Waving

On Wednesday night, I visited my local post office to pick up some parcels. I was waiting in line. There was a mother-daughter duo ahead of me.

The daughter turned around and looked at me. I looked at her. It's tough to gauge others with masks on.

My hands were a bit full. I still managed to shift whatever I was holding in my left hand over to my right. I waved at her. She waved right back.

Humans are cool, especially young ones.

Google Pixel upgrade coming soon

The contract on my cell phone is up at the end of this month.  I own a Google Pixel 2XL phone. I love it.

On Saturday, I went to Best Buy to take a look at the Google Pixel 4a phone. It is roughly the same size as my first Google Pixel phone. It's smaller in size than my current phone, but the screen real estate is the same.

Rumour has it that the Google Pixel 4a supporting 5G networks will be the same size as my current phone, which is 6". I feel like holding off upgrading till that phone is on the market. I like the larger size. I need to figure out how much that phone will be when it's out and determine what I want to do. Options are always good.

I am excited to do a cell phone upgrade. I do love my current phone. I will still use it, as I don't have a decent tablet and I like having a backup phone.

Being dopey after a handful of orgasms

After my guy had pleasured me a handful of times, we stretched out on the bed and cuddled for a bit. I reached down to play with his member, but ended up touching a different hard object.
"What's that?" I asked him, feeling an object similar to his hard cock.
"It's a hose attachment for hard water," he said, pulling it out of his pocket.
"It's looks like a butt plug," I pointed out, which made him smile.
"I need to go to the hardware store and get a replacement," he explained.
"I already have a hardware store here with you," I said.
I was pretty dopey. I held the hose attachment and looked through it.
"Hey, there's a hole. I can see!" I exclaimed.
"Yes," my guy said endearingly.
"Whoa, I can see your eyeball! I'll put it down," I said, scaring myself, which made him laugh.
I then decided to talk through it as if it were a microphone.
"Is anybody home?" I asked.
"I love when you're dopey," my guy said, kissing me.
It was partially his fault for getting me to this state. No complains from either of us, though!

Driving home and seeing a pedestrian sprawled on the street

I was driving home at around 20:25 on Thursday night. I was roughly two streets away from my home in a residential area.

I was stopped at the three-way intersection. In front of me was a black pickup truck with its hazard lights blinking. I had to drive around it, on the opposite side of the residential street.

The image in my head still shakes me. In front of the pickup truck was a body of a person. That person was in a starfish position, head up.

The driver of the pickup truck was standing on the southwest corner of the intersection. He was on his cell phone, calling 911.

Part of me wanted to pull over and see how everyone was. I was so shocked that I decided to drive home.

Moments later, I heard the ambulance siren. I hope that the pedestrian is okay. If I am in this state, I can't imagine what the pickup truck driver is going through.

There are a number of problems with both pedestrians and drivers in my neighbourhood:

  • At this specific intersection, pedestrians feel that they own it. They will walk diagonally across the intersection. Um, no. You cross one side of the street, and then the next.
  • At night, pedestrians often wear dark clothing. For drivers, it's difficult to spot you. The person hit was wearing black pants. However, the person's jacket was red, which should have stood out.
  • The speed limit in our residential area is 40 km. I have seen many folks exceed that speed limit. We have speed bumps and I live around the corner from an elementary school. Slow down, drivers!
  • I have often seen folks do a left-hand turn in my area and do not see me coming. I have to honk. Drivers need to pay more attention to both pedestrians and cars. Look both ways before you go.
  • Pedestrians need to look both ways before they cross the street, too. I deliberately back my car into my driveway. In the morning, I pull out and see everything and everyone. Thursday morning, a woman walked past my car. I waited for her to cross before I pulled out. I was driving and she nearly walked into the side of my car. I don't care if you are wearing a hoodie. Turn your head before you cross the street. Again, as a pedestrian, you don't own the road if you pull a stupid action like this one.
  • We are so distracted by our phones, music blasting in the car, and much more. Lose all of it. You're better off doing so.
I just hope that this pedestrian is okay. I keep looking online to see whether there are any reports. So far, I haven't heard a thing.

Getting a haircut and feeling great

I finally got around to getting my hair cut on Friday. I haven't had it cut for nine months.

My guy is observant when it comes to my hair. He loves touching it.
"Your hair is at the length where you feel that it needs to be cut," he noticed the other day.
"You're right. I need to get it cut soon."
On Thursday night, I was at work longer than I had anticipated to get a deliverable out the door. I know that my hair is too long for my liking when I have my purse across my body and the strap is trapping my hair. It happened as I was heading out the door.

After work, I thought about going straight to my neighbourhood hair salon to get a hair cut. However, I wasn't sure whether my regular hairdresser would be there.

Instead, I visited the salon just after 09:00 on Friday. My hairdresser was there, happy to see me again. She is the best. She does wonders with my hair.

My head feels a lot lighter without the extra hair weighing me down.

I went into work later on in the day with my shorter hair. It took me a while to figure out why my colleagues were looking at me differently. It didn't occur to me that they were looking at my hair!

Anyway, I am glad that I took most of my workday off to work on me. I have been neglecting getting my hair cut. My hairdresser mentioned that I have great hair despite not getting for that long. That made my day!
