Rediscovering neighbourhoods and new good eats

During my vacation, it has been fun rediscovering neighbourhoods that I have frequented in the past. Coupled with getting good eats, I have enjoyed my ventures here and there.

Within walking distance in my neighbourhood is a Hong Kong-style eatery that opened a few months ago. I finally got around to ordering its signature beef brisket with thin noodles and this dish was fantastic. There were four different noodle options. I may need to try them all!

I also got the beef brisket macaroni in tomato sauce dish. Both were 50% off. Insane, but a great deal.

Shopping and seeing a pool noodle used as a playful spanking tool

On Wednesday, after work, I went grocery shopping. It's what I do on Wednesdays ever since this pandemic occurred.

I bought everything I needed, paid for my items, and carried my groceries in bags out the door.

There was a couple ahead of me. The female was walking ahead of the male. The guy had a swimming pool noodle. He used it to playfully spank the female. She had hot red yoga capri pants on and a short t-shirt.

They both didn't seem to mind what was going on. I liked watching. I had a nice view, as did the guy.

They were one cute, happy couple who made my shopping experience much more enjoyable!

Recovering from food poisoning

It has been a while. Here's the scoop.

I got food poisoning on Wednesday. I was working from home and wasn't feeling great. I ended up vomiting on four separate occasions. It wasn't fun.

On Thursday, I was starting to get better. I had a couple of crackers with water for a couple of meals. I was happy that I could hold food down.

I graduated to soup on Friday. Chicken noodle soup tasted so good from a can. I had to go to the supermarket. I felt weak walking to my car from my home. Luckily, I did much better walking around the supermarket.

Saturday left me exhausted. I went to run a few errands and took breaks, My stamina and energy are not fully there.

I took it easy on Sunday. I also have a cough. Raw honey helps soothe a sore throat.

I go back into the office on Monday. We'll see if I survive. I am thankful that I am on the mend.

Here's hoping that you're doing much better!

My guy is lo mein!

On Saturday, my guy ordered the beef and mushrooms on a hot, sizzling plate for lunch. I had brought my appetite to the Chinese restaurant. I hadn't had anything to eat since 19:00 on Friday. I went with the special fried rice.

Both dishes were yummy. My guy needed help polishing his food choice.
"You aren't eating the beef dish. You need to work on that," my guy noted.
"I have been focusing on the fried rice. It's so good," I reasoned.
"I know, but you need more protein," my guy stated, pushing the dish closer to me.
"You're such a meanie," I teased.
"You mean that I'm chow mein," he said, being punny.
"Horrible!" I exclaimed, while laughing at his terrible pun.
After we had finished lunch and left the restaurant, he continued with his pun.
"I'm still chow mein, right?" he said, giving me a side hug.
"You're lo mein," I replied.
"Hey, that's better," my guy observed.
"Lo mein. So mean. It's a closer pun," I said.
"See, my puniness is rubbing off on you," he said, grinning.
"Horrible!" I exclaimed, which prompted my guy to squeeze my left arm.
He's a sweet guy who enjoys puns.
