V is for video release for Fifty Shades of Grey

As you know from a previous post, I haven't read the Fifty Shade of Grey trilogy. I doubt that I ever will.

When I was in Montreal, I finally decided to see the movie at the theatre across from where I was staying. I loved it. I loved the movie so much that I want to see it again.

I recently received an e-certificate for a one-night stay at a hotel. It expires within the next six days. I decided to use it last Friday.

It's fun checking in to a hotel. I was away from home, so it was a nice staycation. I was much closer to my workplace, so getting there after work wasn't a huge journey. It had a kitchenette. I brought some food and made myself some dinner.

I powered on the television. Sure enough, Fifty Shades of Grey was one of the pay-per-view movies.

It was so tempting. Should I watch it?

Instead, I found out through iTunes that the movie will be released on May 1st. I will likely be the proud owner of that movie, so I can play the spanking scenes over and over again.

  1. Hmm...

I have read the books and did like them despite the horrendous grammar. What can I say, a good story makes up for crappy grammar. I thought about going and seeing it, then I thought maybe pay-per-view. But, I think I would rather watch it in my home on my time in dvd format. Watching movies in pj's is so much better!

    1. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the books, Kathy! The grammar issues would bug me to no end, so I will need to stick to the movies.

I agree that watching these movies at home in comfy clothes is ideal. I can't wait to do that myself. =)

  2. Wow CB...thought it would be longer before FSOG was released to PPV or iTunes. Happy to hear you enjoyed your staycation. BTW...did you choose another PPV movie?

    Hugs and blessings...

    1. I know! There are a couple of movie theatres around the Toronto area that are still playing Fifty Shades of Grey. I will probably buy it off iTunes. If I have enough willpower, I will get the DVD version a week later.

I didn't get another pay-per-view movie. It's funny, but I have seen most of these flicks already! Instead, I watched hockey. It's not quite the same, but still enjoyable!
