and another colleague for lunch. My guy and I rarely have lunch together these days, as he is often on the road and I tend to have lunch at home.

I drove us to a Mexican place. We sat there and had a great conversation. I offered to drive us to and from the establishment.

When we had finished eating, my guy was nice to take my empty tray and return it to the garbage area. I told him that I truly appreciated his kindness. He is a gentleman.

At the office, I decided to get some hot water for my tea. We have a hot water spout that is connected to our coffee maker in our communal kitchen. I am purely a tea drinker. I did my usual and got hot water using the spout.

A colleague noticed what I was doing and said that I was "ruining" his pot of coffee. I had no idea that one couldn't use the hot water spout while a fresh pot of coffee was being brewed, although both the coffee and my hot water seem to be working fine. I also don't drink coffee, so I didn't know that there were two minutes left in the brewing life cycle.

I apologized. It was a lose-lose situation. My colleague snapped by that I wasn't "sorry enough," as I continued to fill my mug up with hot water. He literally expected me to wait until his coffee had finished brewing, even though I had already ruined it. He didn't have to make a huge issue out of it, especially when he said that, "Next time, I will stand there."

So, I went back to my desk and shared this experience with my colleagues. I don't understand how irritable folks can get over coffee, especially at work.

My guy likes playing the role of saving a damsel in distress. I do like seeing this side of him.

I went back into the kitchen at around 17:30 and we chatted.
"Let's see if any coffee is brewing," he teased.
"I'm not here to get any more hot water," I confessed. "I'm just here to wash my mug, but I need to find some paper towel."
I eventually found a cupboard with paper towel. My guy came swooping in.
"Let me," he said, grabbing a roll out of the plastic wrapping and putting it on the holder.
"Thanks," I said.
"See, I do nice things for you," he teased.
"I never said that you don't!"
I started washing my mug. He came over to me and pinched my left buttock. It completely drove me wild.
"Tonight or Friday?" I asked him, referring to some quality time in the treehouse.
"Friday," he said. He had to drive a client to the airport today.
"I wish it were Friday today," I admitted boldly. He groped my right buttock, which I loved.
"Let me know when you're leaving work today," he whispered in my ear. "We can find an empty elevator."
"I'd like when we're in the elevator together," I confessed.
"Me, too," he nodded in agreement.
Roughly half an hour later, I said goodbye to my colleagues. My guy followed me to the elevators. There was another colleague waiting. I decided to let him in and waited for my guy. He went into the washroom.

Another elevator was available. I got in. My guy got in, too. I smiled and pressed the ground floor button. The doors closed.

I draped my arms around his shoulders. Our lips met. We kissed. We French kissed. He pressed his body against mind. I could feel how hard he was. His hands meandered to my buttocks. He groped them simultaneously as we continued to kiss. Our elevator ride was nearly over. We managed to unpucker.
"I am incredibly turned on," I said, with a huge smile on my face.
"Me, too." he said quietly. "Goodnight!"
"Goodnight," I said, walking out of the elevator, horny, but content.
