Visiting a mall and a restaurant after a decade

On Saturday, I visited a shopping mall that I haven't frequented in nearly a decade. It has changed quite a bit.

I used to go to a Vietnamese restaurant located in this mall with co-workers when we all used to work nearby. We all don't work at this company anymore.

I was pleased to learn that this restaurant is still alive and kicking. I went back to get some takeout. I felt the need to support it and find out whether the quality is still there. It is!

The food was delicious. I was relieved and happy.

I will try not to wait another decade to drop by this eatery and mall.

Travel and friendship

I am all packed. I always feel like I have forgotten to pack something, though.

I am thrilled that I get to see a friend during this trip. I haven't seen her in a decade. I felt bad that I have not in touch with her as often as I would like.

It's good that she understands me. It's nice that our friendship remains strong and intact for nearly two decades!

Weezer covers Toto's "Africa"

I love 80's music. It's my decade.

In grade 9, our junior band played Toto's "Africa" for our Christmas concert. I loved that song, even though I practiced it to death on my clarinet.

I was thrilled the other day to learn that Weezer has covered the song. The band has done justice to it. Normally, I prefer the original. I still do, but I like Weezer's cover so much that I have been playing it practically nonstop since I discovered it.

Long live 80's music!
