Hockey games and travel plans

I am analyzing the hockey games that I have tickets for this upcoming season. They require that I travel down to the Twin Cities. One of the tickets is for the Winter Classic games, which is so exciting because it's outdoors at Target Field. I have never been there.

I have my regular vacation just before Christmas till after New Year's Day. I am considering using some of my 2022 vacation to add an extra week to my vacation. It will allow me to take in three hockey games.

There is also thought about travelling in early October for a longer weekend. I can also try working abroad for a week in late November, so I can catch two games after work.

The good news is that I can fly. I am still a bit concerned about the mask situation in the States. It seems less reinforced than it is in Canada. Even though I am fully vaccinated, I don't know whether it's true for those around me.

I am doing a lot of planning right now. It's exciting to think about travelling again. It will be different.

Weekend, hotel, hockey, and travel

It has been a few days. I'm doing well. I have simply needed some down time to myself.

I am currently checked in at a hotel. I am taking a couple of days off next week for an extended weekend trip. It's snowing and windy. I'm heading to the Twin Cities tomorrow. It is my last trip for this hockey season. It's bittersweet.

I will likely get a pack of tickets for next season, simply because the winter classic game is happening in the Twin Cities. I'd like to attend and I get first dibs if I remain a season ticket holder. I also don't mind travelling back to the state that I once called home.

I left work early on a Friday. I rarely don't. However, my day started at 8 am. I left at 4:45 pm. It's still a bit late, but it's rare for me to get out of there before 5 pm. I felt great.

Enjoy your weekend!

Packing and restoring my iPod classic

I am packing light for my trip. I am away for three days and I am in the Twin Cities for two of them. I am technically done. I'll I need are snacks.

As of late, I want to return to simpler times. I spent some time last night restoring music on my iPod classic. Yep, folks say that it looks like a brick. However, it holds my entire digital music collection.

I like it because I don't need to stream my music. I don't have the option to check my e-mail or do searches online. I am removed from plenty of distractions.

The fact that it is probably over a decade old and still works well is nice. I am contemplating getting the newest iPod touch. It would be a distraction, as it has bluebooth, wifi, and messaging capabilities.

I'll stick with my iPod classic for now.

Sirius XM is down - ugh!

I have been a subscriber to Siriux XM satellite radio since I had my first Prius just over a decade ago. I like it, especially when I am doing road trips. I don't have to worry about finding a radio station that has clear reception as I drive.

I like the Saturday night dance party, in which songs from the 80's are played. Sadly, the service is down right now. It's a minor inconvenience, though. I'm playing music off my phone instead.

I still listen to music on my iPod classic. I have my entire music collection on it. Party of me would like the latest iPod touch version. It has bluetooth capabilities, which my iPod classic doesn't have.

Classic car meet classic spanking threat

For a while, my guy has wanted to get a classic car. He bought a 1978 Monte Carlo.
"I love it. It's manual," he said.
"Cool. When can I drive it?" I teased.
"Um, I'm not bringing it to work," he said.
"That's okay. I'll drop by your place on the weekend," I said.
"It won't be there," he said.
"I'll stay at your place until you let me drive it," I said.
"I'll have to spank you every day," he hinted.
"It's a good tradeoff, I think," I said.
I like when he plays a mean guy.

Cars and a looming spanking

When my guy and I last chatted, I teased him about driving his future manual transmission car.
"I can't wait to drive it," I said.
"No, you won't be driving it," he said.
"What's about we'll see?" I said.
"We'll see that you don't," he replied.
"No, I'm your good girl. I can drive it," I stated boldly.
"You are my bad girl. You are never good," he argued.
"No, I'm good. You haven't spanked me, so I must be good," I pointed out.
"I'll need to deal with that soon," he admitted.
I like when a spanking is looming.

Teasing my guy on driving his future car

My guy is extremely protective of his car. I love teasing him about it, even when he doesn't have his future car.
"I want to get a 70's car," he admitted, bringing up a conversation we have had a while back.
"I know that you do. You'd be driving a boat," I remarked.
"Yes, cars back there were long," he noted.
"I can't wait to drive it," I replied.
"I won't be driving it into work," he said firmly.
"That's okay. When I visit you, I can drive it," I teased.
"Um, no. You are never driving it," he replied.
"I will wear you down like I have in the past," I remarked.
"You are my sweet kryptonite," he admitted.
I enjoy teasing him. He likes when I do, too.
