Ordered takeout from the wrong location

I did something odd last night. I ordered takeout with my app, which isn't all that weird. I didn't realize that it defaulted to a place roughly an hour away from where I was. I drove to the closest restaurant where I thought that I had placed my order.

I had already paid for my meal and it was ready. It was too far away for me to pick it up. So, I had to cancel and forfeit my purchase. I was oddly okay with it and hope that someone else orders the same meal.

It was so weird. I normally am pretty careful about location. I'll need to pay more attention next time.

Mr Men = Spongebob

Yesterday, I decided to get a Happy Meal from McDonald's. I haven't had one since I was a kid.

Why did I get one? It's offering Mr Men as the toy. I grew up with the Mr Men series, so it's a nostalgic thing.

Well, I specified the Mr Men Happy Meal. What did I get? Spongebob. Ugh!

Apparently, Mr Men all got a facelift and became Spongebob. I will try again soon and hope that the folks at my local McD's get my order correct!

New percentage calculation at work

I have a love for numbers. My guy does, too. We are math nerds.

I recently had to do an online course at work. You need to pass a final exam at the end of this course to get credit for enduring it. The course is roughly eight hours in length. Doing a final exam is painful.

You need 90% to pass the test. I ended up with exactly that percentage... or so I thought.

When I got to the very end of the test, it said that I got 9 out of 10 questions answered correctly. The percentage calculated was 89.88%. What?!

I asked the person responsible for creating the course a question on how this percentage is calculated. She admitted that something was odd. I managed to contact the training support group to get credited for taking this course.

I have never seen a weird percentage calculation like what I got. I told my guy this issue and he laughed.
"It doesn't surprise me that you'd be outraged about the calculation. It's what I love about you," he reminded me.
"You're sweet. You'd react the same way," I replied.
"That's true. We love math."
We do.

Messed up staycation weekend

My guy (MG) is funny. He texted me as I was in my car on Friday night, about to drive home from the mall.
MG: Hey
Me: Hey, just about to drive home.
MG: Home? I thought you were doing a staycation in my area this weekend.
Me: No, that's Thanksgiving long weekend.
MG: Oh, I see. In that case, drive home safe. =)
Me: Thanks! Have a great weekend =)
MG: You, too. =)
It's sweet that he misses me so much that he got the dates wrong.

Bank manager spanks employees in public for poor performance

I saw this post on Facebook. It's sad that a bank manager decided to publicly punish eight employees for not "exceeding expectations."

They aren't going to perform better if you beat them hard with a stick in front of their peers.

I enjoy being spanked by my guy with a wooden ruler or paddle. This scenario is completely different. I consent to being spanking by a good-looking, loving guy. I also want it.

These employees just stood on stage and got spanked. How horrible! They were probably too frightened to do anything because they would probably lose their jobs if they protested.

That manager should be fired. Then again, it is China, where things work differently under a Communist regime.
