I was distracted by one word that my friend, DJ, had said to another colleague.
The word? Paddywhack.
Yes, I'm referring to the nursery rhyme that starts off with this:
This old man, he played one,
He played knick-knack on my thumb!
Knick-knack, paddywhack,
Give a dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.
Of course, I sang it like this as I was growing up:
This old man, he played one,
He played knick-knack on my bum!
With a knick-knack, paddywhack,
Give a dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.
The goes backs to my early years of associating paddywhacks as birthday smacks. To this day, whenever I hear the word paddywhack, I get aroused, for I immediately think of getting my bottom smacked.
I truly think that DJ is a closet spanko. I thank him for saying that word today. It has made my day.
"A paddywhack on the ol' bumstead" is a fairly explicit phrase I heard one time. And I like the imagery suggested by "He played knick-knack on my bum." We're not talking about a punishment spanking. This is about having naughty fun with your saucy bottom nicely placed across the lap of kindly authority.
ReplyDeletePlaying knick-knack would mean "Here a smack, there a smack, everywhere a smack smack." And your enticingly round, resilient bottom would've been laid bare by now, making the knick-knack smacks all the more satisfying. Poor little bummie-bum getting all pink and toasty from a spanking. Definitely fun to think about. ;-)
