Thai restaurant suggestion - success!

Yesterday, I recommended a bunch of eateries to the couple who have named a shake after me at their business. One of the suggestions was a Thai restaurant.

They actually went there for lunch and loved it. It was nice seeing a video of what they had to eat. It was cool that they trusted me.

New hairdo

I got my hair cut on Saturday. It is shorter at the back and is cut at an angle where it's longer in the front.

I used to sport this style a few years ago. It was nice of my hairdresser to suggest returning to it.

Normally, I get several inches chopped off. Considering that I am late getting to the hairdresser by a couple of months, I decided to not get as much of my hair cut. Thankfully, I can still put most of my hair in a ponytail. Perfect!

I'm happy with my new 'do.

Weed and open chats

The other night, I had a conversation with my former intern over dinner. It's nice that we are friends.

We got around to talking about weed being legalized later on this month across Canada. She was worried about using her credit card to buy weed online and then not being able to travel across the border. I said that she can either wait for the weed stores to open and pay with cash, or just go to the States. where weed is legalized She liked my suggestion.

It's neat that we are so comfortable talking about such issues. We don't judge. We have always been open. It's nice.

Spanking me for not getting a perfect paper

My guy shared the following video with me. It's a video on the difference between white and Asian parents when it comes to reacting to their child's grades.

We have done a bit of role-playing where he asks for me to get a spanking implement to spank me with. However, we have never done a scene in which I am spanked for getting poor grades.

"I would love to give this scenario a try," I said to him.
"Me, too. Would you like to be over my lap or bent over when I spank you?" he asked me.
"How about both? You can bend me over and spank me over my panties. Then, I can be over your lap for a bare-bottomed spanking," I suggested.
"Sounds good to me, sweetie," he said.

It's great when we both like each other's suggestions.

E-mail app suggestion from my guy

I tend to be the one who provides technology-related suggestions to my guy. He often tells me that he dislikes technology, despite both of us working in the field.

Nearly a year ago, I found an app called CloudMagic, which allows us to seamlessly connect to our work e-mail without any issues. My guy loved this app and told me that it changed his e-mail organization and work life for the better.

A couple of weeks ago, CloudMagic changed its name to Newton. It also changed its payment structure from being a free app to charging nearly $70 a year for premium services.

I received an e-mail from him on Monday to try an e-mail app called Alto. He told me, "It's FREE. CB very happy. =)"

I let him know that the basic features of Newton still work after the 14-day free trial that gives you all features. I gave Alto a try. I like it a lot. The user interface is cheerful.

My guy did well with this suggestion. I told him so. He is a happier CB.

Road trip, suggestions, and gems

My mini road trip is over. I did a fair bit of driving, but the concert was wonderful and worth the effort getting there.

On Sunday, I took my time driving back. I am glad that I did.

My guy told me about an outlet mall in the town next to his. I decided to drive there on my way home. I'm glad that I did.

I found a store that sells British food items. I ended up getting curry sauce for chips (also known as fries) and blackcurrant jelly. I love anything blackcurrant. My guy has always remembered my drinking blackcurrant tea when we were both in Stockholm. I had it every day.

I should do more road trips more often. I have learned so much about how kind folks are and some places that are pure gems. For instance, I found an excellent latino restaurant. The food was amazing!

Unfortunately, all good things have to end. I head back to work. Still, it makes Monday more bearable knowing that I had a fun weekend.
