F is for Fifty Shades of Grey

After nearly two months since Fifty Shades of Grey was released, I went to see it at the local movie theatre in Montreal, roughly two blocks away from my hotel.Yes, it took me this long.

I went for a matinee. I had checked out of my hotel at 12:45 pm and went over there. I was running a bit late and didn't get any popcorn or snacks. I'm glad that I didn't.

I haven't read the trilogy. Reviews have indicated that the writing is poor, among other anomalies.

As for me, I liked the movie. It made me happy.

I liked how Christian Grey says that he would make Anastasia's backside sore for a week. I am probably paraphrasing, so I'll need to revisit the exact quotation someday. I also enjoyed how he put her over his knee, hiked up her skirt, pulled down her lacy panties, and spanked her with his hand for rolling her eyes at him. It is reminiscent of my guy and me on many levels.

Although I knew that the ending was rather abrupt, I felt that it was fitting. Grey is an abrupt kind of guy, as demonstrated throughout the movie.

I also liked when he carried her over his shoulder and gave her a smack on her butt. Nice!

Luckily, I did not masturbate in the dark. The spanking parts did arouse me. Being tied up with a tie is something that I have enjoyed in the past. My guy doesn't wear a tie, but I could buy one for him for this occasion.

This weekend, I actually brought some rope. It'll be fun. I am finally with my guy at long last.

  1. Haven't been to see the movie yet but have good and bad about it. Congratulations on getting with your guy at last! Ya ought to buy him a couple of ties for the two of you to just play with. ;)

    1. I have heard mixed reviews about the movie, but thought it would be best to evaluate it for myself. My guy wants to see it with me, so we'll wait until it's available on DVD or Netflix.

  2. I still haven't seen it. I'm scared to watch, cause I'm afraid the spanking scenes won't be up to my expectations--heck, I don't even *know* what my expectations are...

Anyway, I'll probably see it when it comes out on Blu-ray!

    1. Waiting for it on Blu-ray sounds like a plan. I will probably do the same, so I can analyze the movie some more. =)

  3. Ah, well the fifty shades. I have not made it secret I'm not a fan of the books and the movie. But it has done the things Histoire d'O did some forty years ago. It got women in large crowds watching a movie about spanking and power exchange.

I'm glad you liked it, girl with the naughty name. Girl, not masturbating in the movie theatre...

    1. I don't have any intentions to read the trilogy. I have heard how poor the writing quality is, as well as the flow of the stories. I would be so annoyed!

Frankly, I was hesitant to see the movie. However, after reading blog posts about some of the spanking snippets, I decided to shell out for a movie ticket and I enjoyed the flick. I actually want to own the movie, but not so I can masturbate in the privacy of my own surroundings. =)
