Having comfort food and reliving good memories with my mom

It makes perfect sense to crave certain foods that bring comfort, or be comforted by something or someone during a pandemic. When it comes to the former, I seem to love carbs.

The other night, my mom and I were reminiscing about meals that she used to cook when I was younger. She fried up some luncheon meat when we were in Hong Kong years ago. It was my first and only visit there. She had never made it until then. It was delicious. So simple. Yet, so good.

I grew up with her making macaroni in soup. Last night, I did takeout at a local Chinese restaurant that has a drive-thru. I got macaroni with veggies and fried luncheon meat in soup. It came with fried eggs, milk tea, and ham. I brought it come to have for dinner. It felt like the comfort food that my mom used to make.

It was yummy. It made me feel happy.

Phallic fried pickle spear

On Tuesday night, I went to a food event. I got the last fried pickle spear.

I typically don't like pickles. However, if you fry them, I apparently like them.

I took a photo of my fried pickle before I devoured it. It reminded me of a penis.

My mind is overactive at times!

Early for breakfast - getting to the truth with a kiss

My guy asked me on Monday whether I wanted to grab some breakfast. I had already eaten, so I wasn't hungry.
"It's strange that you have time to have breakfast with me. Normally, you're running late when you head to the airport," I pointed out.
"I've changed. It's the new me," he said boldly.
"There isn't a full moon. You love sleeping in. I don't buy it," I said to him.
"Here's the truth," he explained.
"Ah, ha! I knew it!" I exclaimed, which made him smile.
"My friend needed a ride downtown, so I woke up early and now I'm here with you," he said.
He had finished eating his fried egg breakfast sandwich. He walked over to dispose of the wrapper, but ended up groping my breasts and kissing me down my neck before getting to the garbage recepticle.

After getting rid of his sandwich wrapper, he approached me from my left and kissed me. I love when he does that.
"You look especially cute and sexy this morning," he said, sitting down.
"You're pretty good to look at on a Monday, too," I noted.
I like when he stops by the office, especially to perk up a mundane Monday.

My guy is lo mein!

On Saturday, my guy ordered the beef and mushrooms on a hot, sizzling plate for lunch. I had brought my appetite to the Chinese restaurant. I hadn't had anything to eat since 19:00 on Friday. I went with the special fried rice.

Both dishes were yummy. My guy needed help polishing his food choice.
"You aren't eating the beef dish. You need to work on that," my guy noted.
"I have been focusing on the fried rice. It's so good," I reasoned.
"I know, but you need more protein," my guy stated, pushing the dish closer to me.
"You're such a meanie," I teased.
"You mean that I'm chow mein," he said, being punny.
"Horrible!" I exclaimed, while laughing at his terrible pun.
After we had finished lunch and left the restaurant, he continued with his pun.
"I'm still chow mein, right?" he said, giving me a side hug.
"You're lo mein," I replied.
"Hey, that's better," my guy observed.
"Lo mein. So mean. It's a closer pun," I said.
"See, my puniness is rubbing off on you," he said, grinning.
"Horrible!" I exclaimed, which prompted my guy to squeeze my left arm.
He's a sweet guy who enjoys puns.
