Jokes and mushiness

My guy and I were chatting the other day. He cracked a joke and I laughed.

"I love when you laugh at my jokes. Normally, I have to tickle you," he teased.
"Your joke was funny. It's some of your puns that are horrible. All because I don't laugh doesn't mean that it's not clever, you know," I pointed out.
"Yes, I know. I just want you to be happy," he admitted.
"I am, especially with you," I said.

Yep, it was a mushy moment.
