Cell phone cases and software updates

On Tuesday, I went out briefly to pick up a parcel at the post office. I also got some takeout for dinner.

I got two cell phone cases in the mail. One is purple that glows in the dark. The other is a clear case. I love them both. It's nice to have a protective case on my new phone.

I am currently upgrading a few software applications on my Mac mini. I'm ready for bed. I'm exhausted!

Battery percentage and a surprise parcel

On Sunday, I upgraded my MacBook Air to Big Sur, which is the latest and greatest MacOS. The upgrade went well and I like it so far.

The only thing that bothered me was that the battery percentage was gone. You have to select the option in System Preferences. I understand keeping things simple, but having this percentag hidden by default is odd to me.

Switching gears a bit, I got a small parcel from a local vendor in Toronto. I have been a fan of this vendor's products that I had asked the owner about a small little plushie that I've seen on his social media feed. I asked whether it was for sale. It wasn't, but he was happy to send me one for free for being so supportive. It was such a kind gesture.

Well, guess what? I didn't get one. I got two small plushies. So generous. These small gifts made my day.

Ring the bell... ring my bell

After work on Friday, I went to my local post office to pick up a couple of parcels. I walked up to the counter and saw this sign:

Naturally, after ringing the bell, I had "Ring My Bell" playing in my head. I smiled lugging my parcels out the door.

Let's schedule a late afternoon meeting on a Friday, shall we?

I worked on Saturday. It helped that my guy was late dropping by the hotel. I finished my work just before he knocked on my door.

I was hoping to take Friday off in lieu of working Saturday. Instead, I have an interview to conduct at 15:30. Who schedules a late afternoon interview on the last Friday before Christmas holidays?

So, I am going to spend an hour driving across the greater Toronto area to get to the office for a one-hour interview. I can only hope that this candidate works out.

It isn't all that bad, though. I had to pick up some parcels about five minutes away from my workplace. Still, it has caused me to shift various errands around to accommodate this rather last-minute interview.

C'est la vie. La vie est tellement maudite.

My new e-reader and relieving stress by reading The Spanking Hand Book

I have lots to write about. The problem? Work is crazy. To unwind, I have been reading more.

I came home on Thursday to a small parcel. My new Kobo Aura e-reader came in the mail. I love it. I am now the proud owner of both the Mini and Aura e-readers.

Within the next few post, I will write about some of the interesting tidbits of information that I have absorbed from reading The Spanking Hand Book, as mentioned in my last post. I read several pages yesterday at lunch. I was a good girl. I didn't masturbate in the lunchroom!

That's all for now. Here's to enjoying my new gadget!
