Nuking a potato that starts a fire sparks a fun chat while cuddling

Last week at the office, I got up to refill my mug of tea with hot water in the lunchroom. It smelled like something was burning.

I chatted with a colleague, who agreed that something was burning. She went to contact someone. She came back and let me know that someone was attempting to bake a potato in the microwave. The potato was being nuked for ten minutes. The paper towel on which the potato rested had caught on fire.

I have never nuked a potato in the microwave before. Perhaps placing it on a microwaveable dish would have been more appropriate. I don't know whether the potato was pierced. It should have been.

My guy and I have fun conversations after being intimate. We were cuddling when I told him about this store.
"The sad thing is that the fire wasn't big enough to burn the whole building down," I said.
"You really hate going to work, don't you?" he said, smiling.
"What tipped you off?" I asked, teasing him.
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe the burning down part," he grinned.
"Maybe," I said.
We both laughed. We continued to cuddle and chat.

  2. It wouldn't have occured to me to microwave a potato. Conversations about all the things while cuddling are the best ;-)

    1. Thanks for dropping by! I don't have any inclination to give microwaving a potato a try, but it's there if I do. =)

Yes, I love chatting about anything while cuddling. They are indeed the best conversations.

  3. I love reading your blog because it is so real. You don't feel the need to make things up. You don't feel the need to write about spanking/sex all the time, but add these little stories about everyday life. Nevertheless, I can't help but wondering if you are never afraid that details such as this one (potato in the microwave) and about your job may give away your real identity.

    1. Thanks for dropping by and for leaving such kind words! You're right in that I never feel the need to make up anything on my blog. My thoughts and feelings easily spill out. I am happy to share what has happened to me almost daily.

When I first started my blog, I thought that I would be blogging about spankings and sex only. I find that there needs to be a balance between them and other aspects of my life. The fact that I am in a loving, meaningful relationship with a sweet man helps, too.

As for being afraid that some colleagues may read my blog and perhaps figure out who I am, it would be a pretty slim chance. The greater Toronto area is highly populated. There are many folks in my profession. I would be more afraid if I didn't have an outlet to share my thoughts and experiences, so I am willing to take such a small risk that puts me at ease.

Thanks again for stopping by and for making my day with your kind thoughts. =)
